Order NEVER delivered + TERRIBLE customer service

Placed an order online and paid extra for same day delivery - item was never delivered, and when I finally got through to customer service (after being placed on hold for 90+ minutes), Big Lots said they were not responsible and could not refund me. Absolutely terrible customer service, avoid shopping here unless you want to just create more problems for yourself.

Just visited the Poway location

Just visited the Poway location, staff member, I think her name is Jerdy, was so annoyed when I asked for assistance with a product that was on the very top of the shelf which clearly has signs to ask a staff member for assistance for the products on the top of the shelf. She huffed and puffed like a little child for being “bothered” to do her job, I was so shocked that with her attitude to assist, that when she walked away unknowingly if she was going to assist, i climbed the shelf below and grabbed myself. Please hire people that want to do their job, as this individual is representing your company very poorly.

Incompetent Managers and Staff

I visited the store in Escondido, CA today to return two items with my receipt for a total of $5.38. It was a bad experience from the beginning. The moment I walked into the store, there was no one was available at the front counter registers. As I approached the empty registers an employee seemingly came out of nowhere. During my return process, none of the credit card machines worked when I entered my debit card for the return, and both the employee and manager on duty gave me a hard time with my return. They offered me store credit because the machines didn't work and I refused that because I originally paid with my debit card. So, I asked if they could give me cash back and they refused with an attitude. Finally, after many failed attempts by me, my wife tried the card one last time by using the tap method instead of inserting it and it worked. My refund was processed and I left upset at the poor service that I experienced while I was there.

Went elsewhere and was treated like a valuable customer

Well, I never got the furniture, The last conversation was full of promises, never contacted again, I filed a dispute with my credit card company and they are working to get my money back. Went to a local furniture company and bought couch, chair and a half, an ottman and the rug in the display. Was treated so nice, we became friends with the mgr.,She followed us to our car just talking and laughing with us. Furniture was delivered yesterday exactly when promised, delivery men were so friendly, enjoyed meeting them. They placed the furniture right where I wanted it and left with smiles on their faces and a friendly goodbye. I paid a little more for this furniture but it was worth it just for being treated like an important customer to them. I am sure Chase will be able to get my money, they were very understanding and were surprised that a company would conduct business in such an uncaring way.
I told the woman at Big Lots she should get another job somewhere else. She was such a nice person but she was not able to do anything for me. I would be ashamed to work in a store like Big Lots who cares so little about their customers.

Fire the entire rude Management Team

Fire the entire rude, obnoxious, and less than useless Management team. If you won't do that, then close the store to make space for a store with a much better shopping experience. Manager Adam G. is just plain nuts and has sworn at me many times. He said the Management Team has his back and will stand up for him. You should have fired him and many other Managers in Coldwater, Michigan many years ago. No wonder Big Lots stock price has dropped down so low now. The stock is still a horrible buy even at $1 a share with people like Adam G. and some other useless Managers embedded into the fabric of stores like Coldwater, Michigan.

The worse Customer Service I ever dealt…

The worse Customer Service I ever dealt with!!!!! I spent 1hour on Hold, finally a foreign person came on the line, could not understand them. Than they stated the item was shipped, I order it 1 hour before , I was on hold for a hour. So there is no way it was shipped. Than he put me on hold for another 20 minutes. When he came back he said he Put a request in to canceled Could not guarantee it would happen . I asked them to send me a email stated that, he stated he could not . I will NEVER go into a Big Lots our shop on line.

I hadn't been to Big Lots in many…

I hadn't been to Big Lots in many years. We moved and my friend told me where the Big Lots store was, so I needed some pantry storage cabinets or just storage cabinets so I went and they had to different sizes. I bought one of each and the help I received was great. The store manager took great care of my husband and myself. He explained that the items I wanted would have to be ordered, which was know problem. He explained how it all works and how they would contact us. He told us about how there rewards benefits work and to check out there site online. This store is very clean and there employees care and are very helpful. Yes, I will be telling my family and friends to shop Big Lots in Piqua, OH. I know I will return. A big thumbs up to Mark the store manager.

Unprofessional company

I always go to this store I placed an order on line waited all day and I was sick called them up finally got somebody after half an hour said it’s on its way then someone called to reassure it’s coming 3 hrs past called again and they tell me unfortunately they couldn’t deliver but on Monday then transferred me again I wanted my refund spoke to manage she said money not taken out yet but yet it is taken out of my bank account transferred me again waited 30 mins and again finally someone answered me and made a case number then transferred me again waited for 45 mins no one pick up this company is inconsiderate unprofessional they were so non chalant about me waiting from 8 am to 6 pm no calls nothing I will never shop again and hope they return my money !!!!

Horrible experience with corporate office...

Have been dealing with a person "Jennifer S. | Sr Claim Examiner" about issue with two (2) Lane recliners. Worst experience I have ever had at any retail outlet.

Explained to her how dangerous the recliners are and even provided photos to show. The recliners are very cheaply made and are dangerous. At any time, a plastic parts snaps resulting in person be dumped out of chair sideways.

This Biglots rep does not care about customers. Just stopped responding to me with no reason. I have been very calm throughout the horrible experience and have email records and recording of conversation.

I will not be doing future business with Biglots simply because of this person.

I frequently visit the Big Lots store…

I frequently visit the Big Lots store in Boyertown Pa. There is a gentleman that works there that actually has me coming back so often. His name is River. I have never in all my 37 years have ever been treated like this kind and beautiful soul does. Whenever I can't find something or looking for a idea for my never ending downstairs remodel he is right there and he always goes out of his way to make sure I leave with a (big) smile on my face.So charming. Trust me Chivalry is not dead.

Went to big lots yesterday for a soda, was screamed at rudely From behind by worker while on the phone telling me to leave my bag at the front door. I’ve come there a few times in the last few days and have never been told this, and surely not rudely. I carry a weapon, I also keep a travel safe/gun safe in my bag. I’m not comfortable leaving my bag. I tell her I’m just going to get a soda from the front and walk away. I wait for check out, someone is in front of me, they check out and as they are ending there process I am invited to come to the register of the same rude representative. I ignore and wait for the customer in front of me to finish. She was very polite. She scanned my big lots card and finished my purchase. Beside her was the rude representative. I tell her she was rude in her approach. Her response was along the lines of whatever/ok. I will not return to this location. Not worth the hassle. However I do like the store but I’ll take that loss.

Suspicious Survey phone call

Survey link on receipt to enter drawing for $1000 giftcard would not ask questions in English. Called & got 866-219-5606 to call for the survey which I did on 3-19-22 at about 9:30am. A man with a bad accent asked for my name, address, phone, birthday & credit card number. I said you don't need all that to do a survey! I asked for a supervisor but none was available. I wonder what he would have done if I had given him all of that personal info?

Great manager!

I bought a sofa and a table + 4 stools from the Casselberry store and I was very well assisted by the manager Samantha. She was very kind and helpful. My sofa came with a defect but she solved the problem right away. I wish every store had a manager like her.
If I could score the store over 10 I would. Thank you guys!

meh meh

I was followed by a cashier for no good reason as if I was a thief. I called the manager when I got home and she acted like a teenager on the phone saying "hello, hello?" as if mocking me. I told her what happened and she said she would talk to him and see what really happened. (now I'm a thief and liar) I called the corporate number and received a Ref # and was told district manager would look into it and call me back within 24-48 hours. She did not. I called back and entered the ref # and it just said it was closed and there was no further information. Obviously even their customer service is a joke. This could have been resolved at any point easily by one of three people, but they felt like being unprofessional and childlike about this.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY. They charged a friend of mine 150+ dollars for shipping on a couch that she’s been waiting a long time for. She took off work so she can be there for when it would be delivered but They canceled her order without her knowledge and now she has to wait even longer for her couch to come in. When she was trying to find out what was going on all they said was there’s NotHiNg We CaN dO. Take you’re money somewhere else because this business will rob you. I would rather eat organic animal crackers than do business with this company.

I was in the store in 23 miles and…

I was in the store in 23 miles and vandyk yesterday to buy a Christmas tree the tree was on sale and it was 200$ the tree was large and comes in 2 boxes and they charge me for both boxes and the manager said yes it is 200 for each box unbelievable also the sign said all food gift wrap are 50% off and the manager insist it is 25% off.

I ordered to blankets on December 13…

I ordered to blankets on December 13 which told me I would be receiving them on Dec 15 or 16 . Today is the 18 and they are still in processing not to mention I payed for priority shipping. I have called and called keep getting all of these excuses so my next call will be to corporate office
