I am writing this to voice out the frustration I got from the recent FIE BF Blade that I ordered. Not only the order was late for 11 days. Moreover, I have just found out the epee blade does not work, I have let two of the armourers to take a look.

However, the poor quality of the glue job on the epee blade has completely covered the installation making it impossible to check, as the picture attached below. I am expecting for Excalibur to send me another FIE BF blade, I am willing to send this one back to take a look. However as a fencer from the Lancaster University Fencing Club and Excalibur as our sponsor. I have expected better quality from Excalibur. However, this is certainly disappointing

As regarding to my last email, here is a close up of the wiring of the blade as you can see that the wires are twisted at the top end of the blade, my guess is that when the people assembling the wire, the wire wasn't put in properly and when they tighten the barrel, the wire got caught causing a snap in the barrel or a along the blade. Clearly I did not break it while assembling the epee or during transport.

Again, I am happy to send it back to Excalibur if you guys want to take a look, but also I am expected to be compensated for this inconvenience. I hope you understand my frustration

Very good quality kit delivered quickly

Good delivery, the foil guard fit well. The allen key i bought didnt fit my foil hex nut that well, however it is quite old, so its not that surprising.

Wire has already come loose from the blade, so will require a rewire.

My son has recently taken up fencing and was at the point he needed to purchase his own kit, not knowing where to start in terms of sizing and specific gear we popped in to see James, and safe to say he sorted everything for us, his knowledge was impressive and he was really patient and helpful. All the gear was great quality and the fit was perfect, my son now feels like part of his local fencing team, even if he has just got 'all the gear' and some idea.

There was no information about border fees that accounted for 52€ on an overall expense of 140€! Really not fair not to inform of this huge extra-cost for Italy delivery. I will not buy on this site anymore.

Quick and affordable fencing equipment (the guard and socket I bought were much cheaper than the big brands, shipping also cheaper). Easy to use website. Got what I needed.

TERRIBLE - could not even work out own offer they emailed. When price was agreed and order paid I received part of the order within a week and was not told of delay to rest of order. I had to do all the chasing and after 6 weeks items arrived too late for kids competitions.
I should have bought from PBT instead as they have quicker delivery, similar prices, better quality, far better stock control and customer care

This was my first time ordering from Excalibur after I was recommended them by a friend. I’m new(ish) to fencing and getting started on kit can be incredibly costly, but with Excalibur you get quality without a huge price tag! I am so thrilled with my new weapon, body wire and fun top. Safe to say I’ll be ordering more from them, the website is easy to navigate and the delivery was very fast. I cannot recommend them enough!

New Fencing Jacket delivered within days despite being out-of-stock when I placed the order. Haven't fenced in it yet, but looks to be well put together.
