All the staff on were fantastic and very friendly. When they say “the people make glasgow” this is what they mean. Cannot recommend highly enough and I am sure I will be back in the shop pronto.

The customer service was top quality, Dan holly and slizabeth helped me and my friend with all of our individual needs, I coudnt thank him enough for there service, I hope they get thr recognition they deserve for there brilliant service.

Thought I would have to go to a few shops but Andrew at blacks in Glasgow managed to find me the shoes I was looking for , much appreciated. Great staff very helpful, will be shopping there again

I was looking for walking shoes and tried on about 6 pairs. Dan served me and was very patient, helpful and knowledgeable.
He even helped me get a good deal with money off. Saved around £27

I had a few different things to get and they had everything I needed at price ranges where I felt the items would be good quality without feeling upsold. They didn’t rush me and the store assistant ‘Big Dan’ was friendly and knowledgeable. Although I spent more than I had budgeted for I think I’ll have better camping experiences in the future due to the equipment I bought and the conversations I had. I went to Tiso and Mountain Warehouse as well today and found Blacks by far the best stocked and suitable. I had even placed an item on hold at Tiso that I didn’t need to go back for because Blacks had a better quality item for a cheaper price.

Went into blacks looking to get some new items, staff were really unknowledgeable and told me things that simply weren’t true, shame they don’t employ staff who have ever set foot outdoors

Great range to choose from. Very helpful staff (Rachel) helped us to find exactly what we needed at a good price. We will definitely be back.

Liz and Andrew gave me valuable advice on specific walking shoes and socks, emphasising importance of the correct socks. They were extremely helpful and took time to help me. Would definitely recommend Black's Glasgow, Argyle St.

Never usually review but Blacks has done it again. 10/10 service! Was in again over the weekend and the staff members Daniel, Rachel and Fran were extremely helpful. Got a great bargain on new boots and at the till point Daniel used his charm to persuade me to purchase hand warmers as apart of the spend and get scheme in store. Even received a 15% off my next purchase by getting an email receipt. Honestly such a great service in this establishment!!

Fran helped us today. So helpful. Being a Bank Holiday today it's so refreshing to find a staff member (in any Company) who was so happy to help us, she, as well as her colleagues should have had the day off like most of the UK. Managed to find a spot on pair of boots!

Visited Blacks in Glasgow recently and was very impressed - by both the store and the people working there. We spend a lot of time in the mountains and this place has a great selection of equipment, clothing and accessories for hiking trips. Particularly liked the footwear. Also thought the whole place was really well laid out which made it easy to find things. However, as good as the store was, it’s the staff that really made it for me. Frances and Molly helped me out - both were incredibly knowledgable and friendly, with great advice to share that felt very tailored for me and my family’s needs (a big contrast to other places I’ve been). Would definitely recommend Blacks to anyone looking for hiking gear and will be back again in the future!
