Super Customer Service
Lovely products - There was a slight hiccup with my on line order, but their customer services department were amazing and got back to me really quickly and kindly sent what I needed. I highly recommend Brora, not only for their products, but their customer service is super and they will very quickly sort out any issues, without any stress for fuss.
Short-sighted customer service in Marylebone
I bought a non-sale jumper for £615 for my son’s birthday who did not like it so I brought it back. Unfortunately not within the 14 days but within 28. I asked for a little discretion and the sale assistant who was lovely asked the manageress who wasn’t on the shop floor but they would only let me exchange. It was a shame the manageress didn’t bother coming out to talk to me and I ended up paying another £150 to exchange for items I didn’t really want. My point it that despite being a customer of that shop for over 20 years, I will never shop there again. Rules are rules I accept but by not bothering to speak to the type of customer that spends what I consider to be a large amount, they have now lost one.

Slowest delivery ever
Slowest delivery ever - I honestly think if I had not called, my order would still be waiting to be dispatched ! Customer service very abrupt - obviously used to this question - phone on working day 5 and then I get an email to say my order is with DPD, took another 2 days for DPD to say it’s in their delivery system ! - first time ordering, concerned by the other reviews on quality - will wait and see.
Other companies have ordering a delivery form to a fine art - seems strange that Brora don’t !

I am so incensed with customer service and the quality of their clothes .
I got my order delivered to Spain . Charged tax twice . Customer service were deliberately misunderstanding my complaint on the tax issue . They just couldn’t be bothered .
The quality of the items is very hit and miss . Everything is not just one size too big but two ! The sleeves on a polo neck came over my hands and the polo part didn’t keep its shape just went baggy immediately .Massively overpriced for the quality .

Ordered silk velvet dress - described as natural fibres. Reduced from £400 so expected a decent item. Arrived quickly so no issue there. However, dress was very poor quality, awful fabric and badly made, difficult to get on and off due to position of side zip, and labelled 80% polyester. So much for natural fibres. Emailed about return/refund - no response and deleted my review. Wouldn’t consider buying from them again
Serious decline in quality…
This is a hard review for me as I have been a loyal customer (3-5 pieces a year) for over 10 years.
The quality has declined so much in the last 2-3 years it makes me sad. All the jumpers pill from the first wear and ongoing. The coat I bought last winter at great expense looked good only for one wear and now even with fluff removers looks awful. The dresses are poorly cut and the fabrics not of previous quality - yet some those I bought 10 years ago are still fine.
I think if you buy the very top of the line cashmere classics or take a risk on a heavily reduced sale item you’re probably ok, but otherwise not. This has gone from my number 1 for clothing to no longer being an option.

Don't buy from this company, if there is a problem, they will not abide by the law
Item left in an unsafe place by the courier and stolen.
Brora are not interested and keep fobbing us off. They do not understand Consumer Law and don't abide by it.
We have consulted a solicitor who has advised that an item remains their responsibility until it is in the customers physical possession. No refund & no item. Its a disgrace.
If the refund isn't forthcoming in 7 days, we will be commencing legal proceedings to recover the cost.

I have experienced excellent customer service particularly from a lady called Catherine. Brora have repaired a jumper for me completely free and with such excellent service and compassion.

What kind of company doesn't offer…
What kind of company doesn't offer refunds for gift cards? I understand they can't be exchanged for cash, as is common knowledge, but the website states that you should be able to get a gift card refund back to the original credit card within up to 30 days. However, when visiting the store or calling customer service, no one seems to have any information. The service is completely useless and unorganised, with no communication or assistance. Considering the price of the clothes they sell, the experience is not worth it at all.

Customer service doesn’t live up to the company’s image
I have been a regular customer for several years now (left positive reviews in the past) but unfortunately Brora’s customer service has put me off buying from them.
My recent order has been lost and after over three weeks it resurfaced back in the UK. Brora’s customer representative has been sending me robotic apologies - they can’t resend my order, they can’t refund me, they can’t ask their logistics partner, Global-e, to resend it. They can’t do anything basically. It feels like talking to a LLM although I suspect I have been corresponding with a human because I exchanged several emails and each time Brora took a long time to respond. It’s has been nearly a month and I have neither received my order nor a refund. The clothes are expensive and the company promotes itself as a small, premium, local business. Unfortunately the customer service doesn’t live up to this image.
Made in China & Poor Quality Material
Really sad. Bought a cardigan which was originally £89. The colour is perfect - it’s a cotton cardi (so original price v high). Material quality on verge of see through. I thought I was buying into the good Scottish quality brand I used to buy from and was sorely disappointed to find it made in china with a poorly stitched in label to increase the profit margins for the company presumably to 98%. Brora would do well to remeber their customers aren’t stupid and give themselves a bit of credibility on the quality element before they end up ruining their brand and discrediting their previous fantastic reputation.
I could have purchased a cardigan from New Look or M&S at a fraction of the price for the same quality - not the luxury purchase I hoped for
linen skirt
I bought a linen skirt in May this year (2025) for £185. The linen is so thin it has given way at the back seam after half a dozen wears. Clearly the fabric isn't fit for purpose.
