I love taking photos and I was hoping that Foap would give me the spirit of competition and challenge. This was the case all the time until I won the competition and decided to withdraw the winning $25. They promised that the money would arrive on my PayPal on December 1, 2023. And now it's March 2024. Almost half a year has passed since I clicked the withdraw to PayPal button.
I wrote to support and got the same answer twice. “We are experiencing some issues in our payment system which we are currently addressing. The payments will be made once the problems are fixed.”
It was a shame, because I heard a lot of positive feedback, participated in the community and took photos specifically for competitions. It’s a pity that this application turned out to be a disappointment, which consumed a lot of emotions and time.

I’m a new user to Foap. I was excited to share my amateur photos on this platform. But being new to this an other social media apps, I was also excited when I got many likes on my recent uploads as well. However, I was also contacted by so called individual buyers claiming they would like to buy my photos, and being somewhat naive to this offer, soon found out it was all just a way to get photos without payment. My only issue with this app that I was unaware that individuals would contact you regarding your pictures within the app, and then promising to buy them but never really intentionally. I thought this app was only for legit businesses and owners to correspond with photographers. I thought all possible purchases would be legit and through the app only. Lesson learned

I've been with Foap for several years now, and I enjoy participating in their missions, being able to win, and selling lots of photos. I have also had opportunities to work with particular brands which have giving me more sales. I love the different kinds of missions or themes which have allowed me to be more creative and expand my skills in photography.

Foap has paid me for my sold photos, almost completely up to now, although there were delays. I've always been patient waiting for payments, and I haven't even been reaching out to them.

Only until recently, I've emailed them (twice) to follow-up with pending payments. They replied within a week and sent the payments immediately.

The only thing I don't like now is the Paypal fee being charged to us which is almost 5% (it used to be free of charge). I hope Foap can make up for this (maybe paying a higher rate per photo) to makeup for this lost income from the sales.

Overall, I love Foap and I get to correspond with the staff who are helpful and quick to respond like Artur, Jules and Maria.

I have been a member of Foap for a several years. Over that time, I have had lots of interactions with other photographers and with Foap support staff. I've even had opportunities to work with brands on photos. I can honestly say that I have received payment for every single photo that I have sold over the years (approximately 400 photos!). In recent times, there have been some delays with payments. I'm not exactly sure why and if there's a problem, I always send an email to support and get a response.

Haven’t been paid for nearly a year. Foap says it was a problem with PayPal that has been fixed. But still the photographers are not being paid when their photos sell or win contests. Don’t bother putting photos on Foap.

Foap says in its comment below that “payment for your sold content has also been processed to you.” No it has not been received as of today March 1 2024. My account says it was supposed to be received in July 2023, but it is still unpaid today and my account says it’s processing. I already contacted the Foap team a few months ago.

Update March 4 - I contacted Foap a second time as they suggested in their response to this post. They replied that their PayPal payment system still isn’t working and that’s why I haven’t been paid after waiting nearly a year.

What is foap? This is an opportunity to be in a community of people with similar interests and an opportunity to understand how pro you are in the field of photography and video. Yes, foap gives you the opportunity to earn money, gain some fame, subscribers, but only if you try to be on top. Personally, I have won 19 competitions and I am not going to stop there. Fopp is a serious company headed and judged by real professional world-class photographers. Perhaps you have a chance too. Try it! The main thing in a photographer’s business is consistency and perseverance. Honing your skills and you will be rewarded morally and financially. Foap application for people who want to improve and work with Brands. I won't miss my chance. And I advise you to come to the foap. You may ask how much money did you earn? So that you have the opportunity to sell your photos and earn $5-25 and sometimes 100$. The main thing is to be persistent like me! I've been in FOAP for over a year now and don't regret it.

Foap is a very trustworthy company! I have been a member for a few years and it has been an absolute blessing! It has been a great way to stay challenged with the art of Photography and also to have an opportunity to earn money. The Foap staff is very helpful and quick to get back to you if you have a question. I also enjoy the many kind photographers that encourage me and others.

Awesome App and great community of talented people. I met a lot of cool photographers on Foap. Lots of great challenges. Sold a lot of pictures and always got paid ( sometimes with a little delay ) but it’s not a problem for me at all :). Keep up the great work Foap!

Foap is amazing ! Perfect for any budding photographer … Missions are set by Foap and cash prizes are awarded for the best entries. It’s fun to enter and to read comments praising your efforts or you can compliment the talent of fellow Foaper entries.
I think Foap has helped me improve my photography skills over the years I’ve been Foaping !
Occasional bugs and hiccups do occur but you can always contact Foap who are always so friendly and help resolve any issues.

I have been a foap user for nearly 3 years now. I was searching for an app to help myself be challenged and be motivated to improve my photography and foap has done that for me. I met so many cool fellow photographers, have been chosen to work the specific brands and I enjoy every mission that I can participate on. Foap has helped me connect with people, brands, and improve my craft.

I've worked with Jules on a project. The communication was really good, we also had a zoom call to figure some details out! I would definitely work again in the future!

Very unreliable website I’ve been uploading some pictures when it was finally time to get paid my account was deleted. Gone just like that it took months building up that profile

I've worked as a UGC creator for several big brands together with Jules on foap since a year back now. We had some struggles/issues with payments from paypal during the beginning of last year but I always felt very comfortable with my contact person Jules. She was very trustful and available to do her best to fix the issues as fast as she could.

We've worked together several times since then without any paypal/payment issues. So overall I have a great experience and I feel like we've develop a good relationship and collaboration together. I feel trusted and I'm happy to be able to develop myself and my creator-skills together with Jules, foap and their customers and looking forward to collaborate more during this year!

I've been a foap user for a while now. I've sold quite a few pictures there but since the first half of last year (2023) things started to get fishy, as far as I'm concernd. They stoped paying for the pictures I (actually all of us) sold and nothing changed still. They say that they have PayPal problems, while other stock photos sites don't have this problem.
My guess is that they are in insolvency or something.
If so, they should announce this on their website and not mislead people in uploading pictures while they are not planning to pay for.
If you are planning to join foap, think again...

Apparently there are a lot of envious people there or competitors who like to report photos for no reason. it's so beautifully anonymous
Due to this misuse of the reporting function, I have had to wait days for manual verification, which is extremely bold

I hope this never happens again, otherwise I would rather support the competition
and that something is finally being done against the abuse of the reporting function. Nobody wants to be portrayed as a fraud for no reason and waste time pointlessly

I have more of a question than a review. I just start posting on foap and I received a message from a user or buyer not sure how to identify which is which, but the user wanted me to message them on another platform like Snapchat so I did and we spoke briefly and he stated that he is willing to pay me 2,500 for some photos of landscapes and Lakes and that I would send them to him on Snapchat and that they would vote on them and then pay me. Has anyone else experienced this and is it legit?

These days , it feels like slavery for contributors. I've been waiting for my $57 payment from Foap since June 2023, and when I finally received it, it wasn't in dollars. They made the 'genius' move of transferring it in Euros, so in reality, I received $51.6. I'm disappointed in your policy and the way this was handled.

Recommend Foap for working with Video and Photo UGC creators. We are a fashion e-commerce brand, selling in US, Europe and Australia. With Foap we gathered a community of UGC creators who constantly produce content for us. Great team, great product!

Careful signing up with Foap. You have to pay to join the contests (which have cash prizes). Numerous reports of users with thousands of followers selling 2 photos. They only pay $5 per photo....lol.

I uploaded numerous photos which I took and own, and they closed my account without telling me. Turns out they claim someone reported my photos, Foap told me (and I quote) - "You stole those photos, don't upload stolen photos here". Most bizarre experience I have had with a stock agency (I sell professionally on numerous other sites).

The site smells of scam, and they are in Poland, so buyer beware.

Set up my account and put PayPal details in but it kept saying the email wasn't the correct one for the account. NO because emails for paypal can be different. Still I created a new account with matching emails - it still said the PayPal details didn't match. I entered my PayPal (password) several times, so I have now immediately changed as it seemed all they wanted was this information and no intention of sending any money. :-(
