Charged for free mov ie.

I received a free movie rental from T-Mobile through Fandango for the T-Mobile Tuesdays. I entered the information to redeem it and Fandango confirmed the code was good and added a free rental to my account that I already had through Fandango but I only had 7 days to rent. I chose a movie and used the free rental but then Fandango charged me $10.73 for the rental that should have been free. It billed my Paypal with is old and Paypal then billed an older bank account I no longer use although it is still open. the bank refused the bill and put me at -25.00 over draft, then they tried it again 2 days later and I got another over draft. So for a "Free" movie, I now have a $50 overdraft fee and a -10.73 balance to paypal, so I am out $60.73 for a movie. I will never use Fandango again.

I really rate it ZERO!!!! They charged me for tickets the day before movie started and I called and they refused to do anything, saying I did not show up!!! How could I show up if the movie did not start showing until the next day. I bought tickets at the movie theater and it cost me $9 less. Do not use Fandango!!!!

Buyer Beware: You may not get what you pay for

I purchased the Beyond Infinity Bundle for Toy Story 5 on June 19th, 2026: a package that included a physical print and a redemption code for a movie ticket, promised to arrive shortly after ordering.

The print arrived without issue. The ticket code did not.

What followed was nearly two weeks of bureaucratic runaround that no paying customer should ever have to endure. I opened a support ticket with the FanStore, which took almost a week to reply. I called the customer service line, was asked to provide proof of purchase, and was told the matter would be escalated within 3-5 business days (with a promised redemption code). Those days elapsed in silence. When I finally received a response, I was told to contact the FanStore, the very department I had already contacted, and which had not replied.
Meanwhile, the customer service line declared my order delivered, apparently confusing the physical print for the missing ticket code and considering the matter closed.

I was passed between departments, met with apologies that carried no action, and offered no recourse whatsoever: no discount, no replacement, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused.

It was only after I explicitly threatened a chargeback and a BBB complaint that I received any meaningful reply. The code eventually arrived but only after I had missed the original viewing I had planned around this purchase.

To add insult to injury: when Fandango sends you a customer satisfaction survey, clicking it takes you directly to their website landing page. There is nowhere to leave feedback. The loop is closed before it begins. One can only imagine how many disheartened customers have been silenced by this

Fandango used to be a convenient service. I recall their ads where they said that booking a ticket with them was easier than buying at the box office in the 90s and 2000s. In 2026, what I encountered was a company whose departments do not communicate, whose support staff cannot resolve issues they are contacted about, and whose customer satisfaction mechanisms are, at best, decorative.

This will be my final purchase with Fandango. Buyer beware. A shame there isn't an option to award zero stars, because Fandango deserves none.

I didn't think the old school cable…

I didn't think the old school cable companies could be out done when it came to bad customer service. I was wrong. Fandango has charged my account for movies I did not rent, been inflexible when they've made mistakes, and been all around just BAD at customer service. I will NEVER use them again and will make sure to warn everyone I know to stay away from using them every chance I get..........and I'm usually laid back and never write reviews........they just pushed me that far.

I bought tickets online for scary movie 6and didn't receive my confirmation number or my tickets the cashier told me to call back in two days for my refund so I called back they took my info and took them 2 days for them to find my transaction and told me I was not able to get refund that I should of called them right away for my refund.

Terrible customer service I have all the information on an older gift card including the number the pin number etc etc but I don't have the physical card and they won't send me a new one or refund me there's no way that the credit for $15 could be used twice by two different people if they send it to me

I bought tickets and was charged but did not get a confirmation. I thought that I could use my credit card to collect tickets at the theater, but that did not work when we showed up for the movie so I had to buy additional tickets. The theater cashier told me that they had nothing but complaints about Fandango. Fandango will not refund because I did not request a refund before the movie. I didn’t know I couldn’t get in until it was time for the movie!

Fandango’s website processed my tickets…

Fandango’s website processed my tickets for the wrong date, and customer service treated it like a standard missed refund deadline instead of addressing the actual problem.

On June 18, 2026, my wife and I used Fandango to buy four tickets for the next day, June 19, to take our two granddaughters to see Toy Story 5. We both remember selecting June 19. During the purchase process, we went back and forth between showtimes and auditoriums at the theater to find seats that would work for all four of us.

At some point, Fandango’s site appears to have reverted the ticket date to June 18. The first sign that something was wrong was later that day, when I received an email asking how we had enjoyed the movie, even though we had intended to go the next day.

I contacted customer service right away and explained what happened. I was told the issue would be escalated. Instead, I later received a response saying the refund deadline had passed and pointing me to their refund policy.

That completely misses the point. This was not a simple case of changing my mind or missing a refund window. I selected tickets for June 19, and the website processed tickets for June 18 during the checkout process.

I am very disappointed with both the website experience and the customer service response. I am requesting a refund, but more importantly, Fandango should take checkout/date errors seriously instead of hiding behind a standard refund policy.

I have been a Fandango customer for…

I have been a Fandango customer for years. I have bought plenty of tickets with Fandango and purchased dozens of movies on my Fandango at Home account. Yesterday, I purchased a movie for $5.00. I have the purchase comfimation email. My purchase was cancelled AFTER I paid the total and I recieved a purchase cancellation notice. NOW, the movie is $19.99 to purchase. I stayed on hold with the Fandango at Home Customer Support line and they were entirely unwilling to resolve the issue. So in other words I bought a movie that they had listed for $5, I paid for it, it got cancelled. Now the movie is $20 and they have no interest in resolving the issue. Been a customer for years, I won't be much longer.

Do not recommend using!

Do not recommend using. On 6/13 I purchased tickets for my niece and her friends so I could send them to her phone for the 4:25p showing. I dropped them off at the show and they called a couple minutes later because after entering the attendant printed and scanned their tickets, then asked for ID and denied entry because they were under 18. I returned thinking they just need approval for entry, as we were unaware of the policy of R movies requiring an adult view the movie with them. I was told I could receive a refund through fandango as the tickets were purchased there. I went to my car to do the refund on app but was unable because the attendant had already scanned the printed ticket as if they had entered. I submitted an online claim, submitted at 4:27p from my car in the parking lot, which as of today fandango is denying because it was not submitted prior to showtime. Two minutes. They weren’t able to see the show and they are refusing to refund my $24. Just ridiculous. Will never utilize again this service again after this experience.

Big Runaround. Not worth it.

Needed to get a ticket that I was charged for, but got lost. Help page recommended I send an email. No response. No phone number was given, so I got it from Google. I was on the phone for 30 minutes trying to get my ticket. CS rep was hard to understand, and she asked many questions. Big runaround. It should not be this complicated to buy movie tickets! Never again!

Lots of Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision…

Lots of Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision content but absolutely no support for projectors. You can buy a $5,000 projector with Google TV on it, and you'll get only SD quality from the pathetic Fandango At Home app.

I've written support numerous times. This was their latest answer to my question about why the company won't support projector apps. Projector sales are soaring!

Ill Working Platform

It's ridiculous to have to go on your phone to purchase a show or movie & then return to the TV app to watch the purchased item, only then to discover that once you do so, the purchased program does not play on the TV, leaving you to have to "mirror" or "caste" onto your TV from your phone, which puts the a time delay between the audio & video, making it look like you're watching some Asian overdubbed Godzillas flick. I deleted the app from my TV & phone.

I purchased tickets through Fandango…

I purchased tickets through Fandango for a 3:00 PM Sunday showing of Obsession at Santa Cruz Cinema. My bank account was charged immediately, but Fandango completely failed to send a confirmation email or digital tickets.
Because of their system glitch, I had to spend 45 minutes stranded outside the theater dealing with the headache. Luckily, the local theater staff was incredibly nice and went out of their way to dig through their internal payment history to finally let me in.
Fandango’s platform took my money but completely failed to deliver the product. Extremely disappointing service make sure you double-check your inbox before heading to the theater, or better yet, just buy your tickets directly from the theater instead.

This company is scum

This company is scum - NEVER BUY FROM THEM! I navigated to my local theatre page and clicked the movie I wanted to watch. I purchased tickets and then showed up to the theatre. They then told me the tickets were for another theatre, one that was over an hour away from me. Their website is designed to intentionally obfuscate and make it look like there are times available for the selected theatre you picked and the selected movie you picked when in reality it is showing tickets for a multitude of relatively nearby theatres. It was not at all clear to me when I bought the tickets that I was buying them for a theatre over an hour away. When I reached out for a refund and explained, they said no. Absolutely despicable and shouldn't be legally allowed to operate in this manner.
