I bought a crossbow from a nationwide company (wont let me spell it lol) and actually like it alot. Killed a nice size doe with it within the first 2 weeks of getting it. I went online to get a sling for it and saw they had a rebate at the same price. Rebate started less than 24 hours from when i bought mine so i tried calling their customer service to see if they would honor it as the price was the same, only thing that changed from the time i bought it was the rebate. Takes forever to get someone on the phone, sometimes there is a call back option. Finally got someone on the phone and they told me to call another department who referred me back to customer service to get permission to approve the rebate... but you cant get anyone on the phone. The company that sold me the crossbow and they dont even have any connections to them. I dont often complain, but just based on the customer service... i dont think i would buy from them again.

Do not Buy a Barnett Crossbow!!!! I have called customer service a several occasions and no one would answer. I bought a Hyperghost 425.Cannot get this bow to pattern on a target,Also there are not any bolts to purchase any where in the country.I am in a business where communication is everything.If Barnett is going to ignore there customers they should get out of the crossbow business.
Bought brand new barnett crossbow
Bought brand new barnett crossbow. First fire limbs broke. Called multiple times and after finally reaching someone told i could not exchange for new bow that would have to ship back and have repaired. Was told I would receive email with shipping label for return. Have yet to receive. Emailed 3 times and have yet to receive a response. Paid 500 for something that didn't even get to use once. Should be able to get full refund at this point but they won't do that. In fact they aren't doing anything at all. Have never received such poor service.
Started with Poor rating but Barnett fixed their issues and made it right. I appreciate their support!
I very rarely complain so you may want to take this review very seriously. I bought Whitetail Pro STR 2 years ago. First time hunting, the limb split. Being under warrantee, I called the number provided. I called several times before getting someone to pick up. I actually had them on my cell phone next to me while I worked all day and they never picked up. I was on hold for 8 hrs with no answer. The next time, I was on hold for several hours, someone picked up and then immediately hung up without saying a word. I thought they must have just hit the wrong button and accidently hung up. The 3rd time, again, on hold for many hours, over 4 hours and finally got to speak with someone. After that, I did get an RCA, they did fix the limb with only return shipping charges for me.
Now, this year. I pull back the bow, first time, to target shoot. The limb cracked this time. I was on hold for about 5 hrs today with no answer. I will try again tomorrow but even if they pick up and even if fix the bow, my hunting season with cross bow will be lost again.
Beyond the limbs that broke, my string stopper fell off (no big deal), so I glued it back on.
I paid over $500 for what I read and heard was a quality cross bow. What I got is a lot of aggravation trying to get to customer service, trying to get it fixed and lost 2 hunting seasons because of it. I would have paid $1,000 for a cross bow that would have worked so at least I could have hunted.
As I stated in the beginning, I very rarely complain or provide negative comments as things happen. I didn't complain after the first incident or the string stopper breaking. Its only after the 2nd year in a row, the limb breaks and now lost 2 deer seasons in a row. Maybe I just bought a lemon but compound this with the worst customer service I've ever experienced, I would never buy Barnett products again.
Edit to my original Review. My original review was 1 star due to the context above. However, I was able to get through today to customer service after only about 30 minutes of on hold. They apologized for the long delays in response. They referenced the original probably I had with my limb and told me they were having problems with the warehouse back then and explained why the delay in return and having a poor report of the limb in the first time. They said they will cover all costs and I should get it back within 3 weeks or so. So, given this, I've increased my review to 3 stars. Hopefully they come through as described on the call this time.
I've now updated my rating to 4 stars as Barnett replaced my riser and returned to me in less than 2 business weeks and ready for bow season. They apologized for the delay the first time it broke and explained they had problems with their warehouse the first time. I believe them as they returned it within 2 weeks as they estimated this time. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't that the limb broke twice but they made it right. Every product can have lemons, I guess I got one of those but they fixed it. Thank you Barnett!! They even threw in a free hat, nice touch.
Poor customer service
Would not provide replacement parts for my daughter's Quicksilver bow. One of the limbs cracked after a few times use, and all I wanted was to buy a new limb to replace this. Guess I'll have to buy her a new bow, but I will stay well clear of anything from Barnett. "Unbeatable customer service"? I don't think so!

There should be a zero star option for their customer service. I emailed them Dec. 30th 2019, 2 days after purchasing to advise of 2 issues. I got an email response 4 MONTHS LATER on 4/2/20 with the simple question "What bow is this?" I responded with the information and of course to advise that waiting 4 months for a response was ridiculous. It is now August and I have yet to hear back from them, even sent a follow up email in Mid May. Buy another brand, these folks are a joke,,,,,here is what they state on their website homepage..."WE'RE DEDICATED TO EARNING YOUR TRUST THROUGH UNBEATABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE" Obviously they do not follow their own credo.
Terrible service
Terrible service! I ordered from them May 30 and paid for 2 day shipping....still waiting. I called about it and was given the run around. Fraud,false advertising and lies. Poor company! (Update) Now they tell me there is no record of my online purchase. Basically I have been robbed!! I will be filling a fraud complaint with the BBB and will contact an attorney. Someone needs to hold these crooks accountable!

I bought a whitetail str 2 years ago , didn’t d shoot more than 20 arrows . I had surgery on my shoulder before hunting season . Went to go hunting in 2019 and the main string started to come apart. I’ve tried numerous times to get a replacement but without success. Sad I went hunting anyway, and the string broke while I pulled it back . Almost knocked me out of the stand . I really liked it at the beginning , but after all the negative comebacks from Barnett o would never buy their product again!!!
Barnett customer service is a joke
I purchased crank cocking device using my PayPal, I called them almost two weeks later and they telling me that my order was canceled without letting me know via email or phone call! They told me there was some error on their side so I made new order using PayPal account and same thing!...then I paid with my credit card i call them the next day if everything is fine with my order and they telling me same thing! I have wasted weeks with them. If I knew that’s how they treat customers I would never buy Barnett brand. I don’t know why they don’t care about customers who are willing to spend money? I have never experienced issues with my online transactions on other websites.
False Advertisement & Refusal to Honer Warranty (Resolved)
I just got off the worst customer service call I ever experienced in my life... I have a Jackal I purchased from Amazon that came with 2 arrows, not 3 last week. When test firing over the weekend, something came loose inside the lens (glue or something / moves around). I called about the missing arrow and getting a replacement scope instead of returning it. The customer service rep I spoke to was very rude and refused to honer the warranty because I purchased it from Amazon. After arguing about it, he put into your system only to tell me that would never be processed... He did it just to upset me even more. Unbelievable, I really like my Jackal and thought pretty highly of Barnett up until this point. But this experience I just had was really mind blowing in bad way and unforgivable. I'll make sure get word about this out and warn people about your shady business practices.
Update: Barnett resolved the issue with the customer support rep, missing arrow, and broken scope. Rating this 5 stars, as they went above and beyond to make up for my experience.
Good service
I bought barnett doa bow online! It was shipped to me with a chipped cam! I contacted barnett customer service an they quikly told me to ship it to them at no cost! They replaced both cams an the string! I could not believe i had the bow back in less than a week with no cost! Is that service or what! Good job guys!!

In this case I am reviewing Barnett Crossbows' customer service, or lack there of. I hate that I have to choose 1 out of 5 in this case, because Barnett has honestly earned a true zero 0! I've been calling and emailing Barnett for 3 months straight. In all of that time I have never made human contact. Every email has gone unanswered. And every call ended in a message stating to call back during business hours, even DURING business hours! 1 out of 5 does not make sense in a case like this, because I have received absolutely NO customer service at all from Barnett. So while being forced to give a 1 implies their customer service really SUCKS, even that 1 is HUGE overstatement! It doesn't suck, because it doesn't even exist! ... Ever sense Plano purchased Barnett, they have dropped to the bottom of the barrel in absolutely EVERY category, and to top it off they then abandon you after they've taken your money... Trust me, just pay a little more, get a better bow, save yourself all of the hassle and disappointment; because that is ALL that Barnett represents now.
I have a wildcat C5
I have a wildcat C5, shot maybe 20 times, now the arrow is released when you push the safety off. When i asked to fix they wanted me to pay for the repair since it was out of warranty. I feel it's more of a safety issue and not a warranty issue. I won't be paying for this and feel I've already wasted my money. I won't be paying for any Plano products in the future.

After having my Wildcat C5 misfire tangling the cocking string around my hand and almost breaking my fingers.
The handle to the cocking rope busted a hole in the foregrip of the stock..
I wrote five emails with no reply then finally called them and all they did was give me the run-around!!
With that being my third Barnett crossbow I can say this I will never buy a Barnett crossbow again their customer service sucks and they are done in my days of hunting

Yesterday I wrote a review about poor customer service. It has been HORRIBLE for almost 3 weeks with no response. But I have to say that finally when they did call me back they were incredible with my questions spent at least 30 minutes on the phone with me never rushing me. The explanation was that this time of the year with hunting in full swing the call support system is just overwhelmed with calls and they are changing their internet to make it more stream lined. But still took forever but they are very patient and know their products. VERY satisfied after they contacted me!

Bought a whitetail hunter this year. Love the bow, called about recommended arrows, and broadheads,for hunting, as they don't work as well as field points. 4+ hours on hold, then they hung up on me, still no answer. Forums have better info, and help. Hope I never have to call them again, could be hours before they hang up on you, like they did me. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Shot maybe 30 arrows on new Droptine crossbow and then the string jumped the pulley. Got a RA from Barnett to return it and that was 2 wks ago. I have heard nothing back and cannot get thru to customer service. When I select individual purchaser it transfers me to a dead line with nobody there, I have tried this 10 times with same results. I called back and selected the dealer option which at least got me on hold for someone but eventually selected the call back option. 20 minutes later I got a call back but when I answered after the 2nd ring they hung up without saying anything. WORST customer service I've ever dealt with. If you are thinking about buying a Barnett crossbow and customer service is important to you, I'd suggest you try calling their customer service first and if after that experience you still want to but one then all I can say is buyer beware!
