Fingerhut is great IF you're trying to rebuild your credit... UNTIL that point when THEY (not you) absolutely destroy your credit... Here's what happened to me.

I've had a FH account for a few years. Opened it, kept payments up, paid the card off, made another charge, rinse, wash, repeat... This is how you play with these companies and get credit built.

The interest rates are high, the prices are massive (I can get the same product way cheaper on Amazon), the EVERYTHING is just bad... However, when you've got poor credit, and want to rebuild, THIS is what you're stuck with.

UNFORTUNATELY, and with very little notification, Fingerhut decided they were going to change their banks. All accounts are going to be closed, and then re-opened through another bank.

Those watching their credit scores know that this is BAD. Very bad! Your average credit age goes down, you get another inquiry on your account, and likely a lower credit limit. As well, the credit history with that company is just shot.

This is, by far, the most disrespectful company I've ever seen.

THIS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY!
I promise they are tricksters.
It started out really great, I supported it because when i had no credit it helped me build my credit in NO time..
However, 2-3 years later, it’s like you become disposable to them. Like they feel as though you’ve been used and you’re no longer worth trying to impress. They start giving temporary credit limit increases, and if you decide you don’t wanna use it, it’ll DROP your credit 30pts OR MORE, if you decide you do wanna use it, it’ll DROP your credit 20pts OR MORE. It’s a catch-22, and it’s a revolving door to keep you down, and never get your score pass or up to 750 AT LEAST!
They are AWFUL! I haaatteee them!
They take forever to reflect your payments on your account, and take forever to report to credit bureaus! It’s a whole MESS!
It sucks that this helped build my credit IN THE BEGINNING only for me to hate it so much TODAY!
I know if i was to “close” my account that just might drop my credit score a large number as well.

Do not open a line of credit with this company! I opened a line of credit with this company and always made payments on time. I decided that I no longer need them, so I decided to pay off the rest of my balance and close the account. I checked my account and it was still open so I called customer service to see the status of my account. The representative let me know that my account is only closed on my end and that it's open on their end. I asked why and that I wanted to fully close it. She told me that the accounts stay open on their end for three to five years. This is unacceptable. I will no longer be giving money to Fingerhut. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!

since they had a security breach, my info was leaked and an attempt was made at getting into my account. I don't use fingerhut so isimply asked for the customer service agent to remove my login from the website. After 20 mins and the agent not knowing what i was asking, i still dont know if my account is active or not. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

It started out as a five star but I'm struggling to give even a ONE. Be aware!! If you are using this to build your credit.. After you pay off the first thing you finance they close that account to open one with a higher limit. Closing a credit account can and will make your credit you worked so hard for dip. Be prepared to lose on the length of time accounts have been open front. I swear. I paid twice what I ordered was worth thinking this would help. It did.. This account brought me up by itself about 20 maybe 25 points. Then they closed the first without telling me to give me a higher limit account a NEW BLOODY ACCOUNT causing my increase in credit score to go down by half of my gain using them. I'm not angry though. Fingertip appeared to. Be an overpriced racket though anyway

I cancelled my order before it was sent out and they still sent it. Now there making me pay for shipping it back.

I am writing this review to let everyone know, this company is a scam. Do not buy any of these products. These are nothing but junk items. I will make it my life mission, for people to know , do not order any items from this company. It doesn't deserve 1 star. I will keep this on everyone's mind every day . Until this company will be shut down. I am hiring Attorney against this Sorry Company.

Placed a $800 order it gets divided into 3 deliveries first delivery was set for today Jan 6th 2022 label created Jan 4th delivery date the 6th. Ups dose not have the package to deliver. Vendor created a label to secure the sale and not even have an item to ship. Fungerhut says it was shipped on Jan 5th but ups says no they don't have it and I believe ups more than I do fingerhut. I can't cancel because vendor created label fingerhut will do not a dam thing for you except apologize
So all 3 deliveries are going to be refused. We don't play theses kind of games with any place of business

I wouldn't even give a star I ordered got a receipt confirming was supposed to be here before Christmas they canceled my order didn't call me or email me or nothing I called now the barbie house I ordered is not in stock so now I have nothing for my girls i was planning surprising them it was supposed to be here by Dec 24

Very disappointed.....I purchased a laptop

We ordered a coin set that was labeled 80 dollar value. We had them apprised and found out they were fake and not worth the money. So we decided not to deal with them anymore. We were angry about it. It hard to trust them

I would not order or take a credit line out with this company they like to send you other people's orders then after you send it back they try to resend it to you it takes more than five times of arguing with them for them to fix a mistake that still hasn't even been fixed and they expect me to pay for things I didn't receive

Although some items are a little more expensive than the stores , they do stand behind what you purchase. It's nice to have the option of the monthly payment.

A bit expensive but always shop in bulk and most of the time you can get free shipping. They let you make monthly payments and they help build your credit. I say their a very good company.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE BEEN WITH FOR 8 YEARS and I DIDN'T RECEIVE AN ORDER THEY WOULD NOT REFUND ME UPS LOST MY PACKAGE THAT is NOT MY PROBLEM. EVERYTHING is OVER PRICED I JUST NEVER WANTED to CLOSE it OUT BECAUSE I THOUGHT it would LOWER MY SCORE ....DON'T SIGN up FIND A DIFFERENT SITE!

This is my FIRST and LAST purchase from Fingerhut.
I bought a large toy item and need to return it (never opened). I called customer service and the customer is responsible for return shipping. My issue is "oversized items may be charged a return shipping fee of up $50 upon inspection of the return." I can pay for shipping without using their label but am still at the discretion of their assessment of the product condition which they will deduct from my refund.

I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND ADVISE OTHERS TO BE AWARE OF THEIR RETURN POLICY.

I don't know how this company stays in business.

I ordered something on 10/14 and have already received a payment due. No problem, I paid it; however, I've yet to receive the item in question. With what's going on in the world I assumed it's because of shipping issues. The tracking number associated with my purchase doesn't even exist for UPS to track. Meaning there is no package, it's been delivered to the wrong place, or something else entirely. I contacted fingerhut via emails hoping for some clarity in regards to when I could expect some updates. They asked for my order number and once I provided it, they cut off the inquiry and gave me a computer generated response that if I had any further questions to contact support in the future.

Fingerhut is a complete scam, fraudulent, and it's insane they can get away with this.

If I could give them 0 stars I would!! I have never missed a payment and every time I’m done paying an item off customer service states I’ve missed a payment, but can’t tell me when. Horrible customer service just a outright scam the have ruined my credit score for a second time!! Stay away!!!!
