I must say I was genuinely excited when I started the process of working with Cadogan Tate. I have moved internationally several times and the results have always been quite variable. I had used CT for one off deliveries of art in the US and they had always been excellent. So I felt very confident that they would do a good job when it came to a move from Portugal to the UK. The quote was close to 90k gbp so I was expecting great things.

The pack up in Portugal was solid at the house. Things started to go awry when they told me that they had completely forgotten a storage pick up in Lisbon. I would still have to pay the storage fees in lisbon and they said they would subtract the costs from their London storage invoices in the future. They would pick up the rest on the second half of the job. Annoying but felt reasonable.

The move into our rental went relatively well, except they damaged my landlords running machine. When they moved the machine they placed it over the plug floor plate. When my wife used the machine the floor plate caught the tread and damaged it. We have videos and conversations that create a precise timeline of the events. At first they were very apologetic and said they would contact technogym. When they did, TG said the belt couldn’t be replaced as it’s too dangerous to use. They would have to replace the whole machine. Which they said they would.

It took them three months to come back to me to tell me that they can’t replace it under their insurance, as I didn’t take out their moving insurance which was an extra 2% of the 90k. Which is beyond expensive and my items were covered under my Chubb insurance. So I am now left with a 25k bill for a new machine and now they don’t even respond. Not only was the customer experience awful, they show no sense of care or attention to detail. This is obviously a major concern when they are handling expensive personal belongings.

I have now had to hire another mover and pay double the money for the second move. They took over 55k for the first move and I can’t trust them not to damage my belongings. Or look after us if they do damage them. I think everyone understands that innocent mistakes happen, but in order to maintain a premium brand you should make every effort to make things right.

I have since found out that they have been bought by a PE firm and have been buying up lots of smaller companies under the CT umbrella. So quality and brand experience has suffered and they are no longer a high end boutique brand you can trust. Consolidation is really hard and it’s clear the customer is suffering. This happened to my friend in London too and another contact I know in Spain. So it’s not a one off incident unfortunately.

Please stay away at all costs, in case something goes wrong.

The removal team, led by Simon with Pawel, Przemek, and Radu, were absolutely excellent – all lovely guys: friendly, bubbly, and extremely accommodating. They made what could have been a stressful day run effortlessly, enjoyable and with great care.

From start to finish, the service was fantastic – from the initial quotation with Daniel and Ryan through to the removal itself, everything was handled professionally and efficiently.

I couldn’t be happier with the experience and would highly recommend this team to anyone looking for a smooth, stress-free move.

Outstandingly good service. Cadogan Tate are completely reliable and do an excellent job. Enormous care was taken by the office staff, the actual removal men and the Move in Style girls to facilitate a move which was not straight forward and required patience and kindness- all of which was demonstrated in abundance. Cadogan Tate moved us over 5 days from our house . The team was professional, competent , helpful , very pleasant to work with and they make the entire process seamless.
The team leader, Jimmy, was particularly good, his team obviously enjoy working together with him and each other and nothing was too much bother for them.

Recommended to us by word of mouth is always a good start and Cadogan Tate did not disappoint. My mother was moving after 43 years in the same property and the team professionally and respectfully moved everything without any damage or drama. Every person on the team was polite and worked tirelessly. I am not planning on moving anytime soon but if I was, I would definitely use Cadogan Tate and I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone for their move.

I have used Cadogan Tate many times over the last 25 years for full house moves and also for smaller jobs. Everyone at Cadogan Tate is always extremely careful, respectful, accommodating and courteous. At every stage, communication is clear and helpful - this greatly reduces anxiety during potentially anxious times. Cadogan Tate will never be the cheapest option, but, in my repeated experience, they’re worth it. The move team, led by Ashley Sell, was exceptional and worked extremely hard to carefully pack and move my belongings down 2 flights of stairs !. This was not an easy task. A special mention to the driver who had to overcome access challenges to the property caused by tree felling activities and equipment that took place on the same day.

Great experience with the team I had at Cadogan. Professional from the start and such friendly and accommodating guys who packed and moved us (even when we tested their patience when our car keys got packed in the middle of the van!!). Would highly recommend.

This is the 4th time that I have used Cadogan Tate (formerly Rogers Removals for me).
Overall the experience has been 5 star.
The move did not go entirely smoothly, but the amazingly supportive customer service and aftercare was faultless, which redeemed Cadogan’s 5 star status!
Moving is stressful, particularly when it’s after 20yrs of living somewhere! The movers were, on the whole, brilliant, packing up and moving A LOT of stuff with great zest and efficiency! It’s hard work and my move was a downsize, so once the movers started to get the stuff in, it was very tricky with the HUGE amount of boxes to fit into a smaller house.
However, they failed to do some key things in time, such as re-attach/plumb in my washer and dryer and un-pack the fragiles, which had all been agreed and pre-paid for. They also managed to break a couple of key items, such as my bed.
But, the volume of the job had been under-estimated and to the credit of the after-care team, they were amazing at handling the fall-out.
Re. the un-packing help, Lacey helped authorise two movers to come and assist me for a few hours, which really furthered my progress in emptying boxes of books, dvds and even helped with moving some furniture into place. And when I discovered that my bed and a couple of items had been broken in the moving process, Ian in the claims department had the bed assessed for the possibility of it being fixed, but once it was determined as properly broken, he secured the finances for a replacement within a week! Plus, every time I was visited, the Cadogan team would take away all of the unpacked boxes, which has been a great relief and aid to feeling uncluttered and at home.
I found all of the Cadogan Tate employees to be: professional, efficient, kind and considerate throughout.
In short, I thoroughly recommend Cadogan Tate as Moving is a very stressful process and though they are not the cheapest, they are well worth the money you spend and I felt very valued and looked after from start to finish!

This is the 4th time I have used Cadogan Tate (formerly Scotts), and they have never disappointed. Each time, we have had a lovely team, who worked very hard to get everything done and dusted in a good time frame. I will be using them again in a few weeks time, so fingers crossed it is a fifth good experience!

Del and his team were absolutely amazing. Their efficiency, friendliness and work ethics were second to none.
They packed up our home in record time and were just as efficient when offloading and moving it all in to our new home.
Not a single scratch or breakage of anything fragile- just fantastic.
A special shoutout also to Vasilij, the “handy man”, who disassembled our teak wood bedframe (which was from straightforward!), an Ikea bed, our teak wood dining table and unplugged the washing machine - all within one hour! He then repeated this task on reassembly within one hour - jaw dropping stuff.
An image that will also stay with us was Del, taking a super heavy chest of drawers on his neck and shoulders (!) up the stairs with his colleague.
All in all: superb.

A most efficient, professional removal company. From my first query, quickly answered, to the packing and removing, every member of staff exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend for any moves, large or small.

I had an exceptional moving experience with Cadogan Tate this week, they are so professional, careful, calm and level headed, which is very reassuring when you're moving house.
I had one unexpected problem at the last minute, which they seamlessly helped me resolve.
