I was worried about ordering as there were a number of concerning reviews, but there were enough positive reviews for me to take a chance (though I paid with PayPal to cover myself, just in case).
Everything was great, I can't fault them. I recieved a despatched notification the day after I ordered, three days later my order was delivered by Royal Mail (ordered on the 10th August, delivered on the 14th).
I had ordered two medium sized candles and two reed diffusers. Everything in the order was correct, and packaged well to avoid damage.

DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL'S AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER
They have taken my money for a order and not confirmed the order so not sure if and when i may receive .
Have sent 10 emails and they cannot be bothered in replying
This is not the first time this has happened so will never order from them again

This company owes me £63.88p since 2/05/23. I made a order + cancelled it with in 10/12mins of making it. I was told, with in that time parcel was on its was. I sent it straight back on 2/5/23 + I'm still waiting for my hard working money back!! Now they have £63.88p worth of unwanted plug in fragrance + I have nothing. I just want my money back. I've sent email other email + they ignore me! I also have proof of my return. Please guys keep all Yr paper work! I believe this cld be a scam!!!

an absolutely terrible company and never reply to emails.
The so called sale events are the exact same prices,all year round.
My biggest issue with this company is they are the main distributor for goose creek uk and they maybe stock up once a year,if that.
They really dont care anyway what people think and thats why they ignore emails

Very poor service, cancelled my orders after 3 days twice.

Really quick dispatch on my order and impressed with the way the jars were packed when I received them. Always used to use Yankee Candles but they are not that good anymore so I thought I would try Village Candles instead. So far so good and I’d definitely use Candles Direct again.

I have to admit this, I placed an order and then read the reviews. Abit of panic as I thought "oh no".
However, I put doubt aside and I'm glad I did. Super fast delivery, reasonable prices and products are brilliant. Each candle was wrapped to an inch of its life so nothing got broken in transit. Thank you Candles Direct for a swift, easy and straightforward transaction.
Ordered Sunday and was on my doorstep Wednesday dinner time from Belfast.

Ordered some candles for my family who live in Italy. I had ordered about 10 candles but two arrived damaged. From what my family said they could have been packed better. Candles Direct were quick to send replacements and they arrived fine. I would order from them again.

Poor Customer Service!!

Have emailed them twice about missing items from my order; CDS169767. To-date, no response. It appears they don’t like phone calls because they don’t publish any numbers where customers can contact them with queries.

They’re quick to take money from people’s account but when there are problems, they’re mute. Have learned my lesson; I will not purchase from this company again.

Now I have to chase them for a refund. The cheek of them, very unprofessional.

I wouldn’t recommend Candles Direct

Ordered two large Yankee candles in the sale. They were despatched very quickly and arrived a few days later by Parcel Force. Well packaged too. Absolutely no problems with this company b

After seeing some of the reviews on here, I was sceptical about ordering from this site but I took the risk, knowing I’d be able to make a claim through PayPal if there were any issues. My risk paid off and the candles arrived in just 4 days! Really great products and communication on dispatch.

Candles arrived well packaged, promptly and were very reasonably priced.

Overpriced and took them 8 days before they bothered to send it once I had the tracking number and was able to trace it back.
Tried to get in touch with them over their contact email after 5 days because they made me pay for tracked 48 postage but Royal Mail were on strike so I expected a delay.

They never replied. It cost me £28.99 in total for a candle that to be perfectly honest is a Woodwick candle that you can find on Amazon for £10 LESS and next day delivery if you’re a Prime member (not promoting Amazon)

Two Yankee candles ordered, supposed to be 75 hours burn time but after just eight hours it’s half way gone and you can only smell it if you are riight next to it

They are amazing. Great prices, and although delivery may take a little longer than normal it's totally worth it. They come well packaged and they have a really good range of branded candles. My favourites are candleberry and goose creek.

Order dispatched more than a week ago, despite a request to cancel it. Item has not arrived, and four emails to customer service have been completely ignored. No telephone contact is available. Absolutely appalling service.

Have been buying from Candles Direct for many years and never had an issue. Fantastic range to choose from at great prices. Delivery is also super fast. Would highly recommend:)

Received the wrong item, no response from the support for more than a month. Obviously, the item i got is cheaper than the one ordered.

Really disappointed as I emailed them to cancel my order within a few hours of ordering. They reply back after 2 days saying its too late and if I want a refund let them know. Now I replied back but getting postmaster delivery failure as this email address won't accept my emails! What a con!
