Juniper ward Cygnet Churchill hospital. INCONSISTENT. They started experimenting with a …
They started experimenting with a different drug for my brother, then they started changing it back to original drug. They thought they knew everything. I call that arrogance. They did not want to listen to a family member because each time they said they invited me to a ward round they lied. They don't want the opinions of the relatives, as they just want to be right. Well they are making big mistakes with my brother. These people think they can control patients through drugs. They spending time experimenting on taking my brother of his regular medication he had for over 20 years and then putting him back on it. Some of the staff are so rude in manner. They work with mentally ill people ,so they like to treat visitors like they are mentally ill too. There's recovery Juniper ward staff at Cygnet Churchill hospital. Don't put everyone in boxes please. Your not the best hospital by a long way. I got a promise in a phone call by this wards doctor that I would be involved in my brother's ward round. Even he lied. I am looking into a tribunial for my brother. Family have rights and patients have rights. These staff here need to remember that. There inconsistent in here causing worse ill health for their patient.
In Good Hands
I can only comment on the interview process and the training, thus so far.
The interview was extremely professional and I was treat with dignity and compassion.
The manageress and her colleague were very thorough and calm, listening actively and allowing me plenty of time to answer.
Regarding the e-learning, there are a few technical issues, but on a whole, extremely informative and rewarding.
Iv been an engineer for 25 years, but decided that I would prefer to fix humans than machines, therefore, it’s an unknown quantity, but I feel from my experience with Cygnet so far, that I will be in good hands.
I didn’t want to even give 1 star

I worked at a house in Heaton Moore the management is a total waste of time I was attacked and sexually assaulted by a resident of there’s they lied and played the blame game you get promoted if you shut up and put up they put people in charge with no experience medication doesn’t get given when it should staff have openly overdosed residents because management put wrong amounts of medication on the MARR sheet medication gets lost/stolen by staff none of the staff have much training
Staff have to put up with residents pleasuring themselves in front of them residents get violent a lot of the time staff don’t have the backup they need honestly a shocking company need to actually get someone decent to come in a shake it up
Residential Carehome Birmingham
Firstly, just remember a young Swan!
Sent CV and called to ask for a zoom interview knowing my CV is a ‘working history’. I believe what’s more important is who you are and your values, what your standards and aspirations are etc.
I was granted a face-to-face interview where I was given the position applied for within 10mins with the manageress based by B’ham city training ground. They know who they are. Step 2 was a shed-load if e-learning which I was told it needs to be done ASAP. An very difficult request and all but impossible for some other applicants, even those who had been in this field for years. I attended an obligatory 2 day MAPA course so hours and hours of preparation for the role was done as well as a confidence boost for myself.
The company only then after all training decide to mention about my DBS check via e.mail. How professional, after all of that money that had been spent on me!
It was upon receipt of that I was sent back a recorded letter by themselves.. I had my DBS check returned along with what I expected to be my 1st rota which all others and me were told we would have had 2 weeks before the end of my obligatory training.
Instead it was a very short, blunt, disrespectful and carefree letter from the manageress that actually said we are withdrawing your application due to an unclean DBS record.
I believe that applying for a job you are not interested in is a waste of time. I’m sure you’d all agree with that?
I applied for the position because I wanted it and prove to them and myself that I would have a passion and prove that they have made the decision by employing an asset to them. A massive kick between my legs!
I did want this position, big-time, all the proactive steps taken by them for me to start ready for me to walk into they quite literally ripped me apart.
I went to the branch and asked to speak to the Manageress but was not allowed and sent a ‘big man’ to come out and intimidate me to tell me that..using my full name…she will not see or speak to me and for me to go away. Shame the big man and me had already met 😂. Didn’t even know who trained me (he works there). Speaks volumes for the manageress care of duty for her own in-house staff too.
I’ve worked in other occupations that vulnerability was paramount in my role to carry out my job before leaving it for this.
Shocking in my opinion in the way it seems to want to employ workers and I still see many on recruitment sites (months after) regarding this company...OMG speaks volumes.
Don’t waste your time, mine again was next to B’ham City training ground) don’t waste your time with these because ultimately they’re (B’ham manageress) blind unto themselves.
Ruthless manageress at this branch and noticed that in other independent reviews on other sites that specify their reason to use to create such a disrespectful letter..it doesn’t bode well so far. Not nice ones at all!
I believe that Everyone should be given a 2nd chance and not be shat on!
Upper management IF they knew how their managers ran each of their branches should either be shocked knowing their training costs were all for nothing. A new recruitment protocol process is carried out ASAP in my opinion.
Stay well away! They have come across as misleading, ruthless, shallow, disrespectful and senseless by not asking for a DBS almost immediately upon yes to an interviewee (me) especially in a role like I went for plus and moreso a check to see whether they want to what I say ‘waste their money on me’.
Comes across as the manageress there isn’t bothered as it’s not coming out of her own pocket, it’s her employers so it isn’t paramount to do things in a way whereby
1. Saves the company money.
2. In a revised recruitment protocol that MUST be an enrolment procedure done in a fairer, more intelligent manner with the credentials cleared and checked before letting the pending employee where they stand should they appear as soon as anything of any issues should appear.
Protocols/methods of procurement of essential information should be revised…simples!!
A residential care home to be ran like this by the manageress here clearly speaks volumes for the company she works for..and currently gets away with it, unless the ways of procurement are a revised protocol within the recruitment phase.
They could of stuck their training, e-learning and misleading acceptance for the position method applied for review I can clearly and confidently say with highensight.
They wasted company money on an accepted job role for the position I applied for and got it successfully.
Time wasters and heartbreakers! From a care home 🤔 Not right full-stop!!!
Keep away, run, know what rides a horse in America and think of ‘near the driving range’. That sums up that home location and how it’s run there. The manageress is responsible for. Like a coin! Heads or tails! Tut tut!😡
Worst interview Beckton!
Had an interview for this company. The moment the greetings were exchanged I found the manager to be rude.there were two people during my interview but my main issue was the manager. Her tone of voice from the very second was disgusting. I never for one moment felt comfortable enough to think straight. I could not conduct myself due to the way the manager was. She made no eye contact was rude when I finished answering. I was told straight that I was going to be asked 4 question and I’m not to ask any myself until they say so and that was said with an uninviting rude tone.when I finally got to ask a question before I had finished my sentence I was told NO...does that answer your question with no eye contact.that was the worst interview I have ever experienced. I had another interview 2 days later for a hospital and the two people conducting the interview was so different. I was made to feel so comfortable, they told me to relax had a few laughs and 2 days later I got the job and that’s because they acted professional made me feel comfortable and had respect for the person that could potentially be working with them. The Cygnet Health Beckton manager was disgustingly unprofessional in all manors. If I had got the job I would have turned it down nothing but bad reviews and now I understand why I was treated so badly during my interview. I showed I cared and according to other reviews, that’s frowned upon. Avoid at all cost!!!
