I was very unsure about what to do regarding my debt, but after talking them over with clear debt and getting advise I got an iva it was very easy, and was allways someone at the end of the phone informing me what was happening. Im glad I went ahead it was a relief.

I came out of an IVA handled by clear debt in April 2014. I can honestly say that Mandy Linacre was great handling my IVA. Very professional, understanding when I was unemployed and most of all very approachable. Clear Debt Mandy is an asset to your company. Thank you so much mandy over the term that you helped me.

I like many other people was in debt and was burying my head in the sand. Until bailiffs were at the door demanding payment within 24 hrs. There was no way I could of found the amount of money they were demanding.
I looked online and found cleardebt who were so helpful, gave me good advice and Informed me on an IVA. They did all the paperwork and phone calls and more importantly kept the baliffs at bay until the IVA was approved, which was not long at all.
Cleardebt came up with a managable payment that i can afford and can now relax knowing all my debts will be cleared and I won't be afraid to open my front door anymore.

after burying my head for the last few years not opening mail or answering calls I found I had no choice but to finally sort out my finances and get myself back on track . One call from ClearDebt got things moving and started to make the future seem worthwhile . I was in a very bad state was in trouble in debt. They said bankrupty would be best for my situation, as the IVA didn't go through, not the company fault. They asked if i could pay the whole £1,200 but of course i couldn't afford this amount of money so they said i could pay £100 a month until i came up with the £1,200 so i started to pay my £100 a month with them.... Now ..... I felt they didn't help me as i was getting letters off my creditors harassing me with their money when i clearly was trying my best to do something about this .. When i phoned up clear debt to get some reassurance and to ask them wat i should do, all i had off them was ( well your not bankrupt yet so they still can sent you letters ) this was no help at all as the letters were still coning every week and making me feel scared and upset all the time .... It just made me feel they take my money every month off me and thats it! By now i was getting fed up so i went to citizen advice which is only down the road from me to get some advice off them. They made me feel so much better and advised me to cancel my clear debt and that they would go through different options with me to get this debt out of the way as soon as possible! I emailed clear debt to let them no also citizen advice informed them , i also asked if they could refund my £200 i had been saving up towards the bankruptcy, of course they couldn't do this which i felt very very disappointed in as i felt i didn't have any support off them,and the money was to save up not to pay anything. I feel they have taken my money for nothing! Im very sad for this. But also relief that citizen advice is dealing with my case now and feel a lot of stress is off my shoulders.

I originally contacted this company for an IVA, to start off they were really good kept on top of everything appreciated my working hours etc.

However, once the IVA was refused (through no fault of their own), I was offered bankruptcy. Not an option I wanted to do but I was advised it was the best solution for my situation, to which I agreed.

I managed to borrow the £1200 required and paid it in full, that was a month ago. The only time I have received any update is when I emailed them directly - no effort was made to keep me informed. The person that I am emailing is useless and only told me to fill in lots of forms, after the payment was made... obviously.

I have also just been advised that the person I am liaising with only works 9-3! Fantastic, this person is aware I work 9-5.30pm Monday to Friday, so why was this acknowledge in the beginning but now I am being told to work around this particular persons working hours. I have paid this company money to service me, and this must be done at my availability - apparently not.

I have now requested my money back so I can go else where, I feel completely let down, frustrated and worried about the future. As a newly single mum this is something I though I would receive the right help and care with, but this is not the case. My money has been taken, and no such service has been given after this point.

A further update - I have received an email back from this company after I requested for my money back, and have been told this is being looked into, that is it, no courtesy has been taken after I have paid them £1200 (which is a considerable amount of money for me). I am not confident this is being dealt with and feel I am just being fobbed off.

At the start the company was great in helping me get my DRO started and payments set up. I've recently changed my number and actually getting hold of someone to let them know and to find out the progress on my account is a nightmare! I spoke to some drongo who put me through to repossession! I said nothing about repossession! He seemed like he didn't have a clue in what he was meant to do! What do I needntk do to actually speak to someone about my own account?!? Slowly getting peeved off with the company.

I completed my IVA in June 2014 and I have now been informed that my completion certificate will not be sent through to me.
My PPI has been fully investigated with a small sum of £600.00 claimed back. RBS have now off-set this sum towards my outstanding dept.
My IVA has now been extended for a further year as I believe both the IP and RBS are at stalemate over this situation.
This means thousands of people have been left in limbo and I believe this could go on for years, no completion certificate means your credit file is shot, this in turns means you cannot get car credit, a morgage or rent a flat. People lives have been put on hold when they originally thought by taking out a PPI and completing it, you would then be able to re-build your life. I struggled to pay on my own for 5 years this dept only to find that it could be extended for an indefinate period of time. Out of frustation I have even wrote to George Osbourne pointing out that surely this is a government policy issue and that legislation should be put in place. Are people aware that by taking out an IVA this does not mean that it will be cleared after 5 years in fact from what I can gather very few now are receiving their completion certificates after this time, it is more likely to be rolled over for a possible 6,7,8 year period. Surely legally this cannot be correct, there is something seriously wrong somewhere.

I have found clear debt to be very friendly and helpful they put you at ease so you dont feel like your world is falling apart around you with nothing you can do

For a few years I tried everything I could to try to make a small dent in my debt's but they just seemed to get bigger and the letter's through the door were coming faster and faster. I contacted my creditor's and because I didn't understand the law's on debt recovery after hanging up the phone I was paying out more and reducing the debt less, it really did seem hopeless. I came across ClearDebt by chance and after a 20min telephone call I felt a big weight off my shoulder's and within 3 weeks they had arranged an agreed debt repayment plan and now I cannot believe that I didn't seek help sooner and buried my head for so long as I needed help but to be very HONEST I didn't believe that there were company's out there that could be so helpful. Cleardebt did everything they said on time and to the letter and the after care was amazing. When I read reviews I always wonder.. well believe me it will be the best call you make and like me after the call you will get the best night's sleep ever !

After getting it to a lot of debt, with different company's i couldn't find a way out to pay everyone, i had bailiffs knocking at my door. I saw clear debt advertising on the telly. I phoned just asking for advice not realising they would help right from the very first phone call... they advice me what to say to the bailiffs.. They kept me up to date with everything they where doing for me. I now pay a small amount every month and don't have to worry about bailiffs calling at my door... THANK YOU CLEAR DEBT

I would suggest this company to anyone needed lots or little help with financial difficulties they are brilliant at helping you to overcome your problem in a controlled and helpful amber never questioning you or making you feel bad. I rang them after an awful experience with a bailiff and was in a complete state crying down the phone they were brilliant calmed me down put my mind at ease and started the ball rolling and they handled everything from that moment onwards just brilliant.

Made me feel completely at ease while talking about my situation, completely understanding i have now sorted all my debts thanks to clear debts help, i would recommend them to anyone.
