Poor customer experience (again)
Of 4 items showing as in stock on website, only 1 was actually in stock.

Then got overcharged by £6 at checkout. Queried price and a hurried checkout operator told me it was correct. It wasn't.
Go Outdoors need to seriously improve stock management, stock display, pricing display etc.
Poor management.

Everything needed all under one roof!
Staff at Exeter super helpful even when the store was extremely busy! Store had everything we needed for our camping trip. Great quality and competitively priced, some even on sale. Also worth taking out the membership

Great customer service in the shoe department. I was served by Lewis who was very patient, helpful and professional. I tried on loads of different styles and sizes before finding the perfect pair. I really appreciate being able to shop for trainers in person much easier than on line.

Having navigated around some blocked isles I was looking in the fishing department when I young man asked if I needed any help. I asked him a question about some fishing items and he said ' I'm sorry this isn't my department... '(as I was waiting for the usual response in other outlets he said ' if you wouldn't mind waiting a bit I'll find someone who can help ' he was back in 5mins and had the answer to my question. Being wheelchair bound I'm used to people ignoring me and avoiding me, this young man ALFRED did all he could to help, it's refreshing to see young people not afraid to ask if someone in a wheelchair needs any help or avoid them the most important part of this interaction was Alfred kept eye contact with me, what a change it is to feel normal and part of society.
Alfred kept it up young man and you will go far, thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🫡⚓

Poor experience ordering online
Poor experience ordering online. Used the collect option at the store, but the status never changed from ‘we are preparing your order’ in the store app. The website very much discourages coming down until a pickup confirmation was received, so didn’t feel great going down to the store to enquire.

We have identified an issue with email communications not being received by some customers. This is being addressed as a priority to help prevent further disappointment. We can see that your order has now been collected from the selected collection address.
We are saddened to learn that that our website did not make you feel great about visiting the store before receiving the email to advise that the order is ready to collect. This is intended to prevent our customer's making wasted visits and we apologise that you were left feeling this way. This is not the level of service that we aim to provide.
