We recently completed a house move with the help of Bower & Bailey, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. Particularly our appointed solicitors, Sara Lovesey and Codie Church.

From the very beginning, Sara and Codie were absolutely brilliant. Our move was far from straightforward, with multiple difficulties that could have easily derailed the process. But throughout it all, their calm professionalism, clear communication, and sheer dedication kept everything on track.

What really stood out was how genuinely supportive they were during what turned out to be a very stressful time. No matter the issue, Sara and Codie handled it with efficiency and confidence, always keeping us informed and reassured. They truly went above and beyond to ensure the transaction went through smoothly and on time.

Their attention to detail, responsiveness, and unwavering commitment to getting things done properly were second to none. It made all the difference knowing we had such a capable and trustworthy team behind us.

I appreciate they are very busy day to day but i feel they lacked any kind of polite formalities when talking over the phone and also we found the level of communication rather when certain emails were requested when we have transferred money etc

Joanne and her team are all totally approachable and helpful and happy to discuss matters as needed. Despite some issues and delays concerning other parties lack of understanding of using a Lasting Power of Attorney, Joanne managed to satisfy these queries and hasten the end result, without needing extra input from us. We are extemely pleased with the service we received and would have no hesitation in recommending Bower & Bailey's services.

This company was instructed to deal with my brothers estate when he passed away December 24

Very unprofessional making a series of mistakes / schoolboy errors in dealing with his wishes, causing more upset to an already very upsetting situation.

1. Giving the beneficiaries wrong information as to value of their bequests.
2. Giving wrong information as to timelines to deal with the distribution as my brothers estate.
3. Not replying to emails or giving partial reply’s
4. No consistency or appointment person dealing with relatives questions or queries.

This companies apathetic approach dealing with our family whilst we were suffering the grief/ bereavement of my brother is appalling.

Avoid this company !!!!!

The information received is often unclear, making it difficult to fully understand the steps taken by them.

Our experience of Bower Bailey, and in particular Jo Dobson, was excellent. I would highly recommend them for any conveyancing work you need. Jo kept us informed, gave us excellent advice when needed, and really did go above and beyond when we hit some bumps in the road.

Kay was excellent with my house purchase. 10/10 would recommend for all of your conveyancing needs. Straight to the point, professional and a no nonsense approach. I hope she can assist me with a will I need drafting!

Called to enquire whether they could assist with revoking a Deed of Trust. After 'checking', the receptionist informed me—somewhat curtly—“We will not be able to help at this time.”

I attempted to clarify: did they not offer this service, were they simply unavailable this week, or perhaps not taking on new clients? Each question was met with the same blunt response: “We will not be able to help at this time.”

The experience felt like a Pretty Woman moment—dismissed without explanation—despite the fact I’m in the midst of both selling and purchasing a home, and looking for a solicitor.

Here’s to a potential client lost.

Joanne Dobson looked after us for the sale of our house and purchase of our new one. She was outstanding throughout. She alway explained what was happening in the process and was always 2 steps ahead, preparing in advance so we were ready to proceed. She handled a very stressful exchange and completion due to other solicitors' incompetence with rigour, calmness and professionalism. We had previously used her for our last sale and purchase and if we ever move again will work with her. We would recommend her to anyone looking for a women at the top of her professional game, who will look after you through one of life's most stressful experiences!

5* star service from Joshua Smith in the Witney office again following a house sale. He is very efficient and professional, guiding one through the process in a calm and helpful way. He is my 'go-to' solicitor for anything property related and have used him 3 times now with a consistent service.

Very rude. Simply wanted to have an appointment to discuss things properly as my situation is a little complicated.

Was told “Not really, I’m very busy. Tell me on the phone now”. I asked if I could organise at least a phone call appointment later in the week so I can get things together. His reply was “No, I’m busy I don’t mean to be rude but I think you should use a different Solicitor as you’ve been in twice already”. I only went in before to collect paperwork that they had asked me to!!!

Really disgusted.
