Bindia er en lokal kæde af Indiske Take Away & Dine-Ins i København siden 2003. Amer Sulman er grundlæggeren af og hovedkokken for Bindia. Hos Bindia laver vi certificeret økologisk og sund indisk mad (30-60%) - også vegansk - uden tilsætningsstoffer og konserveringsmidler. Vi bruger ikke forarbejdet mad eller frituresteger og vi tilsætter ikke hverken animalsk fedt eller farvestoffer. Vi har haft Det Økologiske Spisemærke siden 2015, hvor vi som de første i Skandinavien inden for det indiske køkken satte fokus på økologien. Og vi har en klar målsætning om forsat at blive endnu grønnere. Vores mad er inspireret af Ayurvediske opskrifter og Bindia tilbyder formentlig de største portionstørrelser af retter blandt al indisk take away. I Ayurveda fungerer mad nemlig som forebyggende medicin og som den primære drivkraft bag at holde din krop sund og dit immunforsvar stærkt. Bindia betragtes som et af de bedste indiske take-away og dine-in steder – så meget at vi nu har åbnet hele 6 steder i København. Vi har nærmest intet madspild – faktisk har vi så lidt at bevægelsen mod madspild, Too Good To Go fandt det unødvendigt at inkludere os på deres app og platform, selvom vi allerede havde underskrevet en kontrakt om samarbejde. De gode, gammeldags metoder i det indiske køkken giver nemlig maden en naturlig og bæredygtig holdbarhed. Desuden har vi alle vores madvarer på køl, og den endelige ret laves først, når du bestiller den - og vi bruger aldrig mere, end det du får. Alt fra vores bæreposer, menukort og take-away-skåle er fremstillet af 100% genanvendt, ubleget papir. Både vores poser og menukort kan sorteres som papir - men vi anbefaler at man genanvender posen så meget som muligt først. For at skålene skal kunne tåle den varme, flydende mad, er en tynd plast-coating på indersiden nødvendig. Derfor skal skåle og tilhørende låg sorteres som almindeligt husholdningsaffald. Vi støtter organisationen Plastic Change, fordi vi også vil være med til at gøre en aktiv forskel for miljøet. Al vores strøm kommer fra vedvarende energikilder certificeret af vores el-leverandør Natur Energi.

Smagfuld mad venlige personale
Jeg besøgte Bindia Restaurant for nylig, og jeg kan ærligt sige, at jeg blev blæst væk af deres butter chicken. Det var simpelthen lækker! Kyllingen var saftig og mørt, og saucen havde den perfekte balance mellem krydderi og cremethed.
Men det var ikke kun maden, der gjorde mit besøg mindeværdigt. Personalet var utroligt venligt og imødekommende. De var altid klar til at besvare spørgsmål og sikre, at jeg havde en fantastisk oplevelse. Atmosfæren på restauranten var også dejlig og hyggelig.

Fantastisk mad og venligt personale. Jeg har hentet mad hos Bindia i Lyngby i mange år, helt tilbage fra 2013. Jeg har aldrig fået en bedre butter chicken end hos Bindia. Jeg har i mange år boet for langt væk, men da jeg skulle besøge en veninde i Søborg var der ingen tvivl om, at vi skulle have mad fra den “nye” restaurant i Søborg. Nemt at bestille på nettet - og endda med rabat ved afhentning. Meget venligt af manden bag disken at spørge om jeg godt vidste, at der ikke fulgte ris med (da jeg ikke havde bestilt nogen, vi laver dem selv). Super god service. Smilende og hurtigt fik jeg maden til tiden. Butter Chicken var fantastisk som altid, jeg havde helt glemt
HVOR god den er. Deres Coconut Tamarind er en ny favorit - noget varmere og stærkere end Butter Chicken, men stadig virkelig lækker til mine mere sarte danske smagsløg. Jeg kommer som altid igen.

Værste oplevelse - betalte ekstra for at sidde og spise på “restauranten” på Amagerbrogade, hvilket man så regnede med man fik nogenlunde service for. 155 for en ret UDEN ris og skulle bede om at få tallerkener, glas havde de ikke og bestikket var i plastik, sløjeste oplevelse for rigtig mange penge. Absolut ingen service. Risene kom længe inden selve retten og var kolde da resten af maden kom.

Let's address your concerns:
-Bindia is not a restaurant-
My guess is that you presumed Bindia to be a restaurant instead of a takeaway (forgive me if I'm wrong).
Our entire chain/concept is that all of our Bindia shops are exclusively takeaways, most of them with the facility of "Dine-in".
The name "Restaurant" is neither mentioned on our website, nor at any of our premises.
At most of our shops, we do provide tables for dine-in purposes (to enjoy your takeaway meal at the shop). But we don't offer table service, neither in regards to ordering and paying, nor to serving. I'm not sure how you got a different impression, but please do tell me, so I can fix it. We are definitely not trying to give anybody the impression that we are running a restaurant.
-Paying extra for dine-in?-
Regarding your comment on paying extra, I have to tell you that you've got it upside down:
We have our regular prices (which you paid), and then we have our discounted "orange prices", which apply ONLY for pickup orders that are paid in our webshop at bindia.dk. So every other order type (i.e. delivery orders, Wolt orders, Just-Eat orders, phone orders, dine-in orders, etc.) pays the same regular prices as you did - we DON'T charge extra for dine-in guests.
-Bad service-
I recognize that besides the 2 issues described above, which I have now explained, you have received a service that is not satisfactory, and for this I truly apologize! Obviously all of your items should have been served at the same time, and we do have regular plates, cutlery and glasses, so it's unsatisfactory that you had issues with this.
-Gift card-
If you share your email address with me, I would love to issue a gift card for you for 50% off your next order. And then I would recommend you to try placing an order at Bindia.dk to enjoy the discounted prices :)

Food was cold when I came home and the mango lassi tasted of water, the naan bread was like chewing a gum and no taste to it. And the butter chicken was without taste as well. So all in all a very disappointing meal.

I checked the data in our system regarding your order:
Date: 21/11/2023
1. The order was made and paid at our website at 16:52.
2. The order was due for pickup at 17:15 approx.
3. The order was ready at 17:12 (3 minutes earlier than the given approx. pick-up time).
4. The order was closed in the POS (cash register) after pickup at 17:23 (8 min. after the estimated ready time).
-Cold Food-
As documented above, you picked up the order around 10 min. after it was done at our kitchen. It is very limited how much our food can cool down in 10 min. when standing inside, in our warm kitchen. And once the food leaves our shop, the temperature of the food is no longer in our control and it depends on factors which we have no control over:
1. How the weather is outside.
2. How far the food has travelled, and under which circumstances (there is a big difference between car and bike in the wintertime).
3. When the food was consumed.
Of course, we all can only wish that the takeaway is served on our dining table, the same way it's served in a restaurant, but unfortunately, the time gap between preparation and consumption is inevitable. We would always replace cold food if it was a Dine-in order, but for takeaway orders, our promise is to have the food ready and warm on the agreed pick-up time.
-Mango Lassi tasted of water-
I am sorry to hear that our Mango Lassis didn't live up to your expectations.
I do acknowledge that some people have the perception of Mango Lassi to be very thick, but in fact, in India, that kind is called "mango shake". In India, people drink Lassi to quench their thirst and it contains a higher percentage of water than ours. Making it thicker would make it a "mango dessert", not a "mango lassi".
-Nan Bread Issue-
I'm sorry if the Nan was dry. Having smaller kitchens we can not room a full-fledged tandoor, therefore, half-baked Nan is received from our production kitchen which we bake at Bindia. Since our Nans are not mass-produced, unfortunately, some Nans don't get top marks all the time.
-Butter Chicken-
I'm sorry that our Butter Chicken didn't live up to your expectations this time. However, I assure you that we haven't changed the recipe. Butter Chicken is our most sold dish, so if there's a general issue with it, we would know it right away.
Nevertheless, I admit that some minor fluctuations might occur once in a while because we use organic tomatoes, which vary in taste. For example, two organic oranges from different trees and different areas would not have the same sweetness and sourness levels. In this case, it could be that the tomatoes' taste would have varied to some extent, affecting the overall taste of Butter curry.
Although we have not received any other complaints about the Butter curry, we will conduct a thorough quality control check based on your feedback. If we identify any minor inconsistencies, rest assured they will be improved before your next order with us.
-Gift Card-
I have taken the liberty to issue you a gift card worth 50% of your order, which I have already sent to your email address.

When you arrive Saturday night after a 14 hours trip, you can't shop a lot, so we were looking for some take away and found B'india. What was ordered was ready in time for pickup and just the way we expected it. Kudos to the team. A highlight to our holiday in Copenhagen.

Jeg har spist fra B’India i mange år og det er det eneste, som kan måle sig med min mors egen hjemmelavede mad, der følger opskrifter som går flere generationer tilbage. Sagt på en anden måde, det er den mest autentiske madoplevelse du kan få.
Og så er det ovenikøbet lavet med økologiske råvarer og masser af kærlighed.

Taste of tomato. Not India
Both dishes, Butter chicken and Tikka Masala, tasted more of tomato than spices, ginger and garlic.
The Naan seemed ready made from a pro bakery, and also lacked crispiness and flavor.
Overall a very bland experience which I will not try again nor recommend to others.

It’s a coincidence that both the dishes you tried are mild in their characteristics & we at Bindia serve the dishes the way they’re originally born.
Coming to tomatoes, yes, you are right, tomatoes are a dominant part of Butter Chicken and Tikka Masala. We use organic tomatoes and the organic ingredients tend to vary in taste because they don’t go through standard industrial processes.
My Recommendations:
As our menu is extensive, we do have strong and flavoursome options as well. May I recommend you try some of the options that have a lot more kick. For example, Madras, Jeera Masala curry & Coconut Tamarind Curry.
Please try one of the above mentioned recommended curries, if you still don't like it then I would gladly issue a Gift Card to you.
**Naan seemed ready made from a pro bakery**
I apologize if our naan bread didn't meet your expectations.
Unfortunately, your Nans must have been in one of the 10-15% of those which are not up to the mark when it is done in our clay oven. We have already sent you a gift card. :)

You don't get that kind of well-prepared dish in many places.
If you like fried rice, nuts, a little raisins, chicken, lamb or no meat at all, as well as the three strengths to choose from, standard hot, x-hot, then you are well on your way to the extremely interesting Indian cuisine, the recommendation is straightforward 👍

De sælger retter til 150-190 kroner og så følger der ikke engang ris med. Meget dårlig stil. Nu måtte vi selv koge ris så retterne blev kolde.

Your review is of great importance to us. Regardless of I can't locate your order I'll try to reply as good as I can, for the benefit of all our customers.
The prices you're mentioning hint me that your order wasn't placed at Bindia.dk but at Wolt or JustEat.
**Expensive?**
Our "Orange prices" (for Pickup orders paid at bindia.dk) are atleast 20% cheaper than 3rd party prices.
Why "Orange Prices":
The 20% higher prices on third-party are basically to compensate the 33% commission they charge from us. "Orange Prices" reward our own Bindia.dk customers. Therefore 95% of our customers enjoy them.
**Rice as a side dish**
I understand the confusion you might have faced on not getting rice as a side dish.
We admit that a few Indian takeaways/restaurants have adopted this trend to give rice by default, copying Thai & Chinese restaurants. To follow the Indian cuisine's culinary traditions, we have kept the "Sides"(Rice) separate, the same way it's done in India.
We serve curries in typical Indian tradition where you can choose different kinds of Rice, Nan, Paratha, Raita etc., as sides. This gives them the freedom to choose their favourite sides.
**Why webshop didn't ask you about Rice**
I'm sorry (according to my supposition), If third party's webshop did not notify about rice not being included; apparently, they need to improve their UI/UX.
On the contrary, Bindia.dk clearly mentions
1. "no Sides" next to the word "Curries."
2. "Huskede du at bestille Sides (tilbehør)?"
at the checkout page.
I wish I could attach screenshots, but Trustpilot doesn't allow me.
**A humble request**
Apparently third party's poor UI/UX gave us the punishment. We'll be thankful, if based on my explanation, may you reconsider your review, thanks. :)

Great Food, Great Service
Tried the Madras Chicken with Rice in their Amager branch and it was top-notch. The spice was just right - enough kick without burning your mouth. Plus, they didn’t skimp on the portions either. Hands down, the best Indian food I've had in the city so far.

Det er en sikker service som bliver overset når man bestiller online... netbestilling burde have en foranstaltning som spørger dig om du vil have ris el andet med efter du har valgt din ret. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find any order with your name. May I get the receipt / the order id? this will help address the concerns.
**Why sides (Nan or Rice) are not included by default**
We do understand that most of the other Indian eatries follow the practice of giving rice by default, are copying Chinese and Thai restaurants. In our opinion, this is a bad tradition.
We serve the food in typical Indian tradition. In Indian culture, there is a wide range of sides to choose from, for example, Rice (different kinds of rice), Nan (different kinds of nan), Biryanis, Parathas, Raitas, Chutneys, Papadums, Salads & god knows how many more.
Giving rice by default will limit the freedom to enjoy the Indian food to its full potential.
**"Sides not included" is mentioned**
We try our best by doing the followings:
1. "no Sides" next to the "Curries"
2. "Huskede du at bestille Sides (tilbehør)?" once while checking your cart/basket and once on the checkout page
3. Our Webshop shows a pop-up if no / fewer Rice than Dishes without sides are chosen.
I wish I could attach screenshots showing the above mentioned, but Trustpilot doesn't allow me.
Please suggest if it’s not enough. :)
