Unacceptable delivery experience with Dell laptop
Ordered a laptop from Dell. The tracker for DP World didn't update and said that the laptop hadn't left the warehouse. I knew I wouldn't be there for the outer extreme of the delivery date. The days passed and it claimed the laptop still wasn't at the warehouse and wasn't in their system.
Eventually, they sent an email saying no details of the delivery (that I had no details about) could now be changed and it was going to be delivered, h**l or high water, on a day I couldn't receive the parcel. I called Dell who put a ticket out to try to hold the parcel until it was ready to receive. DP World ignored this and passed it onto DHL who are still going to try to deliver it on the same date. The only options are to change the delivery date within a window of 1-2 days, deliver to a local newsagent, or to deliver to a neighbour - but I can't specify *which* neighbour.
Thus, again, no way to properly stop an expensive laptop being dropped at a corner shop or left with any person on my street like it's a packet of £5 pencils off Amazon. So, I'm now going to have to call DHL.
This is literally a 1980s-level delivery experience. Absolutely unacceptable, especially for expensive computer kit. I would give 0 stars if I could.
Why does Dell use this shocking delivery company?
I have no idea why Dell uses this company to deliver their parcels. Twice in succession I have had PCs delivered while I was out. On both occasions the PC was left on my front door step in an area where it could easily have been stolen. On both occasions I received a delivery confirmation email stating that I'd personally signed for the parcels. I'm not sure if they're lazy or simply stupid?
Failed delivery, zero communication, unacceptable service
I was expecting delivery of a high-value Dell Alienware desktop (£5,000+) on 7 January 2026, with a confirmed delivery window of 08:00–18:00. I arranged to be home all day, taking leave from work to accommodate this.
The delivery never arrived.
There was:
❌ No delivery attempt
❌ No call, text, or email
❌ No delay notification
❌ No updated tracking information
As of 19:30, the tracking still incorrectly shows the parcel as “due to be delivered today,” which is clearly inaccurate and misleading.
If there is a delay, that is understandable — but complete silence is not. For a logistics company handling expensive, time-critical deliveries, this level of communication failure is unacceptable.
This experience highlights a serious lack of accountability and customer communication. Unfortunately, customers are given no choice of courier, and this poor service reflects badly on the retailers like Dell forced which use DP World.
I would strongly advise companies to reconsider using DP World for consumer deliveries, particularly for high-value items.
Delivered on time
Delivered on time, by a cheerful courier. Only given 4 stars as tracking could bdeTracking stated that the parecel hadn't been received, right up until it was delivered, whereby it changed to a "Delivered" status.
DP World are awful in every respect!
A similar problem as most have reported. I had a scheduled delivery for Friday 12/12/25 between 08:00 and 18:00 for my >£2300 laptop. I waited in the entire day, but nothing arrived. It's now Sunday, and still nothing. DP World's tracking page still states that it's going to be delivered on 12/12/25!
Awful, is an understatement. Useless, is probably more apt!

Service is not Professional
Not satisfied with the service as they committed for Door to Door service. they reach to our apartment and asking for extra charges to carry the goods to my 5th floor though they have use Lift. Delivery staff behavior not professional.
Unbelievably bad service
Unbelievably bad service. Item should have been delivered on a Wednesday, it's now Tuesday and I still don't have the item. No delivery attempted on the Wednesday. I was home but at 9pm received notification that delivery was attempted but property was inaccessible...not true! Rearranged for delivery to my local pick up point the next day, but for the next 4 days no updates. Parcel suddenly turns up at my home today but driver had to take the parcel back from me as it should have been sent to the pick up point, not my home!! Despite me showing ID he would not give me the item...now returned to warehouse AGAIN and I have no idea whether or not I will actually get the item, whether or not they will turn up at my home tomorrow again only to take the item away again, or whether or not it will go to the pick-up point. I've never had such an horrendous experience with a courier...they make Evri look good!! THIS is why I buy from Amazon 95% of the time. Dell need to do better with their courier service.

hattet einen Termin mit dem Service abholdienst, aber niemand kam und es gab keine Informationen. Nach einem Gespräch mit Bosch und einer Weiterleitung zu DP-Board wurde euch eine unklare Auskunft gegeben. Am Freitag habt ihr erneut angerufen, und es wurde bestätigt, dass das Gerät am Montag abgeholt wird. Danach habt ihr eine Bestätigungsmail erhalten. Eine Woche später habt ihr nachgefragt, weil das Gerät noch nicht da war. Bosch sagte, es sei an DP-Board weitergegeben worden, und ihr sollt dort anrufen. Leider sprach die Dame dort schlecht Deutsch, was den Prozess verzögert hat.
A mule would be quicker and more efficient
Dell PC delivery, 8am - 6pm time slot (!), zero tracking. Day 1 - waited in all day, arrived 7.35pm just after I had given up and left the house. No phone call just left. Day 2 - didn't bother waiting in. By sheer luck happened to be home at 7.30pm when PC finally arrived an hour and a half outside the 10 hour delivery window. A week later, Dell laptop delivery. 10 hour window 8am - 6pm. Supposedly arrived 8.44pm and claimed "owner not home". This is a lie - no "sorry I missed you note" and on checking CCTV footage, no sign of any delivery van or driver. Worst delivery service I have ever encountered.

No delivery made on their re-scheduled date, and then their website claimed that I wasn't home... I was actually sitting by the door bell, writing a message to the seller about the fact that I hadn't received the order at the time they claim I wasn't home!

Again, it is regarding delivery (or rather non-delivery) of a Dell computer. Like many others, it's just been a story of promised delivery date, change to delivery date, cancellation of delivery, with every date then caveated with having to stay in for 10 hours, with zero ability to even specify an alternative place to leave the delivery if nobody is in.
As I work away, the delivery is to my mother's house, so currently she's had 2 days where she's had to cancel plans and then stayed in for no reason with another one likely to happen on Monday given the reviews here. The delay isn't even the worst part: it's the constant changing of delivery dates and promises that mean you have to chop and change commitments, to then find - often later the same day - that it was all pointless.
I cannot believe that Dell are unaware of the consistently useless "service" provided by DP World and my only assumption then is that they do not give a toss and are happy for their business to go to HP, IBM or whoever. Certainly that's where mine will be going now.

Another Dell laptop ordered, Dell tell me they are using DP World. It was due to be delivered today and I have had no contact from DP World at all and it is now 5.30pm. I've WFH today for this and need to be back in the office tomorrow. I won't be home to receive it now unless it turns up in the next 30 minutes.
Their package tracker is awful, all it says it is out for delivery. Where? When? Etc.

5 days later DP world know nothing about it.
6 days later DP world email with a `planned' delivery 10 hour slot next Monday BUT neither site have any record of such a plan ! An absolute pair of Jokers.

I’ve had the worst customer service experience ever with Dell and their delivery partner, DP World.
I ordered a new Dell monitor on 13 October, with a promised delivery date of 15 October. After waiting at home for days, no delivery ever arrived. Instead, DP World falsely reported that I had “refused delivery” which is completely untrue. I was at home, and no one ever came.
When I contacted customer service, DP World were rude and unhelpful, sending passive-aggressive messages and blaming me for their mistakes. Two days later, I cancelled the order in frustration. Yet, I’m still waiting for a refund and stuck dealing with the consequences of an error that wasn’t mine.
If a customer buys directly from Dell, the delivery responsibility lies with Dell, not with their subcontractors. This entire experience has been unacceptable.
DP World is not fit for purpose, and Dell should not be using a delivery service that treats customers like this.
