I’m sorry you’ve had this experience. I want to clarify that your rug is handmade to order, which takes about 3–5 weeks before shipping. Your order is right on schedule and is now ready to ship. You’ll receive your tracking details as soon as it’s with the courier.

We’re a small team and sometimes slower to reply than we’d like, but we’re very much here and committed to delivering your rug. I hope this helps clear up any misunderstanding.

I understand your concern. Our rugs are handmade to order, and production typically takes 3–5 weeks before shipping. “Preparing for Shipment” means your rug has been in the final stages of being made and packaged, but not yet handed to the courier. You’ll receive tracking details very soon.

We’re a small artisan team and sometimes slower to reply than we’d like, but we’re here and committed to delivering your rug as promised.

Just as a note — the time to make a rug can vary depending on its size and the knot density. For example, an 8x8 ft rug can sometimes be completed in 2 weeks, while another of the same size might take 5 weeks if it has a higher number of knots per square foot. This higher knot density directly impacts the craftsmanship and quality of the final piece.

We’re sorry for any frustration caused, but we’d like to clarify the situation for anyone reading:
The missing item you mentioned was actually a free gift—a pillow cover—not part of your paid order. Unfortunately, customs in Australia removed it from your shipment, which is out of our hands and beyond our control.

We did reach out to you by email with a selection of 10 different pillow covers for you to choose from as a replacement, but we never received a reply.

We value every customer and always aim to resolve any issues as quickly as possible. If you’d still like to receive your free pillow cover, please reply to our last email or contact us at Contact@BerberHandicraft.com, and we’ll send your chosen gift right away.

• Customs & Duties:
We clearly state at checkout and in our shipping policy that international customers may be responsible for local duties and taxes. This is standard for all imports, not unique to our shop.
• Rug Thickness & Size:
Our rugs are handmade, which means small variations in size and thickness can happen. However, a difference of more than 15cm is not normal. If your rug is truly that much shorter, please send us a photo with measurements to contact@berberhandicraft.com . We’ll investigate and make it right.
• Comparisons:
We can’t speak for other sellers, but our pricing reflects the use of premium wool and ethical artisan work—never mass-produced or machine-made.
