My wife and I booked an eight days Huangshan trip with China Odyssey Tours. Our agent Susan was very thorough and she responded to our emails quickly. They tried their best to make sure that their customers have safe and enjoyable traveling experiences. My wife fell and injured herself during a hike, and Susan called to make sure that everything was fine. Our guide Jack was friendly and knowledgeable. Our tour was very well planned. The price quoted was very reasonable also. I would not think twice to use their services again next time I travel to China. Highly recommended.

On very short notice, Roger of Odyssey tour managed to arrange for me and business partner an one day tour to the Stone Forest and the Birds and Flower market for Kunming.

Odyssey Tours arranged for a two week tour of China for myself and my wife. We found the arrangements excellent. They suggested the itinerary and arranged for transportation, guides and hotels. Very patient trip adviser Susan who helped me to form the itinerary. All tour guides are good and hotels are comfortable and I even rated extravagant for a couple of them. Price is on the high side but acceptable because it was a private tour.

We just got back from our vacation this week on Monday 11/27/17. Not ready to be back but we have come to reality life now. The trip that we had was amazing. Thanks to Odyssey Tours for their detail to attention of their work.

We had a private tour guide and private tour driver in China ( 3 cities that we visited was Beijing, Xian and Hongkong).

We had the best experience with all tour guides and our drivers.

The cars were very clean. They were on time to picked us up, we never had to worry about them being late or looking for them. They are there already waiting for us! VIP!!! Yes we feel like that  in this trip.

The guides waited for us with our names and we are there immediately in our hotel at no time! I usually get nervous when I can’t speak the native language, but our guides were there the whole time with us when we needed them.

Our drivers were amazing. Services above and beyond which we are very thankful and enjoying our vacation very much.

Thank you for all your help in organizing this amazing tour. The trip was perfect. The hotels were amazing, we especially enjoyed our hotel at Intercontinental in Hong Kong. We have the best spectacular view of the Harbor!

The guides was amazing especially in Xian location – Ms. Betty.

The driver was amazing especially in Beijing – Mr. Tai.

Only one thing which it was shopping and visiting to Jade, Silk, Pearl and Tea store/factory which we’ve chosen and to be included in our tour but we feel like these activities are tourist trap. It was great learning experience for us but we definitely will skip these activities going forward.

Among 4 guides we had in four different places, one of them (at Huagshan mountains) was not knowledgeable and showed very little interest in his job. Other three guides were really good.

We had a great holiday and were really looked after. The guides were fantastic and knew there stuff. We were given bottles of water every morning when we were collected by our guide and driver. The hotels were all 4.5 stars and were very luxurious.
Would recomend them to anyone also thinking on using them on our trip to India.

Wonderful Private Tailor made Tour of China & Tibet with small group of friends ( total 6 people/ 3 couples)

Every thing was Excellent!
Highly recommend China Odyssey Tours!

The staff on the ground in India with a couple of exceptions were excellent.
They were all courteous , friendly and responsive. Two issues, English spoken by guides was poor and one driver kept coughing and spitting out the door,
First hotel was excellent others were a little tired all are under renovation or planned renovation. All of the staff in all the hotels were great.
Food was great everywhere we went. Some of the best I have had.
The tired Hotels were not a big issue as they were clean and staff great. Spoken English of the guides was a bigger issue.
I would highly recommend Odyssey Tours. Our consultant, Roger , Is exceptional. Used them also for a trip to China and would use them again.

By far the most well put together package I have ever purchased in my entire life,! From the planning stage with Roger through the tours with Lilli and Betty to the professional drivers I was amazed at how well it all went I would never go back without using them all , Great job!!

My husband and I have just returned home this morning from a seven day tour through China with Odyssey. I initially reached out to multiple tour companies, but after reading numerous reviews and corresponding via email, I felt most comfortable with choosing China Odyssey Tours. Our travel consultant Mr. Reinself Wei is amazing! He always answered my questions thoroughly and quickly. I never had to wait longer than 12 hours for a response. He even called me from China so I could speak in person with him. I went online and chose three destinations and all the attractions I wanted to do in each city. Mr. Reinself Wei then made several itineraries including other popular attractions from which I selected my favorite one. I also had the pleasure of meeting him in person and visiting their office in Guilin, China during my stay.

I started out in Guilin, followed with Xi'an, and ended my trip in Beijing. I read many reviews from other travel companies which talked about horrors of bad drivers requesting a certain amount of tip before the driver would take them future. I had also heard of tours stopping at many places not on the itinerary so that the tourist would spend money at these shops. I voiced my concerns to Mr. Reinself Wei and he reiterated that this would not and does not happen with Odyssey. I was skeptical, but the trip was perfect. I had and driver and a tour guide for each city and they stayed with me the entire day until I was dropped off at the hotel each night and then picked up each morning. Great communication and I always knew the plan. The tour guides escorted me to everything including to the line for the train and airport. The new guide greeted me as I arrived to each new city. They came up to me before I even looked around for them. The best thing about hiring Odyssey was that it was stress-free and I didn't need to worry about anything.

Guilin
Tour guide Mr. Henry Li was very punctual and offered dining suggestions in Guilin. We had a very long day and a few extra hours before an evening show, so he offered suggestions for other things to do. I ended up getting a massage! I liked that Henry listened to what we wanted and then made it happen.

Unfortunately, I can not remember the name of the driver, but he was amazing! The vehicle was spotless and smoke-free (which I didn't think was possible). Each morning, I saw him wiping down the vehicle and cleaning it in preparation for our day.

Xi'an
Tour guide Mr. Brian Yuan is knowledgable and really enjoys showing the foreigner around. He is a wealth of information on his city and was able to answer all of my many questions when it came to all of China's dynasties. He was very personable and genuine.

Beijing
Tour guide Mr. Jack Xu stood out. He was incredibly knowledgable. From the moment we were picked up from the train station, he welcomed us and then went into China's history. I learned an incredible amount from him. He was also flexible. We wanted to go shopping before our night show and although there were only 45 minutes, he lead us to the nearest shopping market (Pearl Market) and granted us our shopping desire. Only wish we knew about this market prior because I would of put two hours of shopping here in our itinerary.

Fantastic month long china trip with these guys. Guides were fab and we were well looked after. When we did have a problem it was dealt with quickly and effectively. Would definitely recommend booking with them. Booking was easy and communication was great (thank you Roger)

First I would like to say that I have not been on our trip to China yet as we had to delay it, and that is the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars. I have been emailing Karen Yang and she has done everything I have asked. I have been very happy with her service and nothing is too much trouble for her. She has spent a lot of time working out a plan for us, even though we have not booked yet. As soon as I can work out a time that is suitable for us to go to China, I will be contacting Karen again to book it for us.

This was the first time that my husband and I used China Odyssey Tours and Susan Su and they did not disappoint!! Susan helped us book our entire itinerary for seven days which included three cities with all first-class hotels, meals, transfer accommodations, private tour guides and drivers. Susan made sure from the beginning that we had all the information that we needed for visiting China including visa applications, vaccinations, travel tips, etc. She was very patient and knowledgeable with every question and concern that both my husband and I had. Susan always responded promptly (within 24hrs). We also really appreciated her call to us while in China to make sure that our trip was going well. It's the little details like that that really make a difference.

We definitely want to call out all our guides and drivers in each city!! They were all excellent and should be so proud of the work that they do!! We could have never made it through China without them. In Beijing we had Tracy and Mr. Guan who were both so refreshing and outgoing!! Words cannot describe how wonderful they both are!! In Xian we had Wei and Master Lee. Wei's knowledge of history and insight of Xian were amazing!! In Shanghai we were met with Emily and Mr. Ding. Emily was energetic, knowledgeable and so easy to spend the day with. All three drivers didn't speak much English, but they always greeted us promptly with smiles and hellos. Also, their driving skills were fantastic and we felt extremely safe with them all behind the wheel.

We could not be any happier with the choice we made in picking China Odyssey Tours for our very first trip to China. All guides and their drivers should be commended for their excellence. They have provided us with beautiful memories that will last us a lifetime. China Odyssey Tours is truly blessed to have such highly competent, loyal, and dedicated employees who represent their company and country with such grace and dignity.

We cannot wait to visit again and when we do we will only book through China Odyssey Tours!!

We are excited to be visiting China in October this year. We contacted quite a number of different travel agencies to assist us in putting together a tailor made itinerary. Roger Lee from China Odyssey Tours stood out from all the others. His responses were very fast (within 24 hours), his recommendations and advice were very helpful (Roger was very knowlegable about all the sights we were interested in), he listened to our requirements (unlike others who wanted to just provide the standard tour!), and he was very patient with all our constant changes/amendments. I would thoroughly recommend Roger to anyone wanting a tailor made tour of China.

I only established an itinerary but Roger was very accommodating to meet our needs as we wanted to do more local, less touristy things. I have to wait until next year to go but Roger will be my lead.

China Odyssey Tour Company

Our journey began in Beijing where we were met by Sisi Shen. She was there waiting for us when we exited the security checkpoint at the airport. As she introduced her self, we were warmly greeted. To say that she was delightful, knowledgeable, caring and endearing, is an understatement. In conversation, during our drive to the hotel, she learned that I shared her parents birth year, we immediately became family members. Since her parents lived far away, she called me mom, and I couldn't have been more flattered as she could easily have been my middle daughter. She cared for us as if we were her parents frequently haggling over the price with vendors on our behalf. She made reservations for both the Kung Fu show and the Acrobatic show purchased the tickets and personally accompanied us to our seats. When the end of the performance, she was there to see us out of the theater. In my humble opinion both performances are worth seeing. When we left Beijing, she assisted with the check in process, waiting until after we went through security, and only than did she wave a final goodbye and left the airport. She will always be linked to our experience in Beijing. She is an exceptional tour guide. I simply cannot say enough and am at a loss of descriptive adjectives.

Our next destination was Xian where we were greeted by our local guide Nancy Songjing. All of the guides in the various locations provided by China Odyssey Tours were excellent but some were exceptional. Nancy is exceptionally knowledgeable about the history and details of all the sites we visited. She was very patient, always courteous and pleasant and caring.

Nancy brought us to see the ceramic factory so that we could experience the ancient process of how these soldiers were constructed. It was truly a learning experience. The factory houses numerous handmade articles including incredible hand made furniture inlaid with semi precious stones. Everything here is eye candy! Our tour guide Nancy was fenomenale as she bartered on our behalf for a better price on the different items.

A trip to Xian would not have been complete without the Tang Dynasty Show and Dumpling Dinner. This was not included in the itenerary but Nancy seemlessly made the reservations, making sure we had amazing seats. Once again arguing with the staff to get us front raw balcony seats and leaving only when we were seated. Who does that? Finally, she told us not to leave our seats until she came to get us. We were literally treated like royalty. Finally, Nancy is not only knowledgeable in the history and culture of the area demonstrating excellent language skills but she also demonstrated amazing quick reflexes and dexterity. While leaving the theater, I missed a step and was about to fall face flat when Nancy caught me in mid-air. What can I say? She was my guardian angel.

Who can forget Sherry in Guilin. Again a superb guide. She took us bicycle riding throughout the rise paddies, we saw a photo shoot of a bride, and we encountered a local woman selling freshly picked flowers woven into a headband. Who can forget the magnificent boat ride and the incredible evening show on the water.? This is a must see performance which enacts the struggles and triumphs of the local villagers and includes over 600 actors. This production was choreographed and directed by the same master who did the opening and closing exercises the year China hosted the Olympics. Again our guide made reservations for this event, purchased our tickets, accompanied us to our seats and was there when the performance ended to lead the way out of the opened theater. Our only regret in Guilin is not being able to meet our exceptional travel consultant Reinself Wei who so diligently organized this amazing trip. However, we were made aware that he was busy rescheduling other travelers air and hotel stay. The day before our arrival, Guilin experienced heavy rainfall and many flights had been delayed or cancelled. As result, Mr. Wei being conscientious about his work and responsibilities to all travelers was very busy rescheduling flights and hotel stays. My husband and I know that he made every effort to meet us. It just wasn't met to be this time.

We will never forget Jackson in Shangri-la. If we could have adopted him we would have brought him home with us. His spirituality and enthusiasm are infectious! He too went the extra mile on numerous occasions saving us much stress and anxiety. As we were exiting the airport, my husband and I realized that we had left a painting on the airplane. Airport policy everywhere does not allow passengers back on the plane once they have cleared customs. Jackson, ran back into the airport with my husband trailing behind, while I waited in the car with the driver. After not seeing either come out I was on the verge of tears, thinking we will never see the painting again, when both emerged carrying the rolled up painting. Jackson, our guide, had a friend who worked in security and had clearance to go on board and retrieve the article. Again another guardian angel looking after us. We are now in day nine of the 20 day journey and my husband has exhausted his entire storage space on his cell phone. He had taken ninety odd videos and over 3000 photos. Once again Jackson came to our rescue! He is so personable and likable it is easy to see why he has friends everywhere. He took it upon himself to download all of the videos and photos from my husband's cell phone onto a thumb drive that we had brought with us. Given that the computer he was working on was somewhat slow, he was up until 1:00AM downloading these pictures. In addition, he was unable to put them all on the thumb drive we gave him because it did not have enough storage space so he went out and purchased another thumb drive to download the videos. Of course we reimbursed him for the cost. However, who does that? Only someone who is truly dedicated and love their job. This is definitely going above and beyond the call of duty! Needless to say, we fell in love with Jackson and hated saying goodbye!

We could go on and on but it is too lengthy and I am afraid that if I add more most readers will likely lose interest.
