Our policy increased by 17% year on…
Our policy increased by 17% year on year for the same cover. On attempting to find alternative specialist place of worship cover we discovered that Benefact Group has been quietly buying other insurers and brokers (Ansvar, Lansdown) who won’t quote against another Benefact group company. They now are the market; they know this and are increasing their premiums to their clients accordingly, who are now captive. With two churches and a congregation of 15 all of whom are over 70 they will be the readon will finally give up as Churchwarden - I can’t afford to keep personally subsidising this any longer.

Excellent customer service when I had to make a claim
I had to make a claim this year and it was handled very well indeed. Staff were helpful and patient, as the work required quotes from several different tradesmen, but there was no complicated requirements - they made it as simple as possible for me. And there was no question at all of not covering us, so we were very pleased indeed. Excellent customer service.
