Poor delivery service
Unfortunately, the racquets were not delivered in time so I had to return them. I also wasn’t refunded the extra charge for the 12pm courier service that I paid for but wasn’t fulfilled 😕

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that your parcel did not arrive within your expected time frame. Unfortunately due to our couriers' processes, parcels sent outside of mainland UK or to Scotland are subject to a possible delay that means delivery can take one additional day. We do include a note of this at checkout to help make our customers aware of this potential delay.
Kind Regards,
Direct Sports

Restringing service sucks
Ordered a Wilson Blade racket from them with a restringing service. It was strung with the wrong tension, supposed to be 53lbs, but it was 60lbs when arrived. Would be totally unusable, and had to return it. However they charged me a surprisingly high fee of £35 for returning (even I didn't use it at all). Will NEVER buy a racket from them again!

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your order. We are proud to have an expert team of stringers and only ever aim to complete every restring to the highest quality. It would be of no benefit to us to complete a restring to a tension different to what has been requested. Our Returns Policy does state that a charge of £20 will be deducted from a refund amount where a restring has been completed. The other £15 is comprised of the initial restringing and delivery costs, both of which are non-refundable, as well as the fee for using our Returns Label.
Kind Regards,
Direct Sports.

Happy Squash Order
Ordered squash rackets, grips, balls and goggles and it all arrived the next day in good order. Great range of selection on the website with everything you could need for squash in one place (other sites are very hit and miss), easy to use and standard prices. No complaints here, will definitely use again.

No delivery
Bought a hockey stick for approximately £90.
Although my order included specific instructions to leave the package behind the bins if no one was home, these instructions were not followed. We were present on the scheduled delivery day, yet the driver did not ring the bell (at least we did not hear it), and the item was never received.
After contacting the team, and a few email conversations over a couple of weeks (and having to chase), I was informed that too much time had passed to provide a resolution. First and last time I bought from Direct Sports.

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback. We apologise on behalf of DPD with any issues encountered with the delivery of your order. We had made every effort to support your claim with DPD, even after their initial investigation had concluded that the parcel was delivered correctly. We were then informed by DPD that we were not able to pursue this further due to your request for the item to be left in a safe place and your delay in responding to our initial communications.

Direct Sports
Returns policy sucks
Returns policy sucks. Opening a package to see the contents means that it won't be accepted for a refund - this goes against the normal online shopping ethos. Better not to risk buying from this company otherwise what might seem a reasonable buy can end up a total waste of money. Shipping charges including the return for unopened items means any refund will not cover the costs sufficiently. This the first and last time I will buy from this company online.

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback. Our Returns Policy does clearly state that all returned items must be in a resaleable condition with all packaging in tact, which is in line with many other online retailers. We have tried to look into this particular situation for you but cannot find your order with us, if you wish for further support with your query please contact our customer service team with your order number so that we can look into this further for you.
