Brimar ecc83 review
I have purchased reissue ecc83 valves from Brimar before and pleased with their sound in my Croft pre and power combination. These were a close resemblance to the long plate Mullard in my possession.
The ones supplied are a little a little different with a slightly shorter plate and a thinner tube. I was expecting a significantly different sound in my Croft series 7r power amp. However I am delighted to say that it sounds wonderful to my ears. Colour, detail, nuance, scale and body that comes naturally to valves. Provided just the right amount of warmth that digital medium seems to require to make long term listening enjoyable. Recommended.

ECC83
I had my doubts before placing an order for a pair of ECC83s, but my curiosity won out. I wanted to compare the sound of these new valves with the valves of the 50s and 60s. In short, these new valves sound great. I would like to express my gratitude to Bob for the excellent service and good work with clients.

Quick and easy purchase
Quick and easy purchase. Good monitoring of the evolution until reaching Spain.
The problem comes once in the EU. Customs procedures and bureaucracy terribly delay delivery. From 16.09.2023 until 09.10.2023. Furthermore, we must not forget the customs fees and import procedures that have accounted for 32.5% of the purchase cost. This makes it very difficult to buy in the UK from Spain.

Thank you for your custom and review. We are continually on the look out for a better system to post duty paid which has fair costing for our customers and ourselves. We currently subsidise all shipping costs out of the UK to help our overseas clients and an extra 32.5% is a sad reflection on EU tariffs and postal systems.
A Sound Company!
Good to find a company that have their own brand of valves,albeit not manufactured by themselves, although this may happen in the future. One hopes the standards are maintained by using the old Brimar name. I was very pleased with the valves they supplied me with. A real go to reliable company for many popular valves and reasonably priced.
