Steve was a great driving instructor, passed first time

I had a really good experience learning to drive with Steve Trimnell. I have just passed my test first time in Avonmouth. Steve is a good, patient instructor who gives clear instructions and has really helped build my confidence with driving. I have anxiety and thought it'd take me ages to learn but with Steve's help I've managed to pass within less than a year.

I was a new driver in the UK and David really guided me well through the whole process. He genuinely understood what I needed to guide me in a very clear and simple way from the basics.

He was always punctual, generous with his time, and made the lessons feel friendly, comfortable with a dash of really useful tips and tricks.

At the same time, he was critical, like an examiner, when needed and very knowledgeable, about the driving tests which made me go through real experiences.

I just passed my driving test, and I honestly
Dharmesh is a calm, polite, patient, and genuinely kind teacher. Whenever I made mistakes during my lessons, he always corrected me calmly and respectfully, without ever making me feel embarrassed or discouraged.

He gave me confidence, helped me believe in my abilities, and always made me feel capable of improving. I could truly feel that he cared about my progress and genuinely wanted me to succeed.

Dharmesh is a fantastic instructor, and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone learning to drive. If you’re looking for a patient, supportive, and professional driving instructor, choose Dharmesh—you won’t regret it!

Thank you, Dharmeshbhai.

I can’t recommend Dharmesh enough! He was a brilliant instructor - always calm, patient and encouraging. I just passed my test today with no faults! He explained everything clearly and helped me build my confidence, never making me feel bad when I made mistakes. I’m so grateful for all his help and would definitely recommend him to anyone learning to drive!

Hi, I passed my driving test today in the first attempt and I am so grateful to my instructor Dharmesh from Bennett.

Dharmesh is an amazing teacher. He is very patient, gives very clear instructions, and takes great care in teaching beginners. As a first-time driver, I felt completely at ease learning with him. His guidance and encouragement helped me gain confidence and clear the test .

Highly recommend Dharmesh to anyone who wants to learn to drive. Thank you so much …

Amazing instructor Steve, helped me pass first time despite my nerves, proper instructor helps learn very quick and very reliable

Sham Patwal was an incredible driving instructor who gave me the confidence and skills to pass my automatic test first time and push through my driving anxiety. I cannot recommend him enough to anyone looking to learn regardless of your ability, confidence or current skill level. He is incredibly patient and a great driving instructor with all the knowledge to help anyone pass their test. I highly recommend Sham and will 100% be referring him to family and friends looking to start lessons.

Dharmesh is the most patient, friendly and knowledgeable instructor. I passed my driving test first time! His style of teaching is impeccable. Paired with his knowledge of specific routes and test areas, which enabled me to become very test-ready within 2 months of learning. Wishing Dharmesh all of the best and I recommend him so much to first time learners like me! If I had the option I would give him 10 stars.

Couldn’t recommend my driving instructor enough! From the very first lesson Dharmesh was patient, friendly and made me feel so confident in the lessons and before my test. Every lesson was both productive and enjoyable and I managed to pass with his support and guidance which I am so grateful for - highly recommend him for anyone learning to drive

I just passed my driving test with Dharmesh as my instructor.
He is an amazing instructor who made me feel incredibly comfortable driving.
His explanations are clear and he makes sure to cater the lessons to what I need to practice, making sure I felt confident before moving on.

Thank you again Dharmesh for all your support!

Was taught by Steve as a fresh new driver, was absolutely brilliant and extremely helpful.

Because of him I managed to pass first time with ease, being more then prepared for both the test and driving independently outside of test conditions.

Great instructor and lovely person, would definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn to drive.

Started driving lessons with dharmesh on automatic for my test in Mill Hill a few months ago. Just passed my test yesterday.

Having failed once before in Pinner a few years ago I was especially cautious in choosing an instructor this time. I was recommended his number from a friend.
From the first lesson I knew even if I failed my next test I wouldn’t change the instructor.

Part of what made driving so challenging was as a beginner there’s constantly so much new input on the roads. Being too close on the left, checking mirrors, road signs, being aware of speed limits etc etc. previous instructors would take all that input and constantly provide too many corrections to process. By the time one feedback was listened to it would then cause another mistake as my attention was diverted which would spiral out.

Dharmesh did a fantastic job of taking everything into consideration, only telling me what was immediately necessary, otherwise patiently pausing and waiting till we were parked to give me feedback when I could process it.

His temperament is very calm and positive which also help to recover from mistakes made on the road while driving.

All in all, couldn’t recommend an instructor more. I don’t just feel as though I’ve passed my test, I feel like I’ve been given the confidence of knowing how to drive safely on the roads.

Just passed my test at Kingswood test centre with Steve Trimnell. Steve is a brilliant, knowledgable, skilled and patient instructor. Highly recommended.

Had a amazing experience learning to drive with Stephen Trimnell would highly recommend him if you are looking for a instructor

I couldn’t recommend Dharmesh more highly. I failed my test twice before finally passing on my third attempt, and I went straight back to him each time.

Throughout the whole process, he was incredibly patient, gentle, optimistic and encouraging. He never made me feel disheartened after failing and always gave me the confidence to keep going.

I’ve had nearly 100 hours of lessons in total, and I can genuinely say that I now feel comfortable and confident enough to go out on the road independently tomorrow. For me, that’s just as important as passing the test. He didn’t just teach me how to pass, he taught me how to actually drive safely and confidently. Something my examiner commented on too and credited my instructor for.

I’m so grateful for all his patience and encouragement, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone learning to drive.

Jon is an amazing driving instructor. I wouldn’t have passed without him. He made me feel safe in the car and gave me confidence but also an understanding of my responsibility as a road user. A lovely man and great company too! I recommend Jon to all my friends learning to drive.

Annie Hawkins (passed 2025)

Raj was an excellent instructor and was very patient, informed and safe! He made driving feel so easy and thanks to him we passed first time!

My instructor Chadi has been a great instructor from the get go. I started learning with him after moving to London after failing a test in Wolverhampton in late June 2025. After 5 months of lessons, I passed in Isleworth today with 2 minors and the examiner was impressed with how I handled a situation.
Chadi is a calm and amazing teacher and anyone who has the opportunity of having him as a teacher is in for a great experience. His lessons are all based off of test routes so the test was a breeze.
I’ve never felt uncomfortable or unsatisfied with the quality of the lessons. I highly recommend him as an instructor!!
