I ordered sympathy flowers for a friend who was bereaved. The flowers were due to arrive at her family home the day before the funeral. A full week later I received a nonchalant email saying the flowe... Zobacz więcej

rubbish
I am a mischievous type of chap so when Valentine’s day comes along in a period of austerity, I thought I would tease the wife by introducing her to the new world economic order, so I printed off a Tesco's value valentine card. The in-applicability of such a gift was to be of no issue as I had secretly bought a large special valentine’s bouquet (valued at £50) from Flowers direct to be delivered to the school where she works.
So when she open the poor quality and tacky Valentines card with a sad and (although reasonable well hidden) cross expression on her face, I discreetly chuckled to myself knowing she would come home with a large and impressive bouquet, and she would realise I was a humorous romantic not a tight arse git, or so I thought.
Despite the fact that my wife worked at the school and that is where they were to be delivered, the delivery stipulated that on Valentine’s day if could be delivered anytime between 9 and 6. I asked for delivery to be arranged before 4pm as, for obvious reasons a primary school tends to close at this time.
So along came home time, and I was in the house by the time the wife got home, looking forward to being hailed as a romantic joker and the best husband in the world, I was met by a partner who still regarded me as something betwixt Scrooge and Rigby (of rising damp fame). Just to make the point she sadly (with the expression of a lost puppy) told me of the lovely flowers that turned up at work for the other staff, even from Morrison’s and the co-op). The flowers hadn’t turned up...
I told he of what I had planned, I showed her the order form, we rang the school and no flowers. The dogs kennel was uncomfortable that night.
All weekend, as Valentines day was conveniently on a Friday, oh did I endure descriptions of how nice the value bouquet from the co-op would look on our mantelpiece and other such comments all Saturday and Sunday.
Then came Monday, alas I thought the flowers will turn up, and she will see the impressive array of blooms that were advertised on the website!
I received a text from the Wife on Monday to say the Flowers had turned up on Friday at a school at 5.50, there was a pathetic little bunch of 4 roses and a few lilies’ withering at school. Rather than the impressive bouquet that was described on the website. I have contacted flowers direct who state that the flowers were delivered by 6pm as per contract and we should wait until some of the other flowers open. We let our florist see this bouquet and she explained that half of the flowers had gone over, one or two were dead and the bouquet are not as good as the one Morrison’s were selling for a tenner. I had to agree. Flowers direct delivered a poor bouquet, far too late and ruined a Valentines day for my wife, there e-mail response quite clearly shows they don’t give a damn. The text below is their response to a lengthy letter complaining about the poor service and product they offered
“I have tracked your order for you and found that it was delivered on the 14th February at 17:38. It was signed for by an "XXXXX". “It is advised during the ordering process that deliveries can be delivered anytime between 9am and 6pm. As the delivery arrived between the specified times we are unable to investigate this further. Please accept our apology for any inconvenience this caused.”
This completed the hat-trick of uselessness. The worst bouquet, the worst service and the least sincere apology I have ever got off a company. I will never order from these feeble flourists again.
Very bad service *(have received the flowers nearly death, with 3 days delay!!) however ugly!!! expensive!! arrangements
Very bad service *(have received the flowers nearly death, with 3 days delay!!) however very ugly!!! , expensive!! arrangements
Very poor service, just as bad as Interflora
I bought 2 vouchers from Mighty Deals for discounted bouquets of flowers (from Flowers Direct). The vouchers arrived promptly but have proved to be unusable as they are only valid for a small range of bouquets that always seem to ne unavailable when I try and buy. Flowers Direct are unhelpful. I have only just realised that they were part of Interflora. Had I known, I would have been prepared for poor service because that is what They generally offer. I have tried to contact Mighty Deals to get a refund but they don't reply and don't answer the phone. It is interesting that Mighty Deals was set up by MoneySavingExpert. That started as a great idea for the benefit of consumers but is now just another money making enterprise. Avoid Mighty Deals. Avoid Flowers Direct and avoid MoneySavingExpert.
No flowers arrived for my 81 year old mother on her birthday :-(
Ordered flowers in plenty time. Payment taken from my bank (amazing THAT system always seems to work just fine....). No confirmation e mail sent to me, and, yes you have guessed it, no flowers received by my Mum. I am really upset about this and will not use Flowers Direct (Interflora) again. (I did get my money back but that's not the point!)
Rubbish
Ordered flowers for my wife`s birthday 5 days before hand should have been delivered to her today at work guess what no flowers not a happy wife!!!! very poor service
Blooming Fantastic
Found out on the day that it was a 70th birthday of a friends mum who lives quite away from me. Went onto Topcashbacks site and found flowers direct on there got 10% off and 14 % back on the flowers.. Within 15 mins of ordering I got a call from a very nice chap at Flowers Direct to inform me that the colour of flower I had chosen was not available but florist did have them in other colours. He assured me that a beautiful bouquet would be delivered. 1 hour later I got a call from my friends Mum to thank me so very much for the Beautiful flowers she had received.
All this happened within in 2 hours and on a Saturday. I will most definitely use FLOWERS DIRECT from now on and would recommend them 100% to all my family and friends.. Well done Flowers Direct and thank you so very much... .
Not worth it!
Used a voucher code from mighty deals "£40 worth of flowers for £15"
I am just glad that i hadn't actually spent £40 on them, Didn't expect them to be delivered in a cardboard box they were also disappointingly small and just less that 48 hours, the roses and gerbera's are wilting and the lilies don't look like they're even going to open! Wish i'd gone to morrisons, spent the £15 plus delivery on the beautiful bunches they have!
Flowers lovely (but small), and non-existent customer service
I ordered Mothers Day flowers as a surprise for my mum to be delivered on Saturday, the day before Mothers Day as I knew she would be in the house to get them. The flowers never turned up and I ended up having to explain and apologise to my mum about her ruined surprise. I emailed flowersdirect.co.uk several days ago and I am still waiting on a reply which will probably never come. I phoned them numerous times however kept being told by an automated voice to call back later. The flowers appeared on the Sunday having been left on doorstep with no note as to why they were a day late. Flowers were lovely however for the amount paid, not good value or worth it. I'll never use flowersdirect again.
Delivered the day after Valentines after telling me that the will refund me when they didnt arrive
I ordered a bunch of flowers from this company on 11th February, using a Groupon voucher. They were a valentine's day present. They should have been delivered ON valentine's day. However, it is now after 10pm, and they are yet to appear. This just isn't good enough.
They shouldn't be offering a service They can't provide. I have called and tried over 20 times to get your website to work with the Groupon Code. It took three days to order them due to the fact your groupon codes were invalid. I'm not at all happy with the neglectful service I have received.
Delivered the day after even though they offered a refund. They did refund the delivery cost.
anneheg @btinternet.com
Sent flowers to old address on my account and refused to refund Terrible company
VERY POOR
Failed to deliver at all and yet no sign of refund as yet and had to make a claim via paypal
Not replys to emails to them very poor and would never use again.
Losing out on around 120 orders per month for our hotels after this trouble.Would advise anyone to steer well clear in my honest opinion
Failed delivery
I ordered a pink rose pot plant for delivery on Christmas Eve to my Aunt on the 21st November. I was advised on the 23rd December that the post code in the delivery address was incorrect by customer service at Flowers Direct. Whilst on the phone, the customer service adviser, Laura entered the address herself onto a website herself and was able to correct the error. I was told that the deliver company would be notified.
I then received a call later the same day to say that the delivery had been 'disposed of' because the address details were incorrect. The house number and name clearly show up on any google or sat nav search without the postcode entry. My aunt has lived at this address for 8+years.
The gift was for my Aunt's for her birthday which sadly for her falls on Christmas eve. We were really disappointed that she didn't receive this surprise as planned. I was promised a call back to let me know what 'disposed of' meant and if it could still be delivered on the requested date - but am still waiting. I had regularly used the service before, I shan't be using them again. Better to call a florist in the town directly than go through a third party that is able to manage the service. I am currently chasing a refund.
First class
I've used Flowers Direct on several occassions to deliver flowers in various parts of the country and the recipients have always been delighted. Always gone for flowers delivered by local florists (not flowers by post) and usually try to chose an option which leaves the florest discretion to make the final choice - they will know what they have in stock and what is best at that time of year. I read here that others have been disappointed or been let down, but that is certainly not my experience.
Never delivered flowers, offered no explanation. Took no accountability.
Ordered valentine's day flowers, but never delivered it. Called to ask why, and they said it was delayed, but couldn't offer any explanations. Says that the delivery part was outsourced to a local service so they had no visibility to when the flowers will be delivered. Keep in mind, this is a flower delivery business. Contacted them multiple times to even get a refund.
