Holiday-Velvet 

Our family stayed in the apartment in Oct 2013. The unit is beautiful and well maintained and equipped. The location can't be beat as it is an easy walk to all the entertainment and dining at the V and A. The complex is very secure and there were no safety concerns. The only complaint we had was that the tile floors were fairly dirty-had only been lightly surface cleaned and the corners were completely missed. We did bring it to the attention of the management and were thanked and told that would definitely be corrected. I specifically told him he did not need to call a cleaner back in on a weekend, so I can only assume it was better for the next guests
Be aware that, although the apt does have a washer/dryer it is VERY small.
I would highly recommend this unit and the complex in general

Every thing with holiday velvet was very good and satisfactory. We did not have any problem neither with the booked house nor with the service.

Three of us booked one of the most expensive apartments in venice because it looked beautiful and was very near the vaporetto stop. I am slightly disabled and find steep stairs difficult. For various reasons access to internet was essential and this apartment was said to have it. On our arrival we found the apartment on top of two extremely steep flights of stairs, two bedrooms but connected with a sliding door so you could only reach the second bedroon by passing through the first. Two tiny bathrooms next to each other, at the other end of the apartment. The furniture (which loked glorious and antique on the web) was tatty, untidy and covered wth throws of dubious cleanliness. Cutlery and crockery were old and mismatched, tables battered and arm chairs sagging. No internet, just a very old Tv set. We complained bitterly and were finally moved to another apartment- clean, beautifully furnished, overlooking a canal, only to discover that the rent was less than asked for the original appartment. I would never book anything with Holiday Velvet again, as I could not trust them.

Holiday-Velvet were fantastic. Everything we wanted in a holiday accommodation with no hassles. Would definitely use them again.

We were met on time by the Rep who was considerate and helpful. The apartment was exactly right and we felt at home as soon as we entered. Both the booking in and out went smoothly. We have nothing but praise for the service of Holiday Velvet

From booking the apartment, forgetting password several times and calling the UK office for help! To collecting keys and staying at the rental, was an easy smooth experience. The apartment was perfect for us, clean spacious and close to travel networks. There was a pub on the corner, which we all enjoyed, several times, not just because if the free internet connection, but because the staff were welcoming a fun.

If we had an issue, it was resolved very quickly, if we needed information, we were given it, And we were refunded our deposit, in the time specified.

We will be booking through Holiday Velvet again, as they were very professional and met our needs with no major issues.

Rep supposed to Meet us at 14.00 , no sign of anyone at 14.10 so I rang the number on the booking form and got speaking to someone in Poland who hadn't an iota about me, but gave me a London number to call
Got through to someone who knew about our booking and eventually got into the apartment at 15.15.
Went to the local bar to wait.
Apartment to be fair was excellent.
Service in my opinion should be much better than what was provided.

The booking process was friendly and easy and the staff helpful. The apartment exceeded our expectations. It was modern, clean, well equipped and very well positioned - not far from the centre of Venice but on a quiet street with lots of shops used by local people. Would certainly book through Holiday Velvet again.

There was a problem over the original property that we booked being withdrawn by the owners. This was handled very well and the outcome was faultless. The measure of an organisation is often how a difficulty is handled, in this case very well. With three generations of the family, some in Venice for the first time, we had a wonderful time. Recommended.

Holiday Velvet helped me rent an apartment for my short stay at Amsterdam. When I got there I was not happy with the fact that I had to collect the keys from a different location, not from the apartment. However the office with the keys was pretty close to the apartment so the issue was not that big.
Also, you need to pay attention at warranty you will have to give. In my case it was 300 EUR, which I consider a bit to much.
Aside from that, everything was ok and Holiday Velvet team was very helpful and cooperative!

Nobody explain us that the toilet has an open and close system.
When we arrive to the Venice apartment, one of my childrens ( 4 ) used the toilet and the shit , water and everything came out, and never stoped.
We have to clean up all that mess and we were newly arriving.
On the other hand the kitchen supply was very poor, it has not even soap to dish the plates.
But good location and very nice apartment

Booking through holiday velvet was easy enough, however the landlord of the property made a mistake by double-booking transfers from the airport and so charged me twice. Holiday Velvet contacted him but refused to refund any money, so I was left out of pocket.
The description of the property was also incorrect. When I told Holiday Velvet this they said the owner had probably made a mistake in the listing. 6 months later the listing is still the same... not much help at all.

Had some problems with renting apartments in Paris. In order suites me had a crash and I could not get them. But Holiday-Velvet quickly found a replacement for me. My stay was very good. Thank you for your excellent service.

That whut ı say , just trust!!!!!

We rented an apartment in Venice with a lift because of physical limitations. It was horrible. If you touched the sides anywhere it just stopped. It only worked once for us and we climbed five flights of stairs for the rest of our stay. There was no coffee pot and the electric kettle didn't work, we had three cups for four people. The bathroom drain was plugged and we were threatened with all sorts of fines, usually on our MasterCard at a hundred Euro, if we called and they said we didn't need them. We were threatened if we left any food or didn't get the garbage out on time. Four very senior citizens threatened??? Shouldn't happen.
The four of us decided to make it work and we just did it. The location is wonderful.
I wrote to them when we got home but got no answer. The rest of our stay in Venice was so great that we refused to let this experience mar it.

We booked a 3 bedroom apartment in New York. Conditions were questionable but was in a good position and we were not in the apartment much. No WiFi for the whole time we were there. They said they were going to fix this but never replied to our messages - no-one ever answered directly, always a message bank.
On our return, our security bond for our lovely San Francisco apartment, also booked via Holiday Velvet, was refunded immediately following our vacating it.
I had to chase our New York security bond of $500.00 via Holiday Velvet director, James Burrows. He eventually informed me that Smart Apartments whom they worked with for this apartment had gone bust and that Holiday Velvet would have to refund the bond themselves as the overseeing company. He then stopped replying to my emails. I sent an email regarding this to the general 'Contact Us' part of the Holiday Velvet website, to no response.
This refund has never happened and it is now a year that we were in New York and we are out of pocket $500.00 still.
Such varying service between San Fran and NY apartments even though under the one supposedly reputable company, Holiday Velvet!

We just came back from Rome and because we're large family and wanted to spread out and not be cramped we chose to stay in a holiday apartment which we rented through Holiday Velvet. The apartment was exceptionally well appointed, spotlessly clean and very spacious. We organised the taxi service to and from the airport through the Holiday Velvet booking form. This worked out extremely well for us. Everything went smoothly. Couldn't fault it. We all had a great trip and cannot recommend Holiday Velvet highly enough, in fact I just recommended Velvet to friends planning a trip to Rome!

I have used several Holiday rentals companies and I have found Holiday Velvet to be one of the best. James, the support guy was very helpful and ther apartments I have rented in barcelona and rome through them,have been exactly as promised.
