This is the second time we have gone to Clever Mortgages to ask them for assistance to obtain a mortgage. The first time they told us to wait until the start of a new employment three months from the date we were applying for a mortgage even though they had confirmed our suitability in our enquiry call, we spent ages filling in the application and they knew our circumstances before offering us our application appointment. This time they told us that as one of us is employed as a sub-contractor that we wouldn't be eligible for a mortgage despite the fact that they assist people who are self-employed and employment has been continuous and one year of books was previously submitted. We were previously offered a mortgage in principle via a different broker with the same circumstances and without books so I do not trust anything that Clever Mortgage says. This is also the second time that the people we have spoken too sound too inexperienced to be offering this service. I would avoid this company with at all costs.

I found this company through an online search and I have to say so glad that I did. My circumstances were not straight forward but from beginning to end they have been superb.
All the initial dealings were with Michaela and she was fantastic - she was so thorough before even submitting any mortgage applications through - she knew every detail and analysed everything to ensure we got the outcome needed. The most important thing is to be 100% honest about everything as she was able to then look for the best options.
The remaining team have then supported every step of the way through admin, constant contact with updates, contact with my solicitors and right up to the end.
Really cannot recommend this team enough - they have been superb and I am super happy with the outcome.

The app and the communication was perfect, we knew at all times where in the process our mortgage was at and although we had to change dates, this was no problem for the team at Clever Mortgages

I completed on my first home in December last year. I came to Clever Mortgages for my Mortgage and count myself lucky every day that I did. I was lucky enough to be given Karli O’Connor as my Mortgage advisor and 5 stars simply isn’t good enough. Not only was she there on hand whenever I needed but was so reassuring, incredible and very personable service and got me the best offer possible with a High Street Lender who had originally turned me down. Abby who works in the admin team definitely also deserves huge credit and a special mention who was constantly working on my case for me and nothing was ever too much. If you read this review I would ask for Karli and Abby - you won’t be disappointed! If I could give ten stars I would. Thank you both for everything!

I would like to start off by saying that Clever Mortgages are the best company I have ever had the pleasure of working with and it is due to their excellent skills and services that helped us achieve the house of our dreams this year!

We had quite a complex set of circumstances as my partner is a contractor and the situation with interest rates in the U.K. meant that securing a mortgage became more challenging than it would have been in previous years.

However, we were so lucky and privileged to work with our mortgage broker Sarah Tinkler and Gemma Marshall who both helped us secure the mortgage that we needed for our beautiful Victorian home and see us through to completion.

I can't believe that we now have the keys to our beautiful forever home, what they have helped us achieve is truly life changing and I am forever grateful for their dedication, hard work and excellent customer service.

I would also like to thank Beth Palmer and Richard Bowyer for helping us secure the best rates for our insurances and making this process much more straightforward for us, this process was very smooth and I am extremely grateful that they were able to set everything up for us in time.

Amazing team and service

We were very grateful to have been referred to Amanda Hoppe. Even tough we heard positive things about her we did not expect so much. She is professional; personable and totally flexible working in and outside the usual working hours of the day. She found us the best mortgage offer for us too. Thank you very much for everything you have done for us we are most grateful and would have no hesitation to go back to Amanda in the future when the need arises.

April did my re-mortgage for me and the process was so smooth. She and the admin team went above and beyond to ensure the process was without disruption and stress free. They also supported my initial mortgage in my property and I would not go elsewhere now. From start to finish they were informative and maintained communication with my solicitor and I. I never felt as though anything was a hassle for them. Would definitely recommend!
