I understand the need for a proof of purchase but a lot of people paid a lot of extra cost for these eggs years ago BECAUSE of the customer service alone.  I could have gotten a comado or vision or any number of ceramic cookers with many more accessories for a lot less cost.  I thought I was buying the last smoker I would ever purchase so we spent the extra money, and here we are.  It is sad and hugely disappointing that this is what your customer service has become.  When the stack cover broke 4 or 5 years ago I called in and they sent one out that day no questions and now you are searching for any reason to deny.  Guess I will finally get to try a Pit Boss pellet smoker, thanks anyway Green Egg.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY!
Right in the middle of BBqing on Memorial Day my husband opened the dome to turn over the food on the grill and the dome actually fell right out of the frame onto the floor! Ok-no problem... lifetime warranty. Went thru the hassle of digging up the receipt after 9 years-found it-I save everything! Went thru the hassle of registering it and low and behold I get an email blaming me for the incident. " I should have been checking the band / hinge" and warranty only applies to normal cooking. OK- I wasn't dancing on the thing! I would have felt better if they would have just said it was out of warranty than blaming me.
Also, not to mention that had one of my kids / guests had been behind the grill, we would probably be talking "law suit".
Still can't even believe it fell apart.

This company’s customer service is horrible, they do not return calls and i have had to make multiple warranty claims as they do not honor the original warranty contract

I had a kamado bbq with a cracked fire box. I had not been able to find a replacement any where. On a hunch I contacted Green Egg. They checked my measurements and arranged to send me replacement. It arrived via a lorry to within a minute of the stated delivery time.
Excellent customer service, top quality product backed up by extremely professional delivery service.
Very very pleased!

I have owned a big green egg for 20 years and never had an issue on my warranty which I last used 8 years or so ago. I just made an inquiry and was informed I needed to register and provide a proof of purchase and they would not honor the warranty.

I have no way to prove my purchase or proof I registered it. Talking to the dealers they commented this was a new ask as they could handle in the past but no longer able.

I will not by another egg as the service has become unacceptable. Also have to buy an entire kit to get a part for my hinges vs just the item I need

There are several other options to choose from today so may be best to research their service record before purchasing. Still trying to get my warranty honored or at least new parts should I purchase replacements that fall in the purview of the warranty.

Worst ever customer service. I can not reach someone and have multiple voice messages and emails with them without any response. My order, number 153970, has not been delivered.

I am having a hard time understanding why there are not a lot of reviews for this product. I got one for Christmas a couple of years ago and I love this thing. There is no telling how many propane gas grills I have thrown away or given away in my lifetime. I use this to grill and smoke. You can't smoke meat on a propane grill. I have never been dissappointed with the results. The initial investment is more than a gas grill, but consider how many gas grills you have to replace burners or just buy a new grill. Over time, I would have saved a lot of money if I just had bought one of these in the first place.
