What to say? Well the course is intense but we were advised that at the start of the 13 of us that started on the Monday only 7 of us attended the final exam on the Friday morning and I am advised only 3 of us passed. The course is not that difficult however it is crammed in to too short a time as much of what you learn goes (to a degree) against how we naturally think (OK how I naturally think) and don't think that this is a 5 day course because come Friday morning you are sitting your exam so only 4 days during which you sit your foundation exam. All that said the running of the course and the Tutor was top class the only downside for me was the distance I had to travel or more to the point the time it took me. Via train I was adding a minimum of three hours per day to the course then 1.5 hours of homework equated to very long days

I expected the course to be quite dry and for each day to be a struggle, but the tutor was so knowledgeable and so enthusiastic that it really flew by. She had a huge amount of energy and made sure that all the students felt supported throughout. The content was challenging, but I felt that I had learned a huge amount by the end of the week.

The course content was very relevant and there was some very useful techniques and tips around exam preparation/how to answer the questions. Course trainer was very knowledgeable and made the course enjoyable as well as informative.

All the information and more to get you through your exams.

Highly disorganised in terms of the course and scheduling dates which was disappointing but thats okay for trainers apparently to be like that. The free food was rubbish and that wasn't datrix's fault.

The subject taught wasn't communicated well by trainer alan although alan is obviously an expert in the field he failed to communicate vital concepts surrounding the course and its themes across to the class leaving people confused in certain aspects of the course which should of been straightforward.

I think i would have to pay to resit the exam again with another firm as heavily disappointed with the experience.

I was recently on a PRINCE2 foundation course and it was among the best courses I've attended. The trainer had an in depth knowledge of the subject, was very charismatic and made the course more enjoyable. The course materials were very good, as was the environment and more importantly everyone on the course (provisionally) passed!

Undertook the Prince2 foundation 3 day course and although quite intensive and at times mindmelting, the trainer guided us all through to pass. He was very personable and used his experience to explain and demonstrate the various techniques and principles.

Tutor was really engaging, knowledgeable and made the sessions as interesting as possible. As a result the group had an excellent pass rate.

I've been on plenty of training courses over the years and I can say without doubt that Datrix's >> Prince2 Practitioner << training was up there with the best of them. The tutor, Bilkis, was absolutely GREAT and the structure of the course was comprehensive and well paced. That's not to say that it wasn't hard work because I really was, both during the day and hours at home each night but, to paraphrase Groucho Marx, I wouldn't went a certification that was easy to get.

Fully enjoyed this 5 day course, and felt that it represented good value for money. The course trainer was very organised, able to elaborate with personal experiences to clarify or illustrate the particular section we were engaged on, and always willing to take a bit more time to refresh or correct where course students made mistakes or were confused. about a subject.
Final 2.5 hour exam was tough, but managed to complete with a few minutes to spare.

Good training course, really competent trainer who managed to keep us engaged for the whole week. Good venue choice for the training. Good service from datrix when booking etc - no complaints.

I wouldn't have passed without the revision session on the morning of the exam, so thank you!

I successfully completed my MSP Practition couse. Thank you. The choice of venue was excellent and conducive to the learning environmemt. I would like to see the quality of the manual improved especially with coloured diagrams in the had not copied very well and labelled file dividers to be inserted into the manual to seperate the various sections. OH slides for each day/practice papers/ answers/additional material to aid the learning.

Nice clean venue (Aldgate), with easy access by tube. Excellent teacher/trainer, just thought it was a little rushed at times, but to be fair it's a hefty syllabus to get through in 4 days. Enjoyed myself though, and passed both exams which was my main reason to go for a combined week long training course. Booking & payment were easy too. Polite & friendly people at every touch point too. Thanks!!!

I found the course very useful and informative, broadening my project management knowledge, but extremely intensive.

It would have been helpful if we had been informed at the start of the course that the Practitioner exam could be deferred for a couple of months if we so chose. We only found out at the end of the fourth day. I later realised this was in the info at the front of the Prince folder but I think it would have helped to point it out as not many of us were aware.

I think there is a big jump from Foundation to Practitioner ie a very short space of time to apply theory to contextual situations. The trainer was very knowledgeable and helpful giving us techniques to use and apply in the exam but he sometimes went off on a bit of a tangent and we seemed to jump around quite a bit - I think had one main scenario been used throughout the week to illustrate the different aspects of the methodology, it would have been helpful to our learning and made the transition from theory to context easier. It would also have been useful to have a print out of the powerpoint slides.

It would also have been really helpful if the College's Induction session had provided more input about the course - its intensity, expectations and options available - and if we had received the Prince manual earlier.

I studied for the Prince2 Foundation and Practitioner qualifications, all in 4.5 days (plus extensive mandatory evening study after each day in class). I do not feel that the course allows for any of the learning to be embedded - no exercises to consolidate the learning. There is also only one style of delivery, so if you don't learn well by just listening and taking notes, you are disadvantaged. Also, if - as I was - you are completely Prince2-naive at the start, you'll find yourself playing catch-up, as the tutor simply hasn't got the time to pace the course delivery in order to bring you up to speed.

I was exhausted by the time I sat my exam (as were many others on my course), didn't feel confident that I had truly understood Prince2 (more a robotic regurgitating of the stuff I'd lived and breathed for the previous 4 days). The problem with this style of cramming, as anyone who's done so for an exam before will know, is that you do not actually embed the learning for any length of time. I suspect I would score very low on an exam now, only 4 weeks after the course, particularly as I don't use it in a work environment at the moment.

I suggest the course would need to be 2 weeks long in order to address these issues. I'm aware that that carries a cost implication, but the higher quality of qualified candidate exiting the course might justify the increased outlay - at the moment I suspect a lot of organisations are penny-pinching by wanting staff put through the course in 1 week, but not actually getting what they want, namely Prince2 expertise.

All of that said, I was very impressed with the excellent tutor (Paul), the venue was good and well located (though shame about the uninspired lunches - sarnies and chips every day - I felt ill by Friday) and I have come away with a Prince2 Practitioner qualification and an overview of the Prince2 system, so it's not all bad!

Datrix Training were tasked with supplying preparation and moderating a Prince 2 exam at my place of work. The prep work was key to ensuring I was not only ready for the exam but also confident about passing. Without this I am not sure I would have passed so thank you...

The training was excellent and the trainer was very knowledgeable. We got through a lot of information and to pass 2 exams in one week was quite an achievement!

The only constructive criticism was that when you are doing mock exams without having completed all the training it is disconcerting that you inevitably obtain a low score. I know this does not matter and it is just preparing you for the exam but nonetheless it feels like the training is geared to exam prep and not learning.
