I was called by someone out of the blue and she said we have your CV and I am looking for work. she advised me to do a course in Level 3 in teaching and learning and said that I will be having a free course about autism and she said do you want work with me. I had a very low time at the time because it was just before the second lockdown of the UK. Just before I finish my course i got an email from them that they closing down and i have passed all of courses. when i got my certificate it says it is replacement which did not set right with me.

They promised me a package deal of 3 courses for the price of 1, they told me how "all of this would cost over £700, but now it ONLY costs £450 and you have a year to finish it". In reality I made full payment in 3 months and I never heard of them again. I still have time left from my year to finish the course, but they disappeared from the face of the Earth. I cannot call them, they are not responding to my emails, and their website is inaccessible - I'm not even joking, there is NOTHING on the website other than a caption that ironically says "It Works!". It does absolutely not.
They are prying on poor and desperate people's money. And doing this right after the pandemic when people try to recover from their emotional and financial traumas is plain disgusting.

I would give this company 0, I gave them 1 just so I can write a review. Avoid at all costs, they are grifters, just after your money. They were very persistent, calling everyday, spoke to a guy who said are you worried that you can’t afford it, I said yes, then conned me into a payment plan, even though he knew I couldn’t afford the course which was £300.00. After 2 days I decided I wanted to cancel but they already sent the email with the login, however I never logged into the portal site. I rang to cancel and they said I forfeited my right to cancel, When the guy that rang was going over the term and conditions he never said that I could get the course after 14 days, he said do you want the course now and I said yes. Very Grifty, then they rang 1 month later saying oh it would be best if you pay for your certificate now otherwise the price may go up, paid £50.00 but they took it twice. Pure greed, disgusting company.

I dont know who you're likely to believe as this company most likely paid whoever wrote anything good about them. They are fraudsters who took money from me and kept trying to take more and more. I tell not a word of a lie IF you agree to receive course modules by email YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR MONEY BACK just like me but go ahead believe who you want.

My main concern was the support I would receive whilst doing an online course however I feel that it was absolutely amazing!

Wasn't expecting such a good service and careers advice. Especially with all the other reviews (which i believe people are just not wanting to open their eyes and admit where they are going wrong)

Was applying for Teaching assistant roles as my employer of 13 years had to let me go due to funding in the school.
I received a call after registering onto different jobsites.
The man who spoke to me informed me it was about my career in teaching. We had a conversation which lasted about 30minutes. The convo made me realise why i've not been having responses from the applications ive sent to schools.
He recommended me to complete some courses (at a cost) which i've completed after 6months
He also formatted my CV so i can start having more luck with my applications(which i didnt know needed doing as i've been in employment for over10years prior to this)
We went through interview practice aswell which i definitly needed as i've not had any interviews for a long time.
After 1 months of completing the courses i found my self back in a permanant Teaching assistant role, with a higher salary than i was on before. (just in time before the covid lockdown)

Have recommended Careers Advice and Learning Centre to my old colleagues and also my new ones as i've had a good experience :)

Only downside was that the original call was on private, but once i asked them to call not on private, they didnt call on private again.

My dispute was fairly resolved. I am very satisfied with the outcome.

They claimed to provide a Cache Level 3 course and I just found out that the overall body qualhub told me that this centre didn't register me as their learner. I reported them to Citizen Advice Buero and to action.fraud.police.uk

I would give 0 stars if there was a choice.
I had the first one phone me saying that my CV was great and the only thing holding me back was my lack of SEN training. He said I could get that for £150.
I told him I didn't have that money, and he kept saying "Don't worry about the money, It's a good idea, right?"
This went on for ages. Then he asked me if all my friends were at Uni. I said most of them, but bear in mind I CHOSE not to go to Uni. He implied that I was the only one who couldn't get in because I didn't have SEN training. He asked what my parents did as a living, he asked what my favourite music was, etc. Really personal questions
He said he would send me an email(Which he never did.)

Second time:
Different bloke who claimed I had never spoken to his company, or they had never spoken to me, but then went on to say the same thing and I quote,
"If one doctor told you that you had tonsillitis, and you didn't believe him so went for a second opinion, and the second told you that you had tonsillitis, who do you think is right?"
I asked what relevance this had to anything, and he said,
"You know what, if you won't take my advice I won't bother with you."
And hung up on me.

The third time was a different person again. I was about to go out the door and told them I didn't have the time. He hung up.

I don't know if it's the same person using different names, but now occasionally, I will get a phone call from a private number. I know who it is and refuse to answer because I don't want to be upset again. Then an email will appear with the subject, "Unable to contact."
It just says, "Dear candidate." Like I'm a number.

Not speaking to these people and certainly not giving them my money.

If you want to change career and are looking for help and advice breaking into a new sector, then do not use Careers Advice and Learning Centre.
The man on the phone promised me so much help and support but didn't deliver on any of them. I stayed with them for 11 days but very quickly realised that the service they promised was not there.

If you do decide to go with them then take my advice and don't agree to receive your course via email! Otherwise, you will, unknowingly, forfeit your right to a refund!

Best of luck to anyone who is looking for a company to give ou that helping hand, trust me, Career Advice and Learning Centre isn't it.
