My dog
My dog, bless her, is 16 years old. She is always met with such care and attention. For that, I am extremely grateful as she can be a little grouchy with age but she’s nevertheless a gentle soul. So…. Thank you Goddard 🙏🏽

Good service
We have been taking our Dogs and other pets to Goddards for many years. The Reception staff and Nurses are very helpful and courteous. The Veterinary Sureons are incredibly knowledgeable and have a passion to help and care for your pets.

Really friendly staff who are always helpful with my questions. I have a British Shorthair and have been coming here for years, annual vaccinations have always been easily taken car of and other check ups are convenient to book and manage.

Our dog appointment
We recently took our dog to the vet it was a very positive experience. The vet took time to listen to our concerns. We really appreciated how she discussed potential long term options. Overall it was a very good experience.

Quick and efficient service for semi emergency treatment for a bite on my cat. Shame they always seem to have locums and can't find/ keep a permanent vet. Service still great. Thank you too to the kind staff on reception and the vetinary nurses.

Hi, thanks for leaving us your review and lovely comments about the team, and we are sorry to see your 2* rating because of the medication costs.
Whilst unable to comment directly on the particular medication to which you refer, we would like to assure you that whilst we do strive to offer value for money to our customers, there are a number of reasons why we're unable to compete with the low prices for medications sold by large retailers and/or online.
(Clients are always obtain a written prescription from us in order that you might purchase medications from alternative suppliers, and will always oblige when requested and the cost of a written prescription is shown on our individual practice website pages.)
Online pharmacies or retail warehouses enjoy significant savings on the cost of medications they acquire from suppliers on account of the large volumes that they purchase, which far exceed the volumes purchased by even a large veterinary practice. The ‘volume discounts’ they enjoy mean that they are often able to sell medications to customers for less than it costs us to purchase the medication from our wholesaler. The second principle reason is that the cost of running a veterinary practice is proportionately much higher than that of an online pharmacy. The high quality of our staff, equipment and facilities is much greater than the cost of operating an online pharmacy, and these overheads are reflected in our fees.
It is entirely understandable of course that you will wish to get a good deal on the cost of veterinary medicines, although we would always recommend that an online pharmacy approved by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate is used in order to ensure quality and safety.
Once again, thank you for your kind words about the team which are very much appreciated and we're sorry we were unable to deliver you a 5* service on this occasion.

Staff at practice are very friendly and supportive. They always go above and beyond and quick with requests. My fury friend is definitely in good hands! Visiting the practice for years, I would definitely recommend their services!

Highly recommended team of caring and knowledgeable practitioners
The surgery managed to fit my dog in for a consultation and treatment even though they were short-staffed.The locum vet was amazing and her expertise really comforting. Floki had treatment for 3 different conditions, I also needed advice on routine worming and tick medication plus there was still time to take a sample of blood from a lump to send to the lab. I have attended Goddards at Addington for many years and the staff are really caring always going out of their way to help me and my pet.
