Order not delivered after 8 days - online it said 3-5
8 days and still waiting for the hard drive I ordered.
When I placed the order, the website stated delivery would take 3-5 working days, and it still says the same now. The only reason I ordered from you was because of that advertised timescale, as I needed it for a specific project. Unfortunately, it's now too late.
I rang on Monday and was told someone would chase it up and email me. I never received anything. I rang again yesterday, was told exactly the same, and once again I've heard nothing.
If you don't have products in stock, don't advertise delivery times that you can't meet. The lack of communication has been just as disappointing as the delay.
God knows when it's going to arrive or I will receive ay kind of communication.

Outstanding service
I have never used this company before but yesterday (a Friday) I ordered an equatorial mount for my tripod which I needed for some astrophotography I intend to do soon.
Ordering was straightforward and I chose the standard two to three working day delivery option as I was in no desperate rush.
Within a matter of a couple of hours I had received emails informing me the item ordered had been picked and dispatched to the courier and a little while later the courier informed me they had my package and would let me know when it would be delivered.
Within 24 hours from placing the order the courier contacted me to say it would be delivered today (Saturday) and it arrived safe and sound probably no more than 24 hours from placing the order !
Thank you Clifton Cameras and DPD their chosen courier for renewing my faith in customer service !
It was like a breath of fresh air !
If Clifton Cameras can do it why can't everyone else ...... and that includes the Post Office also !!

Great customer Service
I ordered a large telescope from Clifton Cameras. But it came with a minor cosmetic imperfection (probably due to shipping and handling by courier). CC were quick to respond to my concerns and followed up with the supplier, until the issue was resolved. Customer Service was great. Highly recommend CC.

I ordered a second hand Manfrotto 349 clamp from them which was less than half the price of a new one it arrived the following day well packaged and you would honestly think it was brand new not a mark on it anywhere.
I would totally recommend them thanks great service .

Excellent price and service
Having got myself into photography last year and having borrowed a 70-200mm lens I was in the market for buying my own. I found plenty online, varying in price and condition, but chose one from Clifton which was described as in mint condition and that was competitively priced. I placed my order on Saturday, received confirmation on Monday and despite not upgrading the delivery option it arrived via DPD today, Tuesday. The lens is exactly as described, appears to work fine. Very happy.

I was very pleased with Clifton Cameras' handling of my two recent orders. I had not dealt with this seller previously, but it came out top in price comparison listings for the tripod I was looking for, and had very good customer feedback, so I decided to take a chance. I was not disappointed! The tripod was dispatched immediately by DPD, packaging was excellent, and the tripod arrived in perfect condition. I quickly followed up with an order for a camera shoulder bag. This received the same excellent service as the first order. I was even given a free upgrade to Sunday delivery! Based on my experience with these orders, Clifton Cameras will be the first place I look for future photographic requirements.

Tired of big Brands over promising and under delivering, then look no further than Clifton Cameras for ALL your camera needs. Staff are friendly, helpful and often go that extra mile to ensure great Customer satisfaction and do call you back, which is nice. Always worth asking if they Price match, you never know you may just get that bargain you have been looking for. Delivery is as you expect, on time with real time tracking where applicable and always well packaged, so you know your gear will arrive safe and in pristine condition. Clifton Cameras - what a superb optical shop
I recently went in to Clifton Cameras to consider buying another piece of optical equipment. This is the second time I've done this over the last 3 years, and it is the second time that I have come away with exactly what I need, despite having gone in with other products in mind on the basis of online research.
The Clifton Cameras team not only know their optics, but they work with you to understand your needs and find the best products to meet your real requirements within the limitations of your budget. Trying similar products out is no problem and they're there to support you in deciding. There's no pressure selling, upselling or anything like that.

Very helpful on the phone on a Saturday morning to guide me through getting a discount on website and arranging Sunday delivery. Packaging was superb and DPD fully informed delivery from start to finish. Only second time I have shopped here as mainly a Leica collector - but will return for sure.

Ordered a Seestar S30 Pro Thursday evening, and paid for Saturday delivery, which still worked out cheaper than the 3-5 day delivery on some other sites.
Got tracking info Friday morning, and it turned up as expected on Saturday, well packaged.
My only niggle is that the cashback for TopCashback didn't track automatically, but hopefully that will get sorted. (Edit: I opened a claim via TopCashback and although it took a while, this was resolved)
Would use these guys again if they had what I need at a competitive price.

Item not delivered
I can't fault Clifton Cameras' service; however, during my conversation with the salesperson, they said that once the item was with the courier (DPD), it was effectively out of their hands. This simply isn't good enough. I've now wasted several hours waiting for a DPD driver who never showed up for 2 days running. This is incredibly frustrating and taints the whole transaction, not to mention creating stress.
FAO Clifton Cameras - while I appreciate that you don't have control over DPD, you do have control over which courier service you use. DPD, in my personal experience, has to be one of the worst in the UK, and I'm sure I'm not the only client affected by their ineptitude. I would strongly urge you to find a more reliable courier company that aligns with your service ethics. In the meantime please can you escalate this within DPD and ensure delivery is made.
