Found a car in this Nissan garage in Wincanton.
Reserved it to buy following weekend. The garage had the whole week to clean the car and did not do it.
Johnathan Hardie was a point of contact for me. Promised to give the car a nice clean inside and couldn’t deliver. The excuse was - the cleaning services didn’t work on Saturday. But the car was with you for the whole week! I only asked to clean it inside.
Dishonesty is never appreciated.
When got home and inspected the car, I noticed that to clean the roof of the car (whoever cleaned it in the garage) they stepped on the front seats in dirty boots and left huge dusty footprints! Disgusted with the attitude.
Would never recommend this garage.
I only bought the car because of the car’s qualities, but was very reluctant to buy from Chalke.

Contacted them regarding a parts order and spoke with Neil, Head of Parts. Neil was incredibly knowledgeable and handled my order with remarkable professionalism and respect. All the parts I received were accurate, and upon collection, Neil went above and beyond by assisting me in loading them into my vehicle.

Customer service was flipping awesome. Salesman Dave was thoughtful, I felt like he actually cared that I bought the right car after listening to my needs. I then bumped into him in the local shop a couple of weeks after purchase and he knew me by name, asked after the car etc. Very impressed! I had a couple of very minor issues after sale and the team were super helpful and resolved all issues like they needed a kidney. Would highly recommend.

Steve was fantastic from the day he first viewed the damage to our car to the day I was able to collect it fully repaired.He always kept me informed of any delivery developments for the parts, and delivered the finished article on the time and day promised.We couldn't fault anything.

Reccommeded by family to visit their website although I live a fair way from Yeovil. From first meeting a confidence in the company was established. Ben Fry answered and explained all queries raised. Delivery date was arranged and handover faultless. My Qashqai Tekna+ has been a joy to drive.

I ordered my Fiat 600 in December 2024, I wanted to get rid of my electric car, absolutely useless for long distance and the Fiat arrived in late April. Reluctantly they organised my personal plate, as I have always left that to the mobility member of staff I am dealing with, over the last 21 years, with whatever make of car I'm getting.
Middle piece for storage area, in the middle of front missing, told the piece of plastic is a chargeable extra, took it up with Fiat HQ, they don't seem to know. Was told there was fuel in the car, I drove home and then to the hospital, today, broken down, not sure the reason. If it is, then that means, there is only enough petrol for 16 miles, bloody ridiculous, you would expect £5, at least. Now I await the RAC Breakdown to confirm. Never again will I use this garage, if they don't put any fuel in the car. My dial shows fuel, but clearly it hasn't. Not good for the car, leaving it so low.

Disappointing. Customer service provided on the phone and in the Yeovil showroom was initially good. Shown around some Kia Ceeds as requested.

However, I expressed interest in one that I had seen on their website. I was told that unfortunately that particular car was currently with a staff member that is off sick and they might be able to get it back in a couple of weeks.
Discussions of driving another Ceed were had (although the other options available on site were not quite what I was after - different spec, or out of price range), no offer to try one (I had my driving licence and national insurance number ready as requested on the phone) was forthcoming.
It was left that I would be notified when the Ceed of interest was back at the showroom or any new Ceeds were received at site.

2 weeks on, I’ve received no contact. I’m aware new cars are now on site. And although highly aware that I could have made contact, I feel the promises made by FJ Chalke to make contact as disingenuous. My understanding is that if somebody was interested in a car, you do what you can to provide them with the opportunity to buy it, not keep it out of reach?!! Experience received by another dealer further afield has unfortunately blown the experience from FJ Chalke out of the water.

We have bought several cars from F J Chalke and always had good service and a friendly smile whenever we go to the showrooms. All the staff we've spoken to over the phone seem very knowledgeable .

Felt that iI was important to them, made welcome as soon as I arrived, I went for a service and mot, could not fault the attention I have recieved, well done!!

Bought a Kia Ceed 2016 from Yeovil FJ Chalke back in 2023, for just under £10,000. 9 months later we moved as the landlord wanted to sell. Where we moved too is more in the country and rougher roads, so I went to FJ Chalke in Mere thinking I was being treated fairly before.
Ian from the Mere branch pressured me into the sale saying "it is this price and I can sell it tomorrow if need be". Stupidly I bought it out of necessity and needed a higher vehicle asap. The 9 month older Kia with only 6000 more miles was now valued at just over £5000. It was then that Ian told me I had payed way over from the other FJ Chalke branch, and Charlie his name was. I can't believe that this company is still trading. I will not use them ever again, and I'd advise all others to avoid. All in all I was conned out of thousands of pounds due to needing a higher vehicle for work, due to flooding and rougher roads as the council never does it's job. As FJ Chalke have contacted me to prove I am a real customer, I will include that the practices in filling up cracks in plastic, and lacquer with wax is horrendous, after having the car professionally washed. And seeing what really lies beneath.
Date on paperwork is 13/12/2023. My review maybe late, but as I have now sent them a invoice number they can see it's a real review.
You have literally copied and pasted your reply across my reviews on her and Google maps. Funny how your 100's of 5 stars aren't reflected in here though. I should also say thank you for acknowledging that I am a legitimate customer and that you don't deny the £4500 depreciation in a car bought brand new, serviced and re sold by you to me when I came to exchange it. It speaks volumes on how little you care. Past reviews don't reflect recent behaviours. It is also well known of companies to seek out reviews and offer things in return for favourable reviews.

My recent experience at Vale Motors was second to none! I have been looking for a second hand Jeep for a while and one turned up at the garage in Wincanton.
Great team of people, pleasant and helpful, love the new car. Would definitely recommend!
