Great value …
After being quoted an extortionate renewal price from my existing insurer, healthy pets was half the price for almost identical cover. It has choice of cover from basic to lifetime cover, which I have chosen. Hopefully I won’t need to experience their claims service.

A great price for great cover
A great price for great cover. Luckily I have never had to call up on their services but I have all the information to hand if I do.
They offer a good discount to new customers only, so the only negative thing I would say was rather than reward loyalty, I had to cancel last years cover and take out a brand new policy to get the good price, but was only 10 minutes of admin.

They offered an extremely competitive price, where it was easy to see different levels of cover and features (such as co-pay, higher and lower cover amounts, etc). Couldn't have been easier to take out the policy, although I've not made any claims so can't speak to how straightforward that process is.

Exhorbitant increases. Has gone by 6x in in 4 years. I feel trapped
Avoid Healthy Pets. I've been a customer for 5 years, insuring my cat from age ~5. Like many, I was drawn in by competitive early premiums and promises of good service - but what has followed is a pattern of exorbitant, non-transparent annual increases, that feels designed to force owners from renewing. It has had the impact of me seriously considering whether I can afford to keep this policy, particular as my cat ages and has been unwell.
My premium has increased approximately 100% every year for the last 4 years. Over five years, that's a 533% increase. My cat is approaching 10 and has a long-term condition, meaning I cannot switch insurer without losing all cover for her existing conditions.
My first claim was three years in. That was used to double my premium. The next year, her age was used as a factor to double the premium. About a year ago, she was diagnosed with a long-term condition. Again, the premium doubled.
I have been told that the renewal price is fixed and non-negotiable, and that they cannot explain exactly how it is calculated. I have formally escalated the complaints and I get the same unhelpful response.
Most recently, they incorrectly classified my cat's single condition as two separate conditions during premium renewal - resulting in exhorbitant increases. Despite my vet confirming in writing this is a single condition, Healthy Pets have refused to explain how they will adjust the risk profile and therefore the premiums, despite making several complaints.
The pattern is clear: low premiums to attract young, healthy animals, steep annual increases as they age, and an opaque pricing structure that cannot be questioned or challenged.
I feel very trapped - I need to pay whatever they demand or I lose all cover. I cannot at this point change providers given that my cat is nearly 10.
My cat's insurance now costs more per month than my own health insurance.

I was already a customer and had to take out a new policy to get the same deal £40 cheaper.

Renewal prices are calculated based on your pet’s age, any signs or symptoms noted in their clinical history during the time they’ve been covered, and the rising cost of veterinary care — which has increased significantly over the past year. These factors help ensure your pet continues to receive comprehensive cover without interruption.
New policies benefit from a 20% introductory discount, but please note they come with waiting periods (48 hours for accidents and 10 days for illnesses) and won’t cover any pre-existing conditions. These include any signs or symptoms recorded in your pet’s medical history, even if no treatment was required.

Completing the insurance quote online took a bit of practice to ensure you selected the correct cover but once I got used to it was ok. It would help if you could provide a summary of all the information provided and allow it to be amended before agreeing to purchase and completing the Direct debit/ bank information
