Awful championships for kids.
A one time birthday party yes but a horrific experience for kids wanting to take things seriously with their championships.
Old and rusty karts, poorly maintained, some 5 seconds a lap quicker than the other, break down on track 2/3times a race but told they are perfect, Lovely lady co-ordinating the show will admit the way they operate and quality of the karts is useless however nothing is still done.
Also parents with cash have certain influence over the manager and marshal’s with cash waved in their face which will result in 3/4 kids moved around out of a kart to suit a certain few children.
Marshall’s have 0 interest in racing as they have told me in general conversation bar one or two of them.
One particular marshal refused to listen to my son over brake failure only for two laps later his kart brakes to fail causing an incident and the replacement kart breaking down twice.
All races we competed in we never finished due to kart failure every time resulting in putting every time and never did I see a refund even for the 3 races we didn’t compete in at the end due to mis treatment.
The last straw was having two groups on the track at a time, my boy overtaking his age group in a championship race and then the separate older group of older kids who started 30 seconds earlier which should have been blue flagged, 2nd from last of the older/junior kids accidentally turned in & crashed into my boy which he later apologised for. My boy continued the race to be on the podium and they took it away from him causing him bursting out in tears after jumping for joy with his friends. My son and the other boy are friends all laughing with the other child apologising however the manager and marshal’s of the track decided he should be punished after working super hard to get where he got. After me catching the incident on camera they had no interest to rectify their upsetting mistake. Manager of the track couldn’t care what kids run off in tears. Even with a video of the incident. We have been racing with our own kart now for over a year and not once have a seen a child cry, yet at Daytona there are children crying every week which has the track solely responsible. Us racing a 5/6 other tracks we have never seen anything like it. DON’T take you’re child here for anything other than a one time thing as they will be disheartened and distraught breaking their little hearts so avoid at all costs, rival tracks will not have you’re children in tears. Aspiring racers will have their dream taken from them at Daytona Sandown Park so like I said AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

We are disappointed to receive this negative feedback. We accept that you are a passionate parent but its fair that we also get to comment. We have read the feedback and comment as follows.
Your son was involved in a controversial manoeuvre during a championship round. He was given a penalty. In the event that an entrant is not happy with a judicial decision there is an appeal process. You did not make an appeal following the process as is set out in the championship regulations.
You later approached us complaining about the decision. Despite the regulations we agreed to review your video footage. The Race Director and the CEO.
What the video shows is that your son made what was (in our opinion) an unnecessary move to overtake a competitor who was in a different class. The sensible thing would have been to wait for a safer place to pass as the two were not competing against each other for position. Your son pulls up alongside the other driver (and has effectively “won” the corner. Your son then brakes heavily allowing the other driver to move ahead of him before the other driver turns in. At this point because he is ahead the other driver has right of way. There was contact and an incident caused by your son. The penalty was therefore entirely correct. We advised you of this. Safety and fairness are our priority and we discharged our duty in both regards. We're completely impartial and the rules apply to all the participants. We obviously don't want to make anyone upset but the incident was bad enough to receive the penalty which we reviewed a second time and it was clear that your son was responsible. Our Championship races have Championship rules and although occasionally there are incidents on track that parents don't agree with, we enforce them to ensure the safety of the drivers, to ensure fair races and so that the drivers understand that go-karting is a no-contact sport.
We note that you have made statements that are completely untrue in your post. You allege that the marshals do not pay attention. They clearly were on the day in question and made the right call. You have suggested that your son has “never finished a race. we checked this too and it is completely untrue – in his last race he finished in second place, indeed in many of his races he finished in first place. We also note that you claim that we rescinded the penalty and apologised. This is also untrue – we did not rescind the penalty as it was absolutely correct and justified.
It is disappointing that you have misrepresented the facts and agree that it is better that you don’t provide us with your patronage.

Great, great and great - that's the only words I can really tell over time. Thanks for that matter anyway for being able to do that. Motorcycle and machine sports for our little kids are being done there for whatever reasons out there, care to share this with us ?

Amazing day at Daytona Milton Keynes
Amazing day at Daytona Milton Keynes. My grandson Henri-james lost confidence on his Bambino module 1, instructor Josh took his time, was very patient, had a chat and gave Henri-james the confidence to start his drive. Within minutes my grandson was flying around, and went on to complete Bambino module 2 as well. Now he's hooked. Great facilities, helpful staff, easy to find with loads of parking.

We took our 5 Son to the Esher track …
We took our 5 Son to the Esher track today for his Bambino module 1 training. We arrived to lots of parking, the reception was clean and friendly and the staff were very polite to us and explained the driver profile system etc.
We got 3 drinks at the cafe/reception/bar and the prices seemed about right for this type of place.
My sons race suit and helmet were clean and well maintained.
We went to the Bambinos track and the instructor was very good with my boy, he was clear with his instructions and talked my son through what was required.
The kart itself was in good order and looked safe ( I am aware they don't go about 8 mph or something on this course)
We are looking forward to going back for Module 2 and for Bambino arrive and drive in the future. I would recommend for kids, my son had a brilliant introduction to motorsport.

Motorsport for kids!
Disgusting service. This place is for kids, they do not take racing seriously whatsoever. They make the rules up as they go along and do not penalise drivers equally! If you want to take you 12-year old daughter racing then great, if you want a serious racing experience do not go to Daytona. Carts are all different speeds and you will not get a fair representation of your driving skills! Staff are also rude, arrogant, unfriendly, and unhelpful.
