Hertz - New York - East 76th Street Recenzje 

Attentive service and helpfulness of LynSay, the Hertz representative who helped me to purchase insurance coverage when I checked out the vehicle, and who helped me to add another authorized driver to the rental agreement later in the day, and who was at the desk when I returned the car the following morning. I will definitely rent a car from this location again and I hope that LynSay is there when I do. She is knowledgeable, friendly and so very friendly! My thanks to her.

Awful customer service. Made to wait 45 minutes for vehicle even when the sign directly behind the customer service agent said that all reservations must be honored at original price within half hour of reservation. I was more than prepared to pay additional to have it 30 minutes early however was told that couldn't be done and the price would be more than double to original quote. The agent had zero empathy, customer service skills and continued to listen to her music and scribble on a piece of paper. Appalling!

This was a terrible experience. Horribly run location. First, I was discriminated by the staff for having a service animal (blamed for needing the car cleaned when there was no mess or no soiling whatsoever in the vehicle). Manager was unwilling to communicate with me, and instead over charged me intentionally, saying "you can file a dispute if you want, thats not my problem". Awful experience returning the vehicle: stuck outside the hertz location having to move the vehicle 3 times to get out of the way of other customers without any indication from the hertz staff on where to park the car. When I tried to wave them down, they showed no hustle or urgency to assist me in returning the vehicle, instead, simply let me get honked at by other drivers in the road.

While there was a bit of a wait on pickup and drop off, the process was definitely easy!!

Several days after I returned my car, my credit card was charged for a bunch of tolls, in places where I never even drove. I'm glad I happened to notice it on my statement. I had declined the toll coverage, and Hertz wasn't authorized to charge me for tolls.

It was very difficult to reach any human at Hertz customer service to resolve the problem. But eventually I did, and they refunded the money.

Car was clean and ready on my arrival. Pick up and drop off were very easy.

It was so easy to rent a car, even at the last minute and on a holiday weekend. The car was ready on time and the pickup and dropoff were a breeze.

Had to wait for 2 hours to get a car. Did not get the car booked in advance. Gas is half full. Had to fill the tank to start the trip. Not what is expected of Hertz.

Easy pick up and drop off

I rented a vehicle and when I got on the highway, it started to shake violently whenever I drove above 65 miles an hour. I spent over 50 minutes with customer service to get a replacement vehicle. I rented the car to be able to complete an urgent business trip that was tightly scheduled. The only resolution that customer service offered was for me to drive to an airport, which was over an hour out of the way for me and unacceptable giving my business obligations. They claimed that no Herts office anywhere I asked had a single car to replace the one I was driving.

A truly unpleasant experience.

The vehicle was clean and well maintained and the staff was polite and efficient. Great service!

There was only one person ahead of me when I arrived. I waiting 3 minutes at most. I rented online through Hertz, so the woman handed me my paperwork immediately and my car arrived as I left the office. Checkin just as easy. I couldn't believe how smooth the experience was. And the Volvo XC40 was wonderful. Great gas mileage.
I've rented once before--at Budget on E 87th--and it was a nightmare for me and all the other people in line when they ran out of cars!

The staff is great and knowledgeable, and they will always have the electric cars that we love and want more of in New York City. Thanks everyone

Overall, I like this Hertz location. Getting the car and returning overall is a breeze.
This recent visit, I had a couple call outs. It took around 45 minutes to get the car for this reservation, and it was because of the dated computers and payment systems that are in place. The employees were doing the best they could–unplugging and troubleshooting, it was frustrating for both parties. The systems at Hertz should be up-to-date and meet the demand of its customers at this location, especially with the pick-up area being so small.
It was also tough to still see that hole in the corner of the main pick-up office taped with a trash bag to block air. I understand repairs take time, but I hope that it isn't put off and maintains a priority to fix.

Best Hertz location in the city!

Everything at E. 76th runs well. Counter staff are friendly, knowledgeable and aim to get you in and out quickly. Their cars are always in good shape and staff & management will try to help you get the car that best suits your driving needs. They seem to care about their customers which is a good thing! When I need to rent from Hertz, this is location I prefer. No drama, just the way I like it.

I was promised a smaller fuel efficient vehicle, and was forced to take a gas guzzling large SUV against my will. I should receive a refund of some sort

Everytime I rent which is almost twice a week everyone is professional and great at their job.
