Good booking experience BUT...

I am very pleased with the booking experience, I would have given a 5-star if not for the very persistent effort from FlipKey to ask me to fill out a survey. On a daily basis, I am getting harassment emails from FlipKey to try to ask me to fill out a survey when I don't feel like doing so. Hopefully this harassment will stop now that this survey is on record. Please, if customers don't feel like filling out a survey, don't force them to.

The Damage deposit was confusing..

The Damage deposit was confusing... Your site gives the impression you will NOT be charged nor have funds on hold unless the owners find damage. The total cost does NOT include the damage deposit. The one we went with said the $60 deposit is charged even though site says otherwise... a 2nd house we wanted had a $500 deposit, We were not willing to pay or have on hold $500, contacted owners and they didn't even know how it worked.

We didn't collect the damage deposit upfront but rather saved your payment details in the event that the owner were to raise a successful claim. This information was provided to you on the payment page prior to submitting your payment and also can be found within your Manage my booking.

As you can see in your rate summary, it states: "Your payment method won't be charged or authorized (for a hold on funds) unless the owner makes a valid claim within 10 days of your checkout." So Far, So Good

So far, so good. While our vacation in Maui doesn't begin for a few more weeks, the booking process was very quick and efficient. Also, questions were answered in a timely matter.

I like the site. I have made a first reservation but not stayed at it yet...biggest issue is NOT having an app.

I payed second deposit and I did not get the keys as you promise to send the 24 hours after the depots is made. Even no reply to my emails!!!!!!

First of all, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, Tripadvisor strives to create an easy and positive booking experience for all our customers.
I've checked your previous message on the forum and couldn't find where it mentioned sent the keys after 24 hours from paying the balance.
I do believe there is some confusion about our processes, allow me to clarify:
The owners set all their info about check-in/out, contact details and property address and our platform provide that info when you pay for the full balance.

Please check with the owners on how will you get the keys of the property, you will get their details on the "manage my booking" section. Also, I could not find your emails on our system with the information provided, but no worries as you alternatively can always give us a call to our 24 hours service line at +442037015369 or +1-877-354-7539 and our agents will be more than happy to assist you contact with the owner to get the keys information.

We had a great time at the 3bedroom…

We had a great time at the 3bedroom quiet Little River home. It is perfect if you want a quiet place to stay that is close to North Myrtle Beach. The private hot tub is a huge selling point. No hassle check in. Highly recommend.

HORRIBLE

Bad,we rented a condo in florida and we drove all the way as soon as we got there we called the company because they didn’t tell us the address and they said that the previous residents decided to stay.We were stressed becouse they lied to us and said that they send us a email saying that they told us the old residents decided to stay WHO DOES THAT ? We soon had to rent a hilton hotel with no help they already took the money from my bank 😭 but returned it soon afterword.They were very rude about it and i TOTALLY DONT RECOMEND IT.

I started with Airbnb which by all accounts is a good site to find rentals. My experience in this instance was that site could not show me any rentals that were open for the dates I needed this was my first time trying FlipKey and I immediately was provided numerous rentals in my price range. So I could not be more pleased with my experience with FlipKey.
