Was originally quoted 5 days to receive the item, ended up being 16. My order wasn't even processed until day 13. Then I was told they were covering shipping costs for me for the "technical update(I understand that but this given situation was a joke), which that never happened. They sent me the correct product. That's about the only positive thing I have to say. Won't be ordering from them again if a company can't keep their word.
BROWNELLs sucks
Wow. Ordered a rest. Took forever to arrive. Wanted a lighter weight one, ordered it, money taken from my bank, after two weeks still no rest; called BROWNELLs waited 2 hours on hold only to be told that they’re changing their system; the rest I wanted is now out of stock; ordered a different model with 2nd day air - this is the third day and while BROWNELLs took the money from my bank I still haven’t received even an email that the rest is being processed let alone being shipped. Wth? Been waiting on hold for 169 minutes to talk to them. The Caldwell at my local Sportsman Warehouse is looking better every day.

WORST Customer Service and Wrong in-stock notification!
I purchased an M16-A1 stock for a MK-12 Mod 1 build only because they had it in-stock. I recently purchased their M-16 A1 buffer kit and several hundred dollars in tools. Now, As soon as I ordered the stock and they held my funds, they made it "out of stock" status without telling me in an e-mail or anything. So I waited 2 weeks for it ship thinking it's in-stock and they are holding my funds, but It's not going to ship??? So I called. over an hour hold time with 80 people ahead of me??? So I chatted on-line with Kim. KIM gave me nothing but cheap excuses like "I'm not the BOSS. I don't make the rules". I got so frustrated with this idiot, who told me the order had been cancelled then changed it to back-ordered. I got mad after blaming everyone else and said "Your being an A%$.... Kim said if I use that language, I would be disconnected! I got so mad!!!! I have been their loyal customer for several years. So instead of apologizing for the company (which is what they (HE/SHE) should have done) and maybe offering an alternative to the A-1 stock (A-2 with spacer, or SOPMOD kit) they got defensive and lashed out irrationally. So now, KIM, I am cancelling my order. Kim said nothing to make the situation better, just worse. How about a discount on something else, or just I'm sorry without blaming "The Boss"? And Brownells still has my money on hold!
Don't waste your time.
Having dealt with Brownell's twice in the past 7 months I feel compelled to give them an unfavorable review. First I ordered an item that was "out of stock" but since I wasn't in a terrible hurry I went ahead and ordered it. Six months later they finally shipped. Now I had called to check on the order multiple times and was lied to over and over. I learned my lesson, never buy anything from them that is not in stock.
The next time I ordered, I checked stock, paid shipping and expected it within a week. A few days later I got an e-mail that said they had been down for system maintenance for two days, sorry for the delay and they would cover shipping. Two weeks later I'm still waiting. Well, I have finally learned the lesson I should have learned the first time. NEVER ORDER FROM BROWNELL'S. In stock, out of stock it doesn't matter. What really concerns me is they don't care. They don't, saying they can't, check ETA on items and if pushed will just lie. There are too many reputable companies to buy from to waste your time with these fools.

Please find somewhere else to order from. Over 2 weeks shipping and still waiting for delivery. I will never order from them again. I suspect they lie and it's not FedEx delivering. It's actual citizens they are asking to give product a ride on their drive😅

I came across an automated response email that I received from Brownells starting I was a valued customer from my last of several correspondences about never receiving my rifle parts to fix my rifle. Every email went unresponsive after the initial automated response. The customer service was horrible and never fulfilled.

Took 2 weeks to get a shipment OUT OF THEIR DOOR for a very simple order. Then they required an adult signature without ever informing me during the ordering process. Incredibly slow company and the website is really really bad.
Ordered parts from Brownells in November
Ordered parts from Brownells in November 2021, by December 9 the tracking indicated my parcel is in Bucharest and there it got stuck. After numerous mails and very little feedback after days of waiting I was told my parcel was sent to the wrong adress and that someone from the courrier company would contact me me ‘shortly’.
Nobody ever contacted me and by end January 2022 I asked for a refund cause my package was still indicating Bucharest after which I was promised that my parcel will be delivered by 8 February. After a day or two received a mail stating that my money was refunded, all good and well but waisted 3 months of my time waiting to upgrade my lever action.

Wow, reading the other comments below I'm beside myself. I have to say I had an awesome experience with Brownells. I've done business with them twice both times was happy. one of the items was slightly off I was able to modify myself. but I had called before I did, and customer service was really awesome! they responded back to me in less than 8 hours. Thank you Brownells! I will definitely do more business with you in the future..

Ruined Christmas because the billing address was different than the shipping address. They could have simply told us at time of purchase so we could do whatever BS they need, but NO, lets wait weeks instead and make sure our Christmas presents don't get here.

I've been trying to get my hands on a BLACKHAWK - T-Series L2C Light-Bearing Holster (Left Hand Carry) to fit a Sig M18 for a little over a year now, but every time I check their website, the holster is out of stock. So I went to Brownells and to my surprise they had it! So I ordered one from them on October 20th and received it on November 8th. As soon as the holster arrived in the mail, I tore that box open and noticed it was the wrong product.
I immediately called customer service to explain to them the issue I had. I was transferred to three different people because they weren't understanding the problem I was having. I kept telling the person I spoke to over the phone, "I got the wrong product in the mail. The holster I was supposed to receive is a light-baring holster, a holster that allows me to holster my firearms (Sig M18) with a weapon light on it", and she didn't know what I was talking about, I sent her pictures of the holster I got with my firearm in it, and she was even more lost, she confused a weapon light with a red dot and then asked me if my problem was that the holster came in the wrong color, at this point I was already frustrated, but I kept my cool.
After a while, they thought it would be a good idea to transfer me to what they called a "product technician." The older gentleman I spoke to had no clue on what I was talking about either. They finally came to a conclusion to have me send them the holster back to inspect it. When I heard that, I became upset because the issue wasn't that the holster was defective, it was, that you sent the wrong product.
It was getting late, and they were about to close, so they told me someone from their team was going to reach out the following day, which they never did; I had to call them back. When I called back they finally gave me an answer, and it was that their website had the wrong information on it, which is odd because they have both the name of the product and the picture on there. (I will attach the screenshot I took on December 11th, 2021, which means they still haven't fixed it.)
The point of all this is that their customer service team and the technician I spoke to lack the necessary knowledge of what their company is selling, which is sad. I don't think I'll be buying any major piece of equipment from Brownells anymore.

Inventory control and shipping are an absolute joke. Ordered a Part from them when I ordered it stated part was I stock then after I ordered it I received an email stating that part was on back order and could take 5 to 8 weeks to arrive. Received some lame excuse about it stating that on order sheet and how I must have "missed" it. Now a month later trying to contact them about it and they now say they are overwhelmed by requests and are several days behind in even answering customers inquiries! How can a business even continue when they have that alittle control over their orders?

Absolutely crap order management system and poor business practices
I'll start by saying the people are very polite. That's where it ends. I put in two orders for ammo. The first one shipped out after 2 weeks and got lost then found after an extra week. The second order which was $400 worth of creedmoor, well that's a different story. After 2 weeks they created a label and that's it. After I complained it went to claims where there was some excuse that made no sense but a new order was supposed to ship out. It never did. The best part is they don't even have the ammo to replace it, have no clue when they will have more and were just going to keep my money until I called and said something. I will never shop here again.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Had i not called back a few days later, i wouldn’t have known my order needed a “web verification” for fraud. I received no emails or confirmation number for my order. I literally spent almost $1000 on parts on 3 orders. 3 Customer services reps said i will receive an email. Never received an email. Finally got last of 3 items. Item tolerances are way off and doesn’t fit. Rep said i will receive a return/item exchange print out via email immediately. I never received an email. I will not be using Brownells after this is finalized. Never again! How can you blatantly lie to a customer.

Ordered 3 separate times first 2 my orders where canceled after about 5 days and even though they canceled my order and sent nothing still got charged 3$ for shipping insurance.... I should of seen this as a sign but nope I tried a third time now my order is on hold so I call customer service AGAIN they can't help me I need the web team but they were off already so he said he was gonna transfer me well 15 minutes of being on hold I realized I wasn't transfered and no one is picking up ...

While they have good products usually in stock, their shipping methods are TERRIBLE. I have ordered from them for the last few years and most all of the trouble is with SHIPPING. It is slow at getting packages picked up by their shippers.
They use FedEx mostly and USPS, both of which have become very unreliable in the last year.
Brownells needs to offer UPS shipping (Overnight, 2 day, and regular), so customers have a choice of shippers. UPS tends to be the most reliable for my area at least.
ALSO, I have paid for 2 day or overnight delivery on many occasions for an extra $10-$20, and Brownells will often pocket that extra money and just send it standard ground shipping. THAT IS FRAUD! Done with them. No other business I have ordered from in the last year has ever had any trouble getting packages delivered to the shipper on time, and not sending them how customer requests them to be delivered is unacceptable. There are several other businesses similiar to Brownells that will be getting my monthly orders for business customers in the future, since Brownells cannot keep their shipping end of the their business in order.
