I went to the Big Lots store in Duluth, GA

I went to the Big Lots store in Duluth, GA hoping to find some of what I was looking for. I had set up a pick up in 2 other Big Lot stores. I went to one previously, and got a couple things.

But, this store in Duluth, GA had everything and more that I was looking for. Not only that, their store was SO clean and organized!
The workers were very helpful and friendly, not one, but everyone I came in contact with. They were all busy putting up stock, organizing, even the store manager!

He even helped at the checkout, because I had a lot of fragile items, and he packed each one separately!

I don't always write reviews. It has to be a very bad experience, which...it has to be real bad, or real good!

I just had to write a review. It's not the closest Big Lots to me, but convenience in location is not always best.

Kudos to this very efficient store staff!

I shall be back! ☺️

I bought $55.00 worth of toys

I bought $55.00 worth of toys. Sale was buy 1 get 50% off the second. I ask the cashier if it was applied. She told me yes. No it was not. Bought Lg toilet paper. She charged me twice for only one. I signed up for a Big Lot Reward card, which was suppose to give me 15% off the first purchase. Did not get the discount. I don't know if they pocketed the $$ or was just incompetence. Won't go back.

IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD. I PLACED AN ONLINE ORDER. IT SAID THERE WAS AN ERROR AND COULD NOT BE PROCESSED DUE TO ITEMS IN MY CART NOT BEING AVAILABLE AND SENT ME BACK TO MY CART PAGE. MY CARD WAS STILL CHARGED!!!! NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 2 WEEKS TO GET MY MONEY BACK. THIS IS BULL!! HOW CAN YOU CHARGE ME IF NO ORDER WAS PLACED?? Poor customer service and no support for their staff

I went on Big Lots website and ordered a mattress to be delivered to their Milford Ct store. It came in and they notified me. I called the store and told them I was painting and asked if they could hold for 2 weeks. They said no problem. I went to pick it up yesterday and they said they cancelled however it was still in the warehouse. She said she would have to re ring the sale and couldn’t give the same price and wanted to charge me $300 more than the original price. She said she did not how to give the discount and tried calling a manager, and the manager did not pick up. She then tried calling corporate, and they said they did not how to do it. Very frustrating. I felt bad for the associate because she had absolutely no training and no support. I would never ever deal with big lots again. Horrible customer experience. They should be ashamed of themselves, the worst part about it was when I told her to forget about it she never even asked to take my name down to have somebody call me back. I do not recommend big lots and I highly recommend you stay away from that store.

Big Lots ordering online BIG WASTE

Big Lots ordering to pick up. What a waste of time!!
after putting 15 items in my cart, they announced that i had Mutiple pick up locations! Like I'm not going to drive all over the County to p/u items. Once all those other city items were weeded out, I went to pay for my cart, they wanted payment without giving me a day/time of pick up! I was using online ordering as I am short of time. I called Customer Service and got a girl who didn't have a clue what to do. What a huge waste of time!

Brief but friendly

I was only in the store yesterday for 10 minutes and had my things in my arms and two different employees asked if I needed a basket including Sonia at the register which made me feel very special and then again at Sonia's register. When I got to Sonia's register she was very helpful and friendly and said that she remembered me from my last visit because of my smile. I said thank you and complimented her smile too because smiles are very rare these days. Thank you for hiring people like Sonia I'm sure I'm going to continue to enjoy my shopping experience at my Big lots Lake Jackson Texas 😍

I like big lots and shop there often

I like big lots and shop there often. However I had an awful experience today. After spending an hour in the store and getting everything I needed I went to check out and the cashier looked down and drooled into my bag alot! I tried to be tactful and said honey you drooled all over my purchases. She did not say anything just took the stuff out put it in a different bag wiped her .mouth and chin with her hand and proceeded to touch the rest of my things. I didn't want to embarrass her but I didn't know what to do. I asked a manager without her seeing I told him what happened and he said I could reshop everything. Well I had spent enough time In the store and needed to leave. On the way home iwas getting more Andorra grossed out. Somebody like that should not work directly with the public!! What an awful experience. With no apology or anything.

Big Lots used to have great prices

Big Lots used to have great prices on all kinds of items. Food, home decor, tools. I can get any item they sell cheaper at retail stores like Walmart, Harbor Freight, Dollar Store, Target. Hell their foods items are cheaper to buy at the gas stations. Big Lots used to be one of my to go to stores. I could care less about them now. When I think of shopping they're not even on my mind anymore. So damn expensive.

Lazy Manager and faulty websites

I was under the impression of getting hired on at a new Big Lots in town. The hiring manager seemed nice and all in the interview, (after trying to wrap my head around their sketchy website that crashes every other time), the Manager was lazy, unorganized and was lacking some of the skills of being a manager, I was waiting for a background check for going on over a month. I have kept calling the manager for the background check as, and I quote "Whats your email, ill send it to you when I have a chance..." I gave the manager my email several times and even spelled it out, letter by letter, number by number and still no effort of sending it, and with no hesitation dropped the whole hiring situation like nothing, I was rejected all because their faulty career website and a lazy manager
If possible I would put a 0/5 stars because Big Lots was a Big Waist of my time

Bad customer service!

The furniture counter person named Mary was very rude to me and my family! We were trying to purchase 2 childrens recliners. There were no signs made for the furniture stating they were display chairs so we took them to the front to pay for them. We were told to take them back to the furniture counter where Mary was to help us get the chairs that we could buy! When I approached her she was very rude talking to me about leasing. I was not sure as to what was going on at that moment because my husband was coming over and I thought he had already purchased the chairs. The lady who was helping us spoke very fast and was hard to understand, I heard from her to meet Mary and exchange the chairs. I was trying to explain to Mary that we had already purchased the chairs on our big lots card and she continued to be rude and argue with me instead of having customer service and explaining the situation, she continued with an attitude in front of other customers about leasing. First of all there should be signage on all the furniture to communicate to us customers what is displays! That would help these kindof misunderstanding situations from happening! It was very confusing! We had our children with us, one of them has special needs which is Autism and he didn't understand why we were having to go back in the store with the chairs we were getting for our kids,, he became very upset! We know our limit with him when it comes to shopping, un and out. We do not go out with him very often, but when we do we understand that we can't take very much time! We should have never had to go through that rucuss, they should have brought the chairs to the front instead of having us go back inside the store! We left the Everett Big Lots store not purchasing anything and we will never purchase anything from this store again! We have already purchased furniture from this store a few weeks ago, a king size bed and fireplace! These are big purchases for our family and we were planning on purchasing more! Big Lots in Everett we will never purchase from again! Mary who works at the furniture counter needs to get a different job and not work in customer service! She has disrespected our family and our hard earned money will go towards another furniture store!

Christmas decorations…

I was needing 8 Christmas decorations but could only find 4. I spoke with employee DAWN who was extremely helpful. She put a notice out if the additional ones were found let her know. I got a call next day and they saved them for me. Then I found two $10 coupons that I was allowed to use. Thanks to DAWN!!👏🏻👏🏻

Big Lot's deceptive delivery.

My wife and I purchase a recliner online. Paid for advertised $99.00 same day delivery. We were contacted by the delivery service and told there was a delay. Ok. Next day delivery was scheduled with delivery between 10 am and 2PM. So far so good. Recieved a text stating an additional delivery delay. My wife enquired about a refund of the $99.00 next day delivery fee and were told by delivery people that it was not a delivery fee, but a service fee. Wouldn't budge. Okay. Day 3, another text stating another delivery delay. We cancelled the order. Big Lot's needs to either update the online "next day delivery " to reflect a delivery service fee vice a next day delivery fee, or educate the delivery people. Either way, it is currently very deceiving on their own website. @biglots.

ZERO stars

ZERO stars-Tried to buy sofa in store-was out of stock there & everywhere nearby. Could not be ordered unless paid for & was told it may come in tomorrow, in a few months, or not at all. Would not sell floor model. Went online-found exact electric reclining loveseat as the sofa I wanted in store-curiously smaller but at same price. Ordered it w/next day delivery from my local store. After waiting 5.5 hrs-3rd party delivery company charging me $100 said they had no employees to do the delivery from the store out of town (what happened to delivery from local store 5 miles away?). Same excuse today when they cancelled again when I called up to track delivery. Like anyone w/common sense, I cancelled delivery w/them & then called Big Lots to take care of this-was told it’s my responsibility to get the sofa & they have nothing to do w/delivery (was advertised on website so…?). Was told this by store, then representative from corporate. Only advice from both-just cancel the order. So after all this “inconvenience” & waiting I have no seating, so I cancelled my Big Lots account, credit card, rewards card, will never shop there again online or in store, & will be writing several reviews & filing complaints against both companies w/BBB.

I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased anything from Big Lots. I bought a pool and after filling it up with water it came apart at the seam. Took it back to the Vidalia Ga store and it was refused said you have to call customer service, which I did 3 times and still have never gotten a call back and I'm still out the price of a pool. Come on Big Lots you can do better than this!!

Order cancelation experience

Now, this is an Online order review not an in store review. I love going into Big Lots and shopping it's always been a great experience for me. However, this time I decided to buy my daughter a bed in a bag set it was pretty reasonable. But as the day went on I kept thinking it's too childish for her (she's 12). It looked like an 8 yr old bed set. So I tried to cancel it and order another one and My word the hoops I had to jump through to TRY to cancel it was downright ridiculous. I had to wait for different departments to email me back. One told me I had to call the local store to cancel it and the store number they was across the country from me. All if it was a stall tactic just to say " Oh it's shipped already it can not be canceled." So now when it comes in today I have to take it to my local store, which I don't drive. I already purchased another one for her and she received that set before that one. I guess I'll stick to in store purchases at Big Lots.
