Worst experience ever. The product doesn't work - doesn't deliver as promised. Terrible and overpriced.
Easy to use, but video streaming needs work
Overall, the Attendee Hub and Cvent platform have been a huge upgrade from our previous virtual conference platform provider. The hub is easy to build out and customize and very easy for attendees to navigate. Our main complaint has been with the consistency of video streaming. We haven't really been able to reliably use the built in video streaming software on the platform and have mostly been redirecting attendees to watch in a Zoom Room. This takes a lot away from using the hub since attendees aren't actively watching sessions from the hub but rather from within Zoom. Otherwise, customer service/support have been great and the attendee hub has so much potential.
Customer service is terrible!
Customer service is rarely able to assist with the issue after you wait on hold anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. Absolutely terrible!
CVENT should face class action lawsuit from event companies for its actions during covid
We are an event organizer that has been largely inactive due to COVID. Our customers are not comfortable attending/sponsoring events due to the COVID variants. We are a customer of CVENT, a relationship that has deteriorated rapidly since the start of the pandemic. During start of COVID in 2020, CVENT sales people commenced aggressive phone calls from 9am- to as late as 1am ET; as many as 20 phone calls per day over the period of one week attempting to sell services. Phone calls at late hours were deemed intrusive and offensive. During these calls, the CVENT sales person made comments that “CVENT needed money,” “CVENT needs to sell new services.” CVENT sales people calling my cell phone as late as 1am ET. 10 phone calls from Lindsay, a sales person, between 9pm-1am ET. Additional CVENT person called and noted that “CVENT is losing money, having severe financial difficulties with event clients” but its private equity “is diversified and able to counter the losses.” CVENT has crossed the line during COVID. Any other media/event companies reading this message with a similar experience may want to consider litigation. In addition, any lawyers reading this message may have a case against CVENT for harassment, unethical tactics, threats, etc against its event customers during COVID. Completely out of line.
AVOID CVENT AT ALL COSTS!
I have had a frustrating 2 year experience with Cvent. The sales person who sold me "Social Tables" quit and then the next person assigned to my account quit. After bouncing from one account manager to the next, Covid hit and I never used the service for 16 months. There is no customer service and the help line is in a foreign country. I made a very bad choice by doing anything with Cvent. Avoid doing business with them at all costs.
Awful
Awful, awful, company. Ethically this is one of the worst companies to do business with. Look around at other hybrid solutions as they are bloated as a company, unethical management, and lacking in attention to detail on technology. Short of the full store, please don't do business with this company. They took us for $30k and were uncompromising with their legal team. Don't sign their contract. Buyer beware.

Warning: do not sign a contract with this firm. Read the terms closely. This is not a company that cares about retaining you. No force majeure. So if your event is cancelled they will still hold you liable. What they will do is offer you terms but only if you sign up for an extension to your contract. They know no one reads opinions like these. And their sales people are told to just sell. Support is through non english speaking people. Their accounting is poor. Don't go with these people at all costs!!!!!!!
Cvent, pricy, easy for guest experience...
Cvent is great to use as a basic event interface. They just recently released a new version of event website buildout that our company has not yet used but it supposed to look better and be easier to build. Cvent comes at a price and the customer support is great however takes a lot of time to come to a conclusion on what needs to be done and you aren't always given help when you ask for the help - instead, they get back to you after creating a help ticket.
Cvent is simple for our guests to use and it does help with that, however, if you are not the savviest HTML/tech person it can take a while to build out a website/registration.
CrowdCompass (the mobile app tool) is by far the best Cvent product. Easy to build and use and isn't too expensive!
Wasted 1.5hrs on Cust Svc CHAT!
I am completely livid with the wasted 1.5hrs I spent with a customer service agent (Shajo) on a chat to get venue ideas. He couldn't move forward without a budget, so I got him one off the internet. Then, he insisted on a zip code, so I gave him one in the area we wanted our event. He did not tell me there wasn't enough of a selection in the area I wanted and that we'd have to cross over the bay if we wanted more. It wasn't until the end that I discovered that! So when he asked me if there was "anything else to include" I asked him to send me a copy of the info he was going to send out for me to verify accuracy before he sent it. (He was very confused most of the time & VERY difficult to work with!) Instead of doing so, he told me to book it on my own!!! - I ended the chat after giving him some "choice words." THEN HE CALLED ME!! I told him, I did not want to speak with him again, and HE CALLED ME BACK!! This was a huge waste of time & money for my boss that paid me to search out a venue. I will be voicing this complaint elsewhere.

More than 48 hours. Once they have sold your contract Cvent push you to a self manage web forum model saying only large accounts are assigned any account management or care team. They offer access to a renewal team and that's it.
There are many other competitors that we find more client focused and based in Uk and Europe.
