The software is easy to use. When I phone up the staff sort out my problem. My only quibble is sometimes finding the right charity can be a bit iffy. Maybe showing them in size order would help.

I've been a subscriber to CAF for a long time. I make regular donations to several charities and they handle it all, including collecting the Gift Aid. They do this well and their system operates smoothly. I'm very happy to continue using them.

This is a well-run organisation with good customer service. I've had an account for twenty years, paying in monthly by standing order from my bank, which benefits from the government's gift aid tax back scheme. It's easy to keep track of and make donations, both regular (by standing orders going out) and one-off payments. I wonder if CAF will ever go mad and have an app?

It is very helpful to be able to make occasional charitable donations securely online (this, from an 'oldster' with a CAF voucher book from c,1985!).

It's helpful to be able to set up standing orders to support a variety of charities. My only regret is that it's difficult to support charities internationally.

Difficult to reach donate service on telephone. NO automatic confirmation of donations received. NO complete account statement being sent upon request. The voucher system was easy, safe and reliable. The new system utterly inconvenient for customer.

Been with CAF for years makes giving easy excellent

Very happy with the website and it’s working. Have had smooth responses. Updates have been appreciated and monthly reminder about donations have helped in keeping the accuracy of account.

I wanted to update the records in my accounting package with the transactions in my CAF account. This proved non-trivial as I didn't find a way of download a CSV file but had to copy and paste monthly data from the web site. That site kept on timing out, too.

The charges are quite expensive, and I am unaware of an equivalent organisation to compare it with.

Quick and simple way to make donations and keep track of favourite charities

Slowness in approving share gifts donations, twice because approval documents were filed away without being sent to me. Also twice received emails chasing me re remitting the sale proceeds to CAF, in both cases weeks after the funds had actually been sent.

It makes the giving process really easy, and also reporting to HMRC.
I just wish it were cheaper.

I have used my CAF account for years now. I find it a safe, easy way to make charitable donations with just a few clicks.

I have been using CAF for over 50 years as I do not like being tied to a particular charity in case there is an emergency appeal from one of the several charities that I support and I want to make a donation to that appeal that is 'out of step' from my usual pattern of giving.
Never had any security or other issues with the CAF website.
Website is easy to use, management of funds and donations is fairly clear EXCEPT when more than 1 donation is made within a logged-on session. For some reason the 'funds remaining' message correctly subtracts the first donation to provide an updated total. However, if a second donation is made within the same session the total is NOT updated to indicate the remaining funds: it is frozen as if no second donation has been made. If you want to give a third donation then it creates a situation where you think that you have more funds remaining than you actually have unless you keep your own manual running total!
