Good luck getting hold of a real person

Trying to get hold of real person is next to impossible if you are a paying customer. Support cancels tickets without any response or assistance. They seem to care more about about billing then making sure you are supported to be a successful as a customer.

Scammer

The company scammed me. I got an email saying that if I left a review, I would receive $25. I wrote the review, but then the company deleted our conversation. So be careful — all their reviews are paid and fake!

This site is amazing… if you’re a seller. They can revoke Valorant accounts after 14 days, and your money just disappears. Truly a ‘fantastic’ experience for buyers!

I will not trust their reviews or ranking!

We selected a service based on their very favorable review and high ranking on their site, but the outcomes were disappointing. We shared an honest, low review and one-star ranking on their platform, but they continued to skip and make unreasonable excuses for not uploading it.
We’ll never depend on them again.

Gift Card - Beware

G2 is extremely difficult to work with if you have a question about receiving your gift card. I submitted a review, it was accepted and approved and is published, yet their customer service rep keeps telling me it doesn't merit the gift card. While it's only $10 it's the principle of the matter, I have sent them screen shots, of their emails, the published review, the acceptance /published email and yet they don't send the gift card. I have done reviews in the past where they did pay, I don't know why they wouldn't pay, all they say is it doesn't qualify for approval, yet I have the email saying it's approved. Also, when I try to respond to the email from support it always bounces back saying it's undelivered, talk about terrible customer service!

Dishonest company, stay away

I have submitted several reviews at least at G2 over the past handful of years. Recently I was sent an email about a "Review Party" that offered a $10 (I believe) Amazon Gift Card for a review of a certain program. It had been a while since I reviewed a software product there, so I thought why not, I'd love to. I completed the review and when I submitted it I was told they would review it and then send me the gift card. On 7/31 I received an email from them saying my review was approved. To date (over a week), I have not received any gift card. When I logged into my profile on their site, under "My Rewards" it says "Oh no! You haven't received any rewards yet!" According to other reviews, there are disclaimers that you have to be one of the first reviewers to get a gift card. I don't recall any language like that in the email advertisement I received (unfortunately I've since deleted it). I'm just very disappointed because they made it sound like I would be awarded a gift card... it seems pretty dishonest.

UPDATE 8/13: I contacted their Support over the failure to be compensated for the gift card and their response makes no sense whatsoever: "At this time, your review does not qualify for approval. This decision was made based on your G2 account information, review history, and other related data. Kindly note, this decision is final."

EXCUSE ME??? I was literally sent an email on 7/31 that my review had been approved. And now it's suddenly not. And could they be any vaguer in their explanation? What exactly about my account info, review history "and other related data" disqualifies the review from approval? I think they just wanted to scam me by getting my review and failing to compensate as I was promised, as others here have said. I'm disgusted by this company. If this is not rectified, I will cancel my account and post my negative review of them on as many sites as I can find. It's not so much the failure to compensate/deception that disgusts me now, it's the lame excuse their Support team gave. As if I'm stupid. I'm done with them. Beyond disappointing.

I would have given 0 if that was an…

I would have given 0 if that was an option. The message that incentivized my filling out a survey was it said in the email that for taking the time to fill out the survey you would receive a $25 Amazon gift card. Apparently that was not true. In the terms and conditions which most people don't read, they say you have to be among the first to offer a review, which is not stated in the original email. Do not give them any information. It was a lot of questions and took more time than I thought, but then I was promised a $25 gift for my time so I plodded through it. They will never get my info again. Not worth the effort. Steer clear of G2

I don't think G2 is completely honest

I don't think G2 is completely honest. They hesitate to publish honest reviews of certain companies and they put the pretext on 'incomplete' contact details or something else until we don't fight back.

A bunch of fake people trying to get positive review always

A bunch of fake people trying to get positive reviews for products. If a review is genuine but not very positive, they don’t publish it or offer any incentive. They only promote overly positive reviews, which undermines authenticity.

updated on 08/07/2025 : again another fake response they have given. They never sent a gift card but have published the review. Shame on you g2. I have sent an escalation to the customer product who asked me to provide a review on g2.

Unfair/Misleading Terms and Lack of Transparency

I want to express my disappointment with a recent experience regarding a product review incentive.

I was invited to leave a review in exchange for a gift card—there were no visible terms and conditions, no mention of restrictions, and no indication that eligibility was limited to the first set of reviewers. After completing the review, I was told to wait for the gift card. Four weeks later, I received an email stating I was not eligible because I was not among the first reviewers. At no point was this requirement communicated—neither in the email, during the review process, nor on the review page.

Following this, I attempted to contact customer service to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the system was unable to open a support ticket due to an unspecified error with my email address. I also tried using the chatbot, which ultimately redirected me to a generic self-help page without offering any real assistance.

This experience has been extremely frustrating. It feels as though the review process was promoted under misleading terms, only to later impose retroactive eligibility criteria and block any meaningful form of customer support or dialogue.

I would appreciate it if someone could properly look into this and address the concerns raised. At a minimum, clearer communication upfront would have prevented this situation.
