I have bought and sold many things on craigslist. One really has to be on the lookout for scams because. If you are trying to sell a product or service then competitors will flag the hell out of your ads just so you get removed.

Let's face it though. It has a terrible interface. There are a lot of really strange people on there and it can be brutal to those who don't know what there doing.

At best, you'll be dealing with a 90's themed website (basically wall of text). At worst, you'll be parted with your money without receiving a product. It's a bulletin board without too much moderation or verification, which is good and bad.

But they allow these women to post ads up that sell more than massages with pictures of their bodies being exposed!

While Craigslist started off as a good site, and has maintained a very clean and lightweight design throughout it's existence, it's undoubtedly one of the absolute worst sites on the internet today.

The site staff literally don't care about their users. Support emails are literally never read, they go to an unmonitored inbox. Their site's contact form is literally just a placebo, those messages literally never get read. Their forums are the most toxic place on the internet and you will never get any sort of help from them, only flaming and insults.

The site is full of scams, phishing, criminals trying to set people up to rob them, and it's automated spam filtering algorithms do nothing to prevent the massive flood of spam that makes up the majority of the content on the site, but they do often prevent legitimate users from posting non-spam-content.

Furthermore, the founder, Craig Newmark, is an objectively terrible person. He's not a good man. He's a hateful, vindictive, self-righteous arrogant jerk who goes out of his way to shut down competition, to shut down sites that enhance Craigslist, and a hypocrite who claims to stand against corporatism while engaging in the very thing he decries

Do yourself a favor and stop posting on that site, and don't pay them a penny. Let Craigslist starve and die

As the old saying goes you get what you pay for. i had an ad flagged today for no apparent reason...nothing offensive inappropriate or illegal. That said it's ok. CL has always had a poor reputation and it's new format makes it even more irrelevant. It harder to find what you are looking for....instead of having all options visible on page you now have to drill down and the price and product so you have to go back to see the price...slows you down and makes you pass up alot...not worth the trouble...back a$$wards. Time to retire sleazy CL.

It’s mind blowing how many scams for rentals are on Craigslist. I’m not even sure there’s anything posted that isn’t a scam. Waste of time.

I found a seamstress on Craigslist by the name Elaine (Asian lady). She damaged my clothes and refused to refund me but showed unprofessional and negative attitude. She overcharges too. I hope my review will warn others.

Craigslist doesn't deserve minus 1 billion stars. They are the most corrupted site you could ever use. Their own people flag people's post all the time. They are completely prejudice site. Total discrimination going on in the site. They constantly flag post for no reason. Look them up on the better business bureau website and they have an F for a rating. They should not even be in business. They are more corrupt than the democratic party is. They got away with absolute murder. They should be shut down for good. Nothing but a bunch of crooked people. They take people's information and they sell it. They lie non-stop. There is not one thing. Good about that site. Craigslist needs to be shut down for good. They are pure evil people that run the site and own the business. They lie more than our politicians do, and they are completely completely completely discriminant business

Craigslist is trash! I've used them plenty of times in the past for posting various ads. Up until recently I will say I would never use them again. They are old and out dated!

I posted a recent ad for a Rottweiler I have. Now mind you before I go into the details I never posted any price / amount and never mentioned anything that would get the post flagged.

I posted that I was rehoming a 2 year old male Rotty and explained he was crate trained, potty trained, and etc. Well needless to say I was legit asking for a small amount for him as I did not have time to hold onto him and just truly wanted him to go to a good home and not a breeder.

Well my post constantly would get flagged for no reason. Craigslist flagging is bs! They don't verify the reason why the post is being flagged, but soon as it is flagged the post is immediately removed without question. You can't even repost you original post, you need to recreate the entire thing all over again.

Craigslist allows posts to be flagged without question and removes the persons post without even advising them the reasons why it was flagged. Basically you get these breeders on the site and see a regular guys post and they flag it as they see this as competition.

Craigslist should be checking peoples posts before being flagged down! It is truly trash when you follow there guidelines and the post is still removed over what, someone who either refuses to pay, sees your post as competition, and etc.

Terms of service say you can list a pet with a small adoption fee. However, I have posted my pets for sale and many different ways and every single one has been taken down within a few hours. I have emailed customer support three times with no response.

When trying to post an ad for offer help people with moving service for a job the ad keeps getting declined in there system and in the past have done plenty of jobs on Craigslist with the exact same ad. I been moving local and long distance mover for both residential and businesses and all my customers very satisfied. Now when I try to post with the same credit card always use, the card is automatically declined. We need work to survive and this is not right.

What good is it when you don't get a response from those selling pets?

Took my money without any explanation for refusing my paid post.

The ad for my car was posted for three hours and the 5 responses were all scams. Craigslist “customer service” was MIA. You would think that a site with more predators than buyers would feel compelled to do something about it. Hugely disappointing

Hey CRAIG! Can you stop all these losers from flagging my legit posts? How can you allow just anyone to remove my ads just because I don't want to reply to them? How about you have them provide a reason why they are doing it? Can you at least read my AD and tell my why your lame website removed it? This is not a community, this is a bunch of losers who suck at life and want the rest of us to suck too. NO, I will not rent my room to some loser with 10 dogs, no job and is getting kicked out of their current spot, and cannot provide proof of income. Come on Craig, come on.... I made a very boring, plain ad so i would not get flagged, but yup, 3 days later the same losers flagged my ad for no reason except that I would not respond to them OR they are sitting there flagging anything they don't like. REQUIRE PEOPLE TO EXPLAIN WHY THEY FLAGGED OR BLOCK THEM FROM YOUR LAME WEBSITE. This is why I stopped using this website about 10 years ago. I thought maybe things were fixed, nope....Same bunch of community losers running the website because they suck at being decent human beings. Craigslist is now officially the worst website in the world. Hey Craig, are you too rich now to pay attention!!!

I hired a mover who quoted 500 for 8 hrs truck ad helper , at the end he charged 860usd, he was disrespectful, screaming at customers me and my partner, who gave him the remain money and he took off without finishing the job he is an unbalanced man very rude and violent Moroccan " Havy" without generalizing working with a Dominican " Jorge" manipulated by the aggressive Moroccan, I hope Karma gets them! Do not hired them thru Craigslist he sell himself very good but is a sneaky, slimy, filthy tall man, dark skin you will be at risk, he has a behavior problem " bipolar" and forgot to take his pills probably. Phone number 305-6860820 do not hired him he got two hours late and talks like a maniac so his screaming I wish I would called the police he might have something dirty in his record so is the other Jorge. The main unhinged Havy move from Tampa who knows what he has on his background. He will convinced you he is a good worker until he gets the job then things want to be as he wanted. He tried to get my belongings to his hotel in Miami and store there until the next day I refused and stated my things stay in my parking lot . He got so mad!. He didn't want to give ID and doesn't want to receive checks what means he doesn't give you a receipt and he doesn't paid taxes ..DO Yourself A Favor do not hired him or called the police if he behaves erratic and aggressive!

4/3/23 I get the majority of my business from Craigslist for $5 a month unbeatable. The last great thing on the internet. I use indeed ziprecruiter monster but I find all of my jobs on Craigslist!!

Craigslist is a great place to sell or post a 'wanted' ad... Until someone 'flags' you for no reason and craigslist simply sees their flag and takes your ad down cut and dry..no reasons(s) given. They believe anyone..actually they don't believe anyone except someone hitting the 'flag' sign. It's automatic for them. Craigslist is a spineless organization that doesn't know the difference between right and wrong. They don't even follow their own guidelines about treating people fairly.

Avoid this website like the plague. In all my travels I've never known such a prehistoric cockup of a trading site that attracts every scum known to mankind. This site should be pulled from the internet.
