Redfields is ‘simply the best’
Redfields in Church Crookham is ‘simply the best’ Garden Centre. It has a great selection of plants, shrubs, water features, seating, everything you could ever need for your garden.
There is clothing, shoes & boots, toys, & gifts as well as a well stocked food hall.
The restaurant is amazing & can highly recommend for breakfast/lunch/afternoon tea or just a quick coffee.
I am a regular visitor and lucky to live a short distance from this amazing Garden Centre.

Having spent a fortune at various blue diamond centres namely Shrewsbury, Aylesbury & Newport ( Shropshire ) in addition for the last two years purchasing Xmas gifts for my staff i would like to share an experience suffered at the Mere park garden centre restaurant a week ago and a lesson on how not to address what was a minor issue and resulted in me ,my family, and my company taking our business elsewhere.Most Saturdays we made a point of starting our Saturdays with a breakfast or a patisserie/ scone from one of the centres.For the last two weeks we purchased a fruit scone each & tea. Each occasion the scones were completely deviod of any fruit whatsoever, this was mentioned to the waitress each time and we were informed it would be fed back.It clearly wasnt.On saturday ( Third time lucky) exactly the same not one sultana.We are very easy going but at £18 each time with a lemon cake its not cheap.So summoned waitress and showed her .She agreed went to fetch two more, and a manager, replacement scones came first I insisted we cut them open in front of her again not one sultana. Then the supervisor came agreed no fruit in .With an attitude Quote stated "Well what do you want me to do" .I replied we have purchased two fruit scones we just want fruit scones with fruit in nothing difficult. She replied well we can't just keep throwing them away. WRONG ANSWER.! There's clearly something wrong in the kitchen you shouldn't even be selling them.Her attitude wasn't the best. I told her we wish for a refund this is the best bit- in broken english she demanded our receipt i didn't feel i would need a receipt when offered by young lad on till at point of purchase.Afer all we hadn't made it up.She stormed off towards the counter and it was a scene from faulty towers i actually told her about her body language she was embarrassing herself. And if anyone from head office queries this its all on cctv. She starts aggressively pulling the receipts from the spike eventually finding ours.She refunded us for the TWO scones not even giving us the teas.Made complaint to head office they denied its anything to do with portion control / cutbacks etc .( Of course its not.)They offered a "free cream tea & scone for two" It doesn't take much working out how much out of pocket we are.We are happy to lose this.The main reason we are posting this is if you are elderly,or a young family and money is tight and you want to treat yourself to one of their "FRUIT" scones do yourself a favour and cut it open. The moral of this story is at the beginning it should of been dealt with professionalism. We calculated as a whole with the furniture, trees, and much more we have spent over two years £13.400 Including company purchases. ALL OVER TWO SCONES !!! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS KEY TO ANY COMPANY!!

Can't praise her enough we spoke about our ages this was left side till on bank holiday Monday amazing kind assistant. Acknowledged mum in her wheelchair and didn't talk to me instead.
Also restaurant lovely they were great mum in diabetic low and they let me take cake and food for her to table and rushed food through to save mum going into a coma and diabetic low. Thank you both restaurant and lovely lady on the till All amazing

We always make a stop at the Blue Diamond when in Cardiff and think it’s a great store.
We particularly like their cafe and their staff are also very polite and helpful.
We think Nick Denslow, the Cardiff Restaurant Supervisor, needs an extra mention. Nick is a bright, positive member of staff who goes out of his way to ensure you have what you require.
Nick is ready to answer any questions about the food and provide extra help when needed.
We think he is a great ambassador for your stores and a credit to the company!

Don't buy third party products from them as they don't manage their suppliers very well.
Ordered & paid £15,000 Pergola with 14 week lead time. Still waiting 24 weeks later. Communication was poor I had to keep contacting them. Blue Diamond had my money almost 6 months. Profuse apologies but eventually there are only so many sorry's acceptable when there is no delivery of what was paid for in advance. Blue Diamond promised to keep on top of this but failed every time & it was me contacting them. Was offered a £1,000 goodwill gesture, which Blue Diamond subsequently took back when I eventually cancelled order through broken promises & no pergola, due in May but still not here mid August. Don't buy third party products from them as they don't manage their suppliers very well.

What a fantastic time we had.
I took my 7 year old Great Nephew to the Animal Encounters event at Beckworth, Mears Ashby. Firstly the price was unbelievable £6.99 for the child only, I mean how great is that, you were not being ripped off. These days to be able to take a child somewhere and the adult did not have to pay as well, 1st class as far as im concerened.
The presenter was just great with the children, they got to hold a Python, Tarantula, Meer-Cats, Mongoose, Pigmy Hedgehogs, to name but a few of the animals, every child their was not left out and all had a turn.
Definitely please hold the event again. Fantastic time. My Great Nephew was so excited with all the animals he saw and asked can we go back tomorrow. Bless him.

Super experience at Cardiff Garden Centre
Super experience. My wife and her friend spent 4 hours at the garden centre as there was so much to see. They looked at all the plants, garden ornaments, and pots, before going inside for a very tasty light lunch. They then went to look at the clothing and bought a few items, before looking at all the gifts and home furnishings and bought a few more items. All in all, they said it was an excellent afternoon out.

I have visited this location before…
I have visited this location before after visiting the Cambridge American Military Cemetery and decided to return with my parents.
There was plenty of staff if needed for queries. The shop was clean and tidy. Plenty of products to suit all tastes.
We stopped at the cafe for a coffee and met Chris the manager. He was very friendly and approachable. We will be returning soon.

I visited Hereford garden centre…
I visited Hereford garden centre yesterday; in the garden aera I got very nice and helpful service from a young man, he brought the garden furniture I wanted to the till, later on helped loading the chairs onto my truck.
However, my experience in your restaurant was quite negative. The overall ambiance was quite depressing and basic, no nice atmosphere at all, two ladies were wiping and mopping the floor in between seated customers (at 3.30 pm!!), everywhere chairs were just shoved away, nothing orderly or inviting.
Also the tea I ordered was served with a mismatch of cup and saucer, the lid on the teapot did not fit, and worst of all the meringue cake I ordered, was most disgusting and old and fell apart because it was wet all over (from the freezer??). Nothing to do with meringue at all, for sure.
I paid 8 Pounds for tea and cake - money badly spent !
I will definitely not visit this restaurant again.

Returning a faulty item.
Recently (14/08/2026) had to return a faulty item (6 months old). My experience with the staff on the Furniture Department and Customer Service I felt was extremely poor! The staff member on the Furniture Department was in general unhelpful regarding replacing the item, I felt I was being inconvenient in having to make the return, not even a sorry for the situation. Customer Service the same the staff member was abrupt and blunt with question's regarding the purchase.

Excellent garden centre plus fish!
The staff were very helpful and gave you time to talk and explain what you were looking for.
The displays were colourful and inspiring and the products were great. Always have what you want!
I also bought some Goldfish from the knowledgeable staff at the fish centre.
