Went to the dealership to look at a convertible vw Beetle.Took it for a test run and liked it, so I spoke with the sales rep William Crawford and told him we liked the car. I asked him to have the vehicle valeted and he said he would arrange it and he would contact me as soon as it was done. This didn't happen
I arranged to call the following day with a view to a possible deal and left.
I got an email later saying sorry but the car had been sold.
This is totally unacceptable behaviour.
I should have at least had a phone call and given the chance to follow up on the purchase.
I feel it was because I wasn't going to take out finance, therefore no commission for the seller.
I have previously bought at least four V W's from Agnews over the years as has my daughter, and was always treated well and never had an issue like this before.

Had to report these guys to the financial ombudsman service as my experience was so bad with them. Please avoid - go to a reputable car dealer. All you have to do is look at how many 1 star reviews people have made on this site. Shocking and embarrassing.

I bought a car from Charles Hurst in Belfast from Ross. The car was ok, but there was a problem after collecting it from their garage reference certain parts that weren't correct. not happy not sorted.

I am satisfied with the quality and quick service, the car was repaired because it runs much better, the only minus is that I did not receive any confirmation of what work was done, what parts were replaced, apart from that everything was perfect, that's why I give it 4 and not 5 stars.
Having spent days looking at car sales websites, I decided to try Chales Hurst in Boucher Road. their used car section.
There were a lot of cars in my price range, so I asked to see a salesman. I was met by Jim Robinson and he was great.
I had specific needs from a car, and some concerns, he patiently talked me through them. The car he showed me, I took for a test drive then bought it. Very pleased.
I traded in my old car and got what it was worth, the paperwork was easy and he patiently and kindly talked me through all the options on purchase and warranty.
All in All it was a good experience and it was reassuring dealing with a professional who was so friendly.

Once the paperwork was signed to buy the car they couldn’t care less.
We bought a 2022 Corsa electric from Charles Hurst Vauxhall, Portadown on February 14th. When we bought the car they said that they had the spare key on site but were unable to locate it. I was told that I would be called back on a specific day to let me know if they had found it. If not they would arrange a replacement. I received no call so I chased again and was told the same thing; they would try to locate the key and call me back. Needless to say they never called. The only time I ever heard anything was when I chased them.
Eventually after chasing multiple times they used a third party to source a replacement key. We waited a considerable period of time for this to happen and the key that was supplied wasn’t even a genuine Vauxhall key and did not work properly. Over 2 and half months later we are still chasing, trying to get a genuine working Vauxhall key to replace the key that Charles Hurst said that they lost. Still having the same issue; being told that we would get a call back and never receiving it.
I am completely convinced now that from the start they never actually had the spare key and were hoping that we would just forget about it and go away, but they have definitely picked the wrong people!
Aside from this issue I had to eventually raise a dispute with my card provider to get the £200 deposit back that we had paid to hold the car, despite being told that it would be refunded the day we picked up the car. There is also damage to one of the wheel covers on the car which when raised multiple times the salesman has told me he would source a replacement but just like the spare key he has never followed through on that or come back to me at all..

So Charles Hurst think it is OK to send a cut and paste reply to my review and put it back on me? They have my number if they have any interest in resolving this. Only 87 days now to wait for the diagnostics appointment. Car remains unusable.

Charles hurst Boucher sold a faulty car and would not stand over the warranty. The service & aftercare was pathetic from the start. I was misled when purchasing the car about the milage allowance within my agreement and the extended warranty which was paid for was not worth the paper it was written on. My car was away numerous times with promises it would be fixed which it wasn’t and thereafter was ghosted until the car was out of warranty and then palmed off when the said it’s not their responsibility anymore. Left now with a car too dangerous to drive but a car that I can’t get rid of due to the faults which even an independent mechanic cannot find. Left in a horrific position but the matter was treated with arrogance when I visited. Avoid at all costs.

I do not recommend this company to anyone, because the customer is seen as something to be milked. Selling an apparently good-looking car with scrap tyres because it still fits the requirements described by law, or raising the agreed monthly installment in the contract by even just a few pounds, is not a virtue worth recommending.

Hi i purchased a ferrari f430 from the charles hurst Ferrari dealership in 2017. The sales people involved Rory and Cahal. The previous owner of my vehicle was the one of the directors of charles hurst ferrari.
The mileage on the sales invoice 2017 recorded by cahal was 28500. The mot certificate 2017 recorded by their trained technician was 28534 a week later.
From delivery the car relentlessly broke down despite its 180 point inspection!! And we are talking about major components failing within hours of delivery.
The main problem arose when later looking through the history of the vehicle the MOT certificate for 2016 recorded a higher mileage than 2017.Showing the cars mileage had gone backwards!!!!
I pointed this out to ferrrai in 2020 I was bullied and threatened with legal action by the dealership.
I took my claim to the motor ombudsman and won the judgment in April 2024 against the dealership.
The ombudsman has ordered 1. correct the mileage on the MOT certificate 2. Correct the sales invoice 3. Issue a letter of apology.
The Ombudsman ruled that the discrepancy is down to human error. It also possible the M..D drove this car in reverse gear for a year!!!
If it was a simple case of removing the discrepancy from the cars record, why did Ferrari or the dealership not just fix this in 2020 why have I been left to fight for justice.
The belfast telegraph has ran the story in its paper under charles Hurst Ferrari.
The brand does not live up to the dream that Enzo started.
I don’t know what I have done wrong to deserve such treatment and not be valued as a customer.
In my opinion buy a Lamborghini from a dealership that respects its legacy.

The vehicle was covered in streak marks from using dirty cloths to clean the vehicle. It has scratch marks from using a rough brush to clean the outside of the car. The passenger and bavk passenger windows do not open from their switches on the doors and instead only work from the main switches on the drivers side door. Told i would have a full tank of fuel as part of the deal. They then told me when i picked it up they can only put 20 Litres in as per policy.... this was less than half.

My experience of Charles Hurst boucher road was a very enjoyable experience from start to end, usually I would get nervous and unsure if im doing the right thing but this time Eoin McAllister who I dealt with made me very relaxed and explained every aspect of the sale, plus I put a small deposit down and they were able to hold the car until I was ready to complete the sale, also trading in my car with them was effortless. I would highly recommend Charles Hurst as professional, friendly, approachable and nothing is too much trouble for them. Thankyou

Bought a car from these COWBOYS 22/02)24 and I within a couple of days it wasn't working ( a lot of things wrong with it) brought it back and was told they would have it sorted, two weeks and a lot of phone calls later I got the car back and was assured the car only needed a new battery. I took the car and within a mile, it all went wrong again. Jim the manager also told me the day before I got the car that he drove it home and it went like a dream. DEFINITELY NOT THE TRUTH as it was more like a nightmare. I paid a £2000. Deposit and four weeks later I'm still waiting on it to be returned. I have been in contact with trading standard's and they have told me to keep a paper trail and they will be pursuing it. My advice to anyone buying a new car USE SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Recently purchased a new Grandland from Charles Hurst Vauxhall, well impressed with the vehicle and the quality of service, sales executive excelled himself with this sale
we bought a Range Rover in Sept 23 and last week one of the 2 keys stopped working. We phoned up JLR service team and asked if they could change the phone battery but were advised that we should actually book a proper investigation with them, but the first availability was mid June!! (2024 not 2025 to be fair!!!). Of course this is crazy from a number of dimensions, but anyway, I drove down to Halfords, they put a new battery in the key and everything is now working fine (of course). Cost £1.85. Again, shocking.
