Bedste cocktailbar i København! Prøv den!

Jeg er kommet på Curfew en del. Det skyldes, at det er en af de bedste cocktailbarer i København og de sætter en høj standard. Jeg har altid fået en virkelig god betjening. De har sat et super fedt koncept op og at de fastholder det, er så skønt. Og de er hjælpsomme med at finde gode cocktails til det, som du ønsker.

Jeg føler altid, at selvom de har super travlt, så gør de hvad de kan for, at DU får en god oplevelse. Jeg har været der på travle aftener og stille hverdagsaftener og begge dele kan noget. Men konceptet og folkene bag står stadig super skarpt uanset dag i ugen

Et godt råd: sørg for at reserver bord og kom til tiden, fordi det er et eftertragtet sted!

Jeg kan godt læse, at der er kommet negative anmeldelser og folk kan have forskellige værdier. Jeg genkender dog ikke det, som beskrives.
Men jeg vil også sige, at folk skal huske, at et populært sted skal overholde visse standarder for, at konceptet skal kunne bibeholdes.

Jeg husker en episode, hvor nogen forsøgte at snige sig ind foran os andre i køen. De blev vist til døren med samme og nægtet adgang fordi de havde udvist mangel på respekt for os andre, som havde reserveret og ventede på et bord.
Og den holdning har jeg respekt for. Go Curfew!

This whole place has an amazing and…

This whole place has an amazing and detailed vibe. From the entrance, where you are welcomed in professional manner and seated at the table, to the cosy service from hostess. Cocktails here are highend and every single detail is well thought through, also all spirit's and liquor used to mix with are of high quality. Have been enjoying different cocktails and drinks in many places around the world, but Curfew is definitely in my top list of bars that tends to deliver full experience.
PS! If you don't have reservations on busy days, then expect to wait for available seating or get the opportunity to come back later.

The most unique and tasty cocktail experience!

I have been there more than 15 times during the past 3 years, and have absolutely been satisfied all of the times I visited Curfew. From their welcoming reception by the (hidden) entrance, to providing us with great service and presenting us with the most unique and tasty drinks.

Their cocktails are amazing creations and custom-designed by the experienced owner and bartenders. They are so distinctive and delicious, like nothing else you have tasted before. My favorite ones are "Arne Jacobsen" (rum-based) and "Bonnie & Clyde" (whiskey-based).

On top of that, the owner is the definition of professionalism and tastefulness, he upgrades the cocktail menu frequently and takes great care of the bar and its decoration and vibe. It emanates a speak-easy, retro atmosphere which will take you back to the golden age of jazz. All the personnel in Curfew shows exceptional service and welcoming manners, they are very polite and treat the customers better than any other bar I have ever been to in Denmark!

I will be visiting Curfew again and again without a second thought!

Best experience Copenhagen has to offer

This place is a gem!
Hands down my favorite place to be in the whole city. I have lived three years in Copenhagen and have visited most bars and pubs and there is no other place with better drinks and better service.

The decor is warm and festive, with a speakeasy atmosphere. The music is always fitting and if you are lucky you might get to experience great live musicians playing some light jazz from time to time!

I have been there so many times I cannot count and every experience has been unique. I actually moved to Malmö and still visit Curfew when I want good strong cocktails and great service, because it is just totally worth the trip.

Everyone in the staff and the owner are welcoming, super polite and professional, and keep a wonderful place with style and high-level cocktail recipes. "Remember the Maine" must be my all-time favorite, but there are always new ones in the menu to try and experiment!

Note that this place is not for those looking to get drunk fast and cheep. There it is prioritized that guests have a high-level of experience. There are other places for that in Copenhagen.

Thank you for creating such an oasis for us cocktail lovers! I will be back soon.

Still the best bar in Copenhagen.

Curfew, what can i say.... The staff is friendly, bartenders knowledgeable, the atmosphere is great and service always top tear! Authentic REAL cocktails is so hard to find in a day and age where anyone with a shaker can call them self a bartender. This place is no joke, its the standard. 6 stars from here and highly recommend.

Arrogant betjening

Jeg har aldrig i Danmark oplevet en så arrogant og nedladende form for service, som vi modtog af ejeren af stedet. Vi forlod stedet efter én drink.
Jeg ville have ønsket, at vi havde læst anmeldelser af stedet inden vores besøg, da det lader til, at mange andre har haft en lignende oplevelse med ejeren, for så havde vi skånet os selv for den dårlige oplevelse.

Extremely bad service

The reply from the owner is a perfect example of the level of arrogance. Thank you for making my point even more clear! 👍

We had a reservation and still had to wait to be seated. After a long wait for our drinks we were told that one of the drinks were no longer available. We then ordered a new one. When the drinks arrived 30 minutes after our seating, we experienced that the Espresso Martini was not very tasteful and we told this to our sweet server. She said that she was sorry and afsked if she could make a new one. We asked to get another drink in sted. This was accepted, until the manager came to our table and demanded to know what was wrong with the drink we ordered in the first place. We explained and he was not satisfied with our response. He said we we were not able to describe it in a way that made sense. He insisted on making us another Espresso Martini because we clearly did not know how it was supposed to taste and he was being very rude. The amount of time he spend on discussing with us must have cost alot more than making new drink. We left and we will not come back.

In addressing the points made in your review, let's set the record straight for a mutual understanding.

You all arrived 30 minutes ahead of your reservation time, our host and doorman suggested that it might be more comfortable to return closer to the time of your reservation. However, you opted to wait, which was entirely your prerogative, and we accommodated that decision and yes you had to wait !

Regarding the wait time for your drinks, it was significantly shorter than perceived. Surveillance confirms a 16-minute interval from order to service, contrary to the 30 minutes reported , there were guests to serve ahead of you. A delay on your order comes also from one of you ladies join you 3 after 5 minute talking with other person at a table near by .

On the evening in question, we did face a shortage of one cocktail you ordered due to high demand, a situation we always try to avoid.

The waitress took your espresso martini back after you asking for a gin Tonic exchange by saying that the Espresso martini wasn't tasty , she didn't accept nothing as you suggest instead she said the she would need to ask the Manager in this case myself the owner.
We do not exchange drinks without a fundamental issue with the drinks himself.
The issue with the Espresso Martini, was crafted with premium vodka, quality espresso, and Kahlua, was peculiar. Upon deciding it was not to your liking and requesting a Gin and Tonic instead, we sought to understand the specific aspects of your dissatisfaction. Without a clear explanation other than finding it not tasty or too watery, we suggested remaking the Espresso Martini because this is unusual a guest tells us that our espresso Martini wasn't done properly or didn't taste good and then change to a gin tonic didn't make any sense.
This was not to question your taste but to ensure we could provide a drink that met your expectations. we redone the Espresso but sill wasn't at your likes and honestly we don't have complains about our espresso martinis. Our intention was assertive, aiming for resolution, not rudeness. Bu indeed rude was you by raising your voice to me the owner as you were a guest in my place.

Acknowledging the possibility that my approach may have seemed abrupt, and in a gesture of goodwill, we chose not to charge for the drinks in question. This decision was made in good faith as you took my approach as rude despite the narrative shared in your review.

. However you run quickly to portrayal the event in a public forum in a manner that deviates from the actual occurrences is disappointing.

Upon seeing the bill, he objected to paying and behaved rudely, including using offensive language towards me, the owner.

Our priority is the comfort and safety of all guests, which led to the decision to remove the disruptive individual from the premises. When I approached you about this incident, your response indicated a lack of responsibility for the actions of someone within your group.

Vi var i godt humør, havde glæde os til drinks inden middag.

Vi havde booket til fire, vi ankom fem. Jeg ankom som femte, tænkte det jo nok går.

Ejeren åbner døren og er mega ubehagelig og arrogant fra start hvor han siger noget ala "I already said to your friends that the gift has to stand up!!" Uden at jeg overhovedet fik et hello eller good evening... Efter at jeg havde stået op en time, ved siden af to tomme stole, spurgte jeg en "manager" meget forsigtigt om vi kunne låne en af stolene - Jeg nåede nu at spørge "Sorry, can I as you something" - mens jeg pegede på stolen, afbrød han prompte og sagde "NO, we already said..."

De kunne blot have sagt at de ikke måtte flytte stolene eller hvad ved jeg, deres opførsel var fuldstændig unødvendigt.

Jeg tog betalingen lige efter og forsøgte at fortælle at vi gik fordi det var ubehageligt - ejeren var afvisende og påståelig. Det var en total syrrealistisk oplevelse. Vi gik derefter et andet sted hen, med en fantastisk betjening og endnu bedre cocktails. 850 kr spildt, som nabo til baren endnu mere øv.

Disrespectful, rude owner - Poor service like nowhere else in Denmark

The only reason why they get 2 stars is due to the look and the style of the location.
Too bad the owner of this place meets you with a cocky attitude, and treat you like you were less than himself.
Here is a kind reminder that in Denmark we all have the duty to treat eachother equal! As pretty much every person in this country can pay for a fancy cocktail, should they desire for it.
Here is the story -My friend and I were seated at a shared table, due to lack of places. No problem so far. We study the menu, yet we get a message (short time after we were seated) from our group of friends, that we should meet at Cafe Victor instead. We explain this to the waiter and we head to warderobe to colect our jackets. The owner follows us at the warderobe, starts pacing back and forth, fussing about how due to us being undecided he will now lose money. That he could have seated somebody else instead of us, and that lucky for us we didn't use "his toilets" - or else he would have charged us. Both my friend and I made him aware of his rude attitude, since we didn't occupy the seats for longer than 10 min in total. And we should have the freedom to leave as we please. The dude wasn't satisfied with not winning the argument, stressing again and again how lucky we were we didn't use his toilet. OR ELSE he would have charged us. He escalated the argument until my friend provoked him by offering him 100 Kr for the unused toilets. He refused the money but kept on 🤢
We all understand the concept of a private location - but we did not have a reservation! And therfore no obligation to stay just because we were seated - at a shared table, for 10 min. We felt trully harassed by this man who couldn't take a rejection, n'or could he take NO for an answer! We are astonished and deeply dissapointed in such a disrespecful service! Never had we ever met such a gross attitude, anywhere in Denmark!
This gentleman should maybe learn a thing or two about the danish culture in the first place! If Janteloven is too much for that cocky attitude, he should by this be reminded that a smile and a warm "we hope to see you next time" would have made a world of difference!
But then again - low selfvesteem has it't way of camuflaging itself behind a rude, superior behaviour!
May you run your Curfew in peace! Be sure the ones who were treated the same way we were treated by you, will never put 1 Kr in your pocket again. Not for drinks n'or for your toilets!

Lets get to facts , you accept to enter at the bar without a reservation and share a table that seats 4 to 5 guests , you have been taken to your table by a waiter , you have been served water as part of the service and given menu: After less than 5 minutes myself as the owner i ask if you have decided on the drinks or if need of any suggestions your answer was dry and direct as - Not yet! and you mention that perhaps that you would leave and no explanation was given. Since i experience that kind of behaviour answer from guests before i left the table, as i knew you wouldn't stay and that was proven by both leaving the table and going straight to the wardrobe to take their jackets and leave, that why i made an approach on the wardrobe. Now let me tell you about respect : you dont have any, no respect for the staff who seat you, no the respect for staff who serve you the water neither respect from the the doorman that give you that opportunity to get in the bar , you simply are leaving the place without saying nothing to staff who serve you and that is is act of no respect for the staff that is working at my place, so yes i approach you to make a point because no explanation was given and that is rude and disrespectful to leave and not to have at least the courtesy of say something that you leaving. And yes if you would use my toilets you would be charged as some guests like you have done that before because nothing is for free. Excuses at the end and going to a platform justify yourself is very lame. Good manners go both ways so maybe you need to learn a thing or two for sure.

Jeg er mildest talt i chok.
Vi var et selskab på 5 som havde booket bord til cocktails. Jeg får spildt hele min drink lige efter servering og får hjælp fra en tjener til at tørre op, samt spørger efter en ny drink. Da vi skal betale, opkræves der for to drinks. Vi italesætter at dette er ret ærgerligt, eftersom den første drink slet ikke blev nydt. Efter samtale frem og tilbage, bliver det aftalt at der “kun” betales for alkoholen i drinken (95kr.). Jeg nævner for tjeneren efterfølgende (i en meget ordentlig og venlig tone!), at nu har vi betalt, men i bund og grund kan der ikke opkræves for en varer som “går i stykker” ved et uheld i henhold til købeloven. Jeg når ikke engang at færdiggøre sætningen, før jeg bliver afbrudt af tjeneren som på den mest ubehagelige måde siger at det er os som er forkert på den og at han kender alt lovgivning samt at han har været mere end generøs i sin vurdering og at han desuden er indehaver af cocktailbaren. Jeg siger at han har en meget ubehagelig og upassende opførsel, men bliver fuldstændigt fejet af igen og talt til som jeg aldrig før har oplevet som gæst og betalende kunde. Vi ender med at stoppe denne “samtale” og går rystede derfra. Kan absolut ikke anbefales.

Som jeg læser igennem anmeldelserne her på trustpilot, så er det ikke første gang at indehaveren af baren har en dårlig og decideret ubehagelig attitude overfor sine gæster og han er tilsyneladende heller ikke bleg for gang på gang at placere hele skylden på sine gæster. Der tegnes et billede af en mand som ikke er i stand til at se indad og lære af sine fejl. En skam da barens omgivelser ellers var hyggelige, men med ALT for dyre cocktails, der desuden ikke er værd at skrive om og en intet mindre end skrækkelig opførsel fra ejeren, så sætter vi aldrig vores ben på Curfew igen. Der er heldigvis mange andre fantastiske barer i København, hvor både drinks og service er i top. For fremtiden kan man jo kun håbe, at barens dårlige ry kommer dem i forkøbet, så andre gæster ikke skal trækkes igennem lignende ubehagelige oplevelser.

Vi er kede af, at I har haft en dårlig oplevelse på Curfew.

Jeg forstår, at der efterfølgende er opstået en utilfredshed, men her vil vi prøve, at skitsere vores oplevelse af samme hændelse.

I havde reserveret et bord i to timer til seks personer. Kun fem personer mødte op til reservationen. Ifølge vores reservationsbetingelser forventer vi, at bordet drikker for den manglende person, eller at opholdet bliver forkortet. I drak i løbet af to timer én cocktail hver. I vores reservationsbetingelser skriver vi også, at vi forventer at gæster indtager minimum en drink i timen. Vi valgte bevidst ikke at forkorte jeres besøg, så I kunne have en god aften.

Da vi havde leveret bordets cocktails væltede én fra selskabet sin drink. Gæsten kom op til baren og fortalte at, hun havde væltet en drink, og bestilte nu en anden end den oprindelige cocktail.

Da der skulle betales var der uenighed med regningen. Vi tilbød hende derfor, at kun betale for den spiritus der var i drinken og ikke hele cocktailen. Det accepterede gæsten.

Grundet omstændighederne ovenfor holder vi stadig fast i, at vi tog den rigtige beslutning på aftenen, og er kede af, at I efterfølgende synes det var en dårlig aften.

God og hyggelig aften

Vi ankom for at have en god og hyggelig aften, hvilket også var nøjagtigt hvad vi fik. Lige fra at gå af menukortet for at imødekomme nogle fødselsdagsønsker til at ejeren selv skænkede os hurtig afslutningsøl, da begge bartendere var optaget. En helt igennem professionel og hyggelig oplevelse.

Have been in Curfew

Have been in curfew, and honestly Will not give any stars if I could do that in here.
Very bad, disgusting, poor and arrogant.

Before I have decided to write my comment I scroll down to see what other people has experienced in there. And yes we had the same: extremely bad service!! We also have heard from manager “it our own problem”! And it not just me! Please notice this experience repeats between all guests. And we are those people who loves cocktail places, we know service and experiences which we have to get.

The most important, that this place DISGUSTING. My friend asked to change drink, and at this point I went out to smoke and saw how waiter/manager was standing with bartenders and tasting and smelling her drink with non-understanding face! In the end he came back with the same glass, just with adding sweetness. So unprofessional, disaster and speechless! And I just have been looking at them. Very sad that it not allowed to film it without permission as it could be real proof. Because after my comment gonna come message that how I can write that? Why I didn’t stop them? Or anything else…just wait

I know that on my comment gonna come a huge explanation, as to all previous people, with all details and how they are not guilty. But it just RED FLAG when people try to excuse them self for next guests, to show that WE are wrong and they are right. We all have been going to the cocktails for many years, and some people have been working with cocktails for many years, so we know how it SHOULD be in professional way!

I know that this place not gonna survive in a long time with workers like that, and it depends on time. But after that disgusting experience it should be closed immediately.

I have to refer to our answer in Google to you and your friend on this matter. You are going out of your way to write multiple reviews on every platform there is, creating multiple fake profiles. So, to end this, let me answer. People who, for some reason are unsatisfied, will always go to online platforms to write, people who are satisfied, will not always go and write reviews. So, if you believe that reviews and the statistics in Trustpilot, Google, Tripadvisor etc. are representative of all customers, you are misinformed.
We always try, when customers come to us and tell us their drink does not fit their taste profile (often because many does not know what their profile is), to change the drink to their liking. We did this, as we explained in the other answer, not with a sweetening agent, but how would you know, as you were outside smoking ;) I recent that you are calling us disgusting, that is just plain disrespectful and discriminating. We do not taste from our customer drinks, end of story. We have hygiene standards, so please stop cooking a lie. Also, remember that taste is subjective, not objective. That doesn't make anyone right or wrong.What matters is how we handle that, and in this situation we have to be able to explain and answer you, and you need to respect that.

Secret yet gorgeous place in Copenhagen!

My boyfriend found and LOVEs this secret yet gorgeous place called Curfew, and now I do, too! We went on a date in Copenhagen and this was the last spot of the day, which made it as a very much pleasant and exciting experience.

I have been told of its unique concept (like the secret entrance), the time-traveling feeling of 20-30's world and not to mention the elegant creations of fine cocktails - I made sure they all are true.

Lovely hospitality from the very door man, the floor concierge and the bartenders simply satisfy a person like me having grown up in the land of hospitality and good service making you feel like a VIP or a princess.

Humberto, the owner and the best bartender, shares back stories and passion serving amusing Arne Jacobsen cocktails (in my pictures) while my boyfriend enjoys his favourite classics.

We'll find the secret door again, and I am sure many more others will do, too!

Meget ringe service

Meget ringe service. De drinks vi bestilte smagte ikke særligt godt og tjenerne var mildest talt ligeglade. Vi gjorde opmærksom på problemet, men han sagde "det er ikke mit problem, køb nogle nye"... Jeg mener come on, you had one job 😂 jeg Kommer aldrig igen det er sikkert. Den omtalte tjener var iklædt et beige jakkesæt den aften. Men kan anbefale mange andre steder som er suverænt bedre, jeg må bare ikke nævne dem her, for så bliver min anmeldelse slettet ! de vil virkelig gerne have et godt ry, så de har anmeldt denne anmeldelse, men de får nok aldrig får et godt ry.

Kære Rasmus,

Vi er kede af du havde en dårlig oplevelse på Curfew i går aftes. Som altid er smag subjektivt, og derfor kan en drink som du ikke kan lide samtidig være en andens favoritdrink.
Du og din ven bestilte en Unfaithful, som faktisk er en af vores mest populære drinks og i øvrigt en prisvindende cocktail. Den har dog en del lakrids i sig, og derfor spørger vi altid
om folk kan lide lakrids inden vi anbefaler den. Det gjorde vi også i går, og I svarede bekræftende på at I godt kunne lide lakrids og bestilte den. I spurgte også ind til om den smagte rigtig meget af agurk,
som er en af de andre ingredienser i drinken. I fik at vide at der er agurk i, men at agurk i sig selv ikke har en særlig kraftig smag, og at den burde være velbalanceret med de andre ingredienser.
Da værten kom tilbage for at tjekke jeres bord informerede I am om at den smagte for meget af lakrids og agurk og at I ikke kunne lide den. Han gik til bartenderen for at tjekke at drinken var lavet korrekt til specifikationerne,
og forespurgte på om der kunne gøres noget ved det. Som udgangspunkt sletter vi ikke drinks fra regningen, hvis man efter at være blevet gjort opmærksom på ingredienserne stadig vælger at bestille, og
derfor var holdningen at vi ikke ville fjerne dem, men at I selvfølgelig var velkomne til at bestille en anden drink.
Værten kom tilbage til jeres bord, og sagde ordret "Jeg er ked af det, men vi kan desværre ikke fjerne jeres drinks fra regningen", og spurgte om I havde lyst til at bestille en anden. Det havde I ikke.
På intet tidspunkt har han udtrykket sig på måden som I beskriver og sagt at det "ikke var hans problem", så det ved vi ikke hvor kommer fra.
En situation som i går opleves altid forskelligt fra begge parter, men i sidste ende er vi kede af I ikke kunne lide jeres drinks, og følte jer dårligt behandlet. Omvendt synes vi vi har gjort hvad vi kunne for at hjælpe jer
med at vælge cocktails, og vi synes ikke det er fair at vi skal give gratis drinks, når I selv vælger noget som I så ikke kan lide.

Usandsynlig dårlig oplevelse fredag d

Usandsynlig dårlig oplevelse fredag d. 27/5 2022. Min kone og jeg følges ikke ad, og hun laver en joke, om at hendes mand er lidt fuld, da hun kommer ind, kort før mig.Det resulterer i, at jeg, i første omgang, ikke får lov at komme ind. Efter lidt tid, er jeg så blevet godkendt af "Chefen" til at komme ind. Jeg var på ingen måde for beruset til at komme ind, det var blot en fejl fra deres side, som gjorde, at vi på ingen måde følge os velkommen og derfor valgte at forlade stedet. Vi kommer ihvertfald ikke igen.

Vi havde forstået joken, men vi tjekker alle gæster før de kommer ind, så vi har i dit tilfælde ikke givet særbehandling. Det er et krav for at kunne beholde en alkoholbevilling og nattiladelse. som Center for Miljøbeskyttelse stiller, at man opererer ansvarligt ift. at sikre at gæster ikke er for berusede når de ankommer og forlader etablissementet på en forsvarlig måde. Jeg er sikker på at du ikke er uforstående overfor det tjek. Vi var på ingen måde uforskammede eller fornærmede Jer, men I tog det meget ilde op utroligt hurtigt. Trods vi lod hele Jeres selskab komme ind. Det var derfor ikke os der skabte en dårlig oplevelse for Jer.
