We understand that missing investment opportunities due to email filtering issues is frustrating. While we take precautions to ensure our emails reach investors—including using verified sender addresses—email providers like Gmail use automated algorithms that can sometimes flag messages incorrectly. While this is not a widespread issue, we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We recommend marking our emails as "Not Spam" to help prevent this from happening in the future.

Regarding your investment in Flower Turbines, we can confirm that your transaction was completed successfully. Once the issuer finalizes and countersigns the investment documents, you will receive a confirmation and full details of your purchase. We recognize the importance of clear and timely documentation, and we apologize if the process has caused any uncertainty. The issuer’s countersignature is a required step in ensuring your investment is fully processed, and we appreciate your patience during this final stage.

We also understand your concern about the investor dashboard and the availability of documents. Since issuers must complete their part of the process before documents become accessible, there can sometimes be delays, especially as campaigns typically run for up to 90 days before conducting a close. We acknowledge that this waiting period can be frustrating, and we are actively working to enhance the dashboard experience to improve transparency and provide easier access to investment details.

Additionally, we would like to clarify that investing in private companies carries inherent risks, including the possibility of losing the entire investment. We do not present these opportunities as a gamble but rather as high-risk investments, and we make this very clear throughout our platform, investor agreements, and offering documents. These risks are disclosed multiple times during the investment process to ensure investors are making informed decisions. While we strive to support investors in navigating these opportunities, it is important to recognize that private investments typically take years to mature and do not guarantee returns.

In regard to your previous review, we want to assure you that we value honest feedback from our investors. Reviews are only moderated in cases where they may contain defamatory statements, incorrect information, or are against platform guidelines. Trustpilot's team had reached out for clarity and temporarily removed the review while they gathered information. I understand that our Investor Relations team spoke with you via live chat this morning to add further context and clarity to the nature of our investments.

FrontFundr is a private markets investment platform meaning the companies you invest in are not eligible to be freely traded on something like a public stock exchange until there is a liquidity event. The average holding period we see for private investment is typically 5 years but can be upwards of 10 years.

Over the past two years, more companies have been choosing to stay private longer as the public markets have been quite volatile. We were just featured in an article in The Globe and Mail by journalist Jameson Berkow who was profiling the private markets in Canada and quoted, “the number of operating businesses listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, for example, has fallen to just 712 by the end of 2023, down from 1,166 in 2002.” It’s important to note that these investments are also high-risk in nature and some investors may never see a return on their investment which is why investors are provided a risk acknowledgement form as part of the investment process. You can find this in your documents package on FrontFundr.

Since these companies are private, their stock prices do not change on a daily basis. Also, given the state of the private markets the last few years, many companies have not experienced tremendous growth as they’ve been navigating high inflation, high interest rates, and a global pandemic.

FrontFundr continues to work with the private companies who have raised on our platform to provide updates where we can on the status of their businesses. You will be able to find these updates in your investor dashboard when they are available.
