Genuinely the worst experience I've ever had dealing with a company, no lie, no exaggeration. Hadn't heard from them or designated "case handler in 4 and half months only to get an email asking me to provide proof of claim etc.... The email he sent me was a direct reply to my email to him, containing all those attachments. No mention, what we're actually waiting for is an amendment to the medical reports.... which has not been addressed, at all.
No department knows the numbers for the other departments and no one will call you back. Did speak to a very helpful customer service person today who was very helpful, apparently all the evidence had been logged but no one notified about it.

Only giving 1 star as cant rate them minus zero! Started my claim in August 2021. Still waiting for an outcome. Gave all the medical records required. Still nothing. My children received their payouts, yet nothing on my claim. In February 2023 they said they submitted my medical report to the 3rd party and should take 5 days for the reply...4 months later I am still waiting with no communications from them

Hastings insurance only use carpenters for injury claims and they are useless. They will hound you at first then you don’t hear anything it’s months and years between communications It has be 4 years before I get settlement of my non fault accident wish I’d looked into this before taking insurance with Hastings - avoid both companies 4 hours of waiting on the phone to get to speak to my case handler only to be cut of before anyone answered 100 of emails with no reply years between appointments to get assessed 4 different case works and now they are running out of time forcing me to take a low offer that will not cover my treatment I had a 5 min appointment 3 years after my accident at a cost of 600 pound plus vat for a report that say my injury should only last 8 months but 4 years down the line I walk with a limp and still in great deal of pain that I must be lieing about but still sent me for a scan over a year after the accident why now they are running out of time I have 3 options take the low offer and shut up pay 1200 pound plus vat for another report which the court will not look at drop the case and get nothing and be sued for the costed which at their rates is going to cost alot more than I was getting and this is a company thats is ment to be representing my best interests

Had an accident in July of 2021 where me and my young brother of 15 was in the car and another car had smashed into us from behind and we had then smashed into another car infront of us it wasnt very pleasant , anyway the case was taken on by Simon At Carpenters Within Glasgow and he handled it with professionalism from start to finish , the appointments with doctors specialists all done properly, and my young brothers claim was paid in june 2022 and they managed to claim £8000 on his behalf , then i had my claim paid out in july 2022 in an amount of £5,285 . I cant thank simon enough for keeping me upto speed and upto date on things as it happened , i will forever be greatful for his dilligance and hard work over the space of a year . Many thanks to carpenters as a company as well you have a real diamond in Simon . Many thanks again wouldnt hesitate to use them again in the future and would definitely Recommend for anyone out there .

had an accident in a friends car as a passenger these fools handled the case for injury etc, and we ended up paying 12k in court fees etc. please please don't follow there lead they are really bad terrible useless even, had there name taken off the case so we couldn't use it against them, misleading horrid unprofessional company insist that you use someone else, don't go through the same as us.

AVOID AT ALL COST - my review is recent and still shows they are not fit to operate .

Non fault accident , the initial call handler promises you all will be handled by them and stage by stage they will guide you .
As soon as all details passed over the next day I get an email you have been booked with a doctor for review and another for a physio therapy , this is all without knowing what my concerns are.
The case handler and his team are never reachable and the call centre has to always take the brunt end.

The firm operates like a call centre and no then team dealing with the case never answer and justness treat you like another file.

There is no personal touch to the handling and poor service. I had to cancel the appointments myself and sent in my form to withdraw representation by the company however they was still sending me emails , this shows they are not the correct people to deal with claims.

I had a car accident 2018 had legal cover had 15 months off work and a operation.
I had 3 years to claim personal injury yet Hastings and Carpenters Solicitors. Didn’t take my case to court they couldn’t guarantee a 51% win so they dropped me.1 year later they want me to go to court to help them retrieve there money from 3rd party showing that they was at fault. 🤷‍♂️ If I don’t help them the non fault accident becomes my fault.don’t get insurance with them go elsewhere.

Had a lovely lady rear end me back in November 2021, the insurance company assigned was Carpenters & Co to handle a personal injury claim. To start with it was all enthusiastic couldn't do enough to assist, after the physio and phone consultations stopped i heard nothing for several months, i decided to call the office and found out my physio report had not even been action-ed 3 weeks after the sessions had ended as the team member who deals with this paperwork had gone away for a holiday. move forward 4 weeks i received my offer letter which i accepted and was informed i would receive my payment for the stated amount within 4 to 6 weeks. 4 weeks later 23rd July 2022 i received my check which to my confusion was £290 less than the offer stated within the letter that i had signed, I called the office and spoke to one of the team who told me the shortfall is the physio treatment deduction! this is not stated anywhere in the letters or offer letter i have signed, the lady who took the call was quite abrupt in telling me that info over and over.
I never do insurance claims but this accident really knocked me for 6 so i decided to proceed, if i can give anyone any advice please please please refuse any interaction from this company. The other reviews on this site are 100% accurate...never call back, have little contact on their part with updates & YOU have to constantly chase for info and if you get a offer YOU have to pay out of your settlement figure any treatment costs that occur which will never be disclosed.......Absolute joke of a company....still waiting my call back.

1* because 0* is not an option - Personal injury claim following a car accident. We were directed to Carpenters by our insurers. Truly wish we had gone elsewhere. The car has been repaired and that was dealt with smoothly and efficiently by our insurers and Saga for the driver who caused the accident. The personal injury claim has been going on for almost a year and we have had zero contact from Carpenters since January. I have rung repeatedly and never get any answer the phone just rings and rings and then rings out. The emails I have sent on a monthly basis since January asking for an update have gone unanswered - other than 2 separate occasions when an automated reply advising that my contact was on leave have been received. I do not understand how an organisation can continue to stay in business by treating their clients so badly.

I'm only marking as 1 star as there is no option for 0. My non fault car accident was January 2022. The other party has admitted full liability. Carpenters were appointed by Royal Sun Alliance, insurers of my Motability Car. At first they were very attentive and in contact frequently. My original claim handler was replaced and the new one made contact at the start of April. She needed to read and review the documents and would be in contact within 7 days. Here we are almost 2 months later and not a word. I've emailed, messaged via my claim app and now on here. AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE!

I had no choice in using this company - my insurance company, Aviva. appointed them. Shame on them! I had a no fault car accident in October 2021 - I have called them, emailed them, raised a complaint (which their Customer Resolutions Adviser responded to a month ago saying:
'I’ve raised the below onto your file handler to review and make contact with you in due course.
I’ve also brought the below to their manager’s attention.) I've heard nothing since!! How long is 'due course'?!
Utterly ridiculous - if I dealt with my customers in this way I'd have none left!
This is a straightforward case - god help anyone who has a difficult one they need help with, as you won't get it from this lot!

My accident was in August 2019, my claim has been settled but still waiting on my son and daughter's. My son could do with his settlement as he's a student and wants to buy a car.

I have been told it would go to court the end of April so I'm currently waiting for someone to answer the phone to provide an update.

I have to move house soon so need to inform them but emails go ignored. Avoid Avoid Avoid !!!

Beware, if this Company is your legal representative in a car accident claim that's not your fault then expect little or no correspondence from them. My accident was back in June 21 and I'm still waiting an outcome. They never keep you in informed of any progress if there is any and you have to constantly chase them for updates. So, you have been warned.
