I bought a camera lens from Bristol Cameras and it was an excellent price and despatched quickly. They rang me the day they were despatching it to check I would be in to receive the parcel, which impressed me. You don't get that kind of customer service in many places. I will certainly be buying from Bristol Cameras again. Highly recommended.

No email address, no facility to cancel an order. 30+ telephone calls (in their stated hours) not answered.
-- I note Bristol cameras reply but there is a reason you don't include an email address or cancel button which is LUDICROUS and builds DISTRUST, the phone numbers were rung over 30 times across two days and now it is to late as you no doubt do not refund the postage each way, so you won but you won ONCE if that is how you like to do business so be it but not with me, never again--
To your reply, NO. I will not give a second chance to be done over again. Online trade is all about TRUST and you lost mine by failing to reply to 30 plus calls and no email address to write to. My only success in contacting you was via a bad review on trust pilot and that tells me ALL I need to know. Never again.

Communications after placing the order were good and the parcel arrived reasonably promptly albeit a day late. But this is not uncommon for couriers these days and no blame can be directed at Bristol Cameras for this.

On arrival, the Cinestill TCS 1000 had a European plug and I had to rewire it. The unit display is scratched and I can therefore only assume that this is not an entirely new unit.

Nonetheless, the unit was tested and it works correctly. The temperature control is stable but the temperature is approximately 0.8 to 1 degree C high (tested against a calibrated Testo meter). In order to get a correct temperature for C41 processing I need to set the device to 37.5 rather than leave it at the default 39.

The fact that Bristol Cameras does not have an email address is problematical.

Ordered an item that was showing in stock waited 10 days and having heard nothing from the company or courier service I decided to call and spoke to someone who waffled on about stock levels etc, eventually told me it was not in stock but would arrive in 2 days and would be posted straight out to me. This never happened so waited a further 5 days only to be given a BS story about customs stopping the item (come on, it was a small camera bag)
Rang to cancel and was basically told I misunderstood the email explaining the issue.
I was told in an extremely rude manner that my refund would be done and he hung up.
Is it any wonder that people are using online services from all over the globe and not local specialists.
I hope this guy gets fired before the company goes to the wall like many others.
I will NEVER use Bristol cameras again.

I have now found out for myself that,indeed, their customer service is excellent and far exceeded my expectations.Seems to me that it doesn't matter how much you spend the quality never varies. I visited yesterday to buy a new spotting scope and was very happy with both my purchase and the customer service. I was shown new and second-hand scopes, no hard sell, and given the opportunity to the out the scope I selected outside in the street. I would definitely shop here again.

Called up on Monday 23rd morning in search of some what was proving very hard to get lens hoods for my canon lenses that I needed by Wednesday 25th for a trip to the USA, they had both in stock and were able to get them shipped to me next day delivery (slight extra cost but well worth paying the extra) the staff member on the phone was very helpful and had no issues in helping a very last minute request to get the items to me ASAP! Highly recommend Bristol Camera, fantastic service and great prices as well, a lot cheaper than some place I’d looked at.
