the personal trainers and staff are supportive and talkative. the gym is clean, bright and quite spacious.

A gem of a gym
I really like how unpretentious this gym is, as are its users
I really like the range of classes and their duration - I can go full out in a 30-45 minute class rather than having to pace myself for a 60 minute class.
There’s a good range of equipment and usually it’s not too busy to use it

When I first joined the gym
When I first joined the gym, there was a real age range and it was a friendly place to go. However, it can get really packed in the evenings, with young people on their phones, swearing really badly and it can be very intimidating. Lots of boys are training without their trainers on (bleurgh), lockers are full, with no locks, so you think there are lots of free ones, when actually they are full. Often really hard to find a free one. Alternatively, lots of people putting their belongings in the gym.
I joined the gym when it first opened and was able to participate in a lot of classes but this was changed and I can only join in with the classes I want if I pay more per month. Seems like blackmail to me.
I only still go to the gym as I have a fabulous trainer. If he were to leave, I would be following him.
Think about your older clients! We are the ones with the money!

Best gym in Winchester
Love this gym! Great staff, clean, tidy and always well looked after equipment. Huge array of training gear so you can never get bored.
However, I feel that way too many people have signed up meaning it’s over crowded a lot of the time! Also, another water tap in the cardio area would be amazing!

Can Ask For No More!!
It is a good gym, and there is little more I could ask for. It is in a very central and convenient location, with friendly and helpful staff.
However, it can get quite crowded and getting on to equipment can then be difficult. The water often breaks and so it is essential to take your own. But the most annoying thing about the gym is that I like to use the space in the yard for own-weight exercises but get thrown out when there is a class, as these take priority.

Amazing gym
Amazing gym. Been at the Winchester Énergie since opening so got a cheap subscription with it, have been there since.
Staff are very kind and helpful and I know a lot of people there.

Good gym
Good gym. Far too busy a with too many members. As someone who joined when the gym opened, numbers have steadily increased and it is now at a point where you cannot get on anything without waiting. You cannot keep taking memberships and not putting more equipment or limitations in place.

Showers not the best.
The gym is good and a good selection of weights and machines, but the washing facilities are not up to standard, the water pressure is very low and you struggle to rinse off. If someone else is having a shower then it is only a trickle.
