Pretty good place
Allot of temp agencies I've used/seen will email you or text you with a shift but arc uses an app that way I can log in and see what shifts are all there.

Hi I've been working with arc, for just over half a year.i find them good,pleasent managers.ive been paid on time,and correctly.because Cheltenham racehorse paid a days training for me to be waiter trained.ive been asked to go back to the same suite all the time when I go back.because I've been told by the manager at owner's and trainers suite that I'm good enough to work there.its frustrating because when I got my job card for the festival in march it said bar work.the manager knows I'm waiter trained.so I had to speak to them at Cheltenham at the back quires where you get scanned in and they changed it.its just alot of hassle explaining it to all over to them.

Fabulous
Arc is wonderful agency to work for. I have been with them for the past 6yrs. They give you opportunity to work in areas you haven't before and each shift is different. The staff are really friendly easy going. I would highly recommend arc to anyone looking for agency work x

I understand that people get shifts on first come first serve basis but even if I apply for the shift within 5 mins of release, I don’t get them. By chance if I get a shift, it gets cancelled at the 11th moment!!

We often have to allocate people with more experience at certain venues. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a certain amount of hours or shifts.

Transparency in payroll process…
The staff are definitely friendly and do help you out if you have any small isuees in terms of not being able to make it to a shift or need uniform.
What needs to be improved is Arc's payroll process -needs a lot of transparency. The pay is monthly as opposed to weekly by many other gig agencies.
While the monthly pay is not too much of an issue, the problem arises when it becomes difficult to verify if you've been paid correctly and for which shift you have not been paid accurately. Neither the payslip not the app is helpful to verify this.
The payslip is sum total of the hours worked, making it hard to identify for which shift there is a pay issue and in the app the pay information is never correct. The shifts worked and pay for each shift can never be viewed, when you contact staff regarding it staff say app glitch.
This makes it very hard to trust arc and there is always an air of mystery on how we get paid. As an employee I do not trust that arc will pay me fairly as there is always a difference in pay. I myself and some of my friends have experienced differences in pay and it's been hard to get in touch with someone to resolve it.
The ubeya app needs work, especially the pay compensation. The app currently reflects that payroll process in arc is not structured, unorganized with a hint of deception. Other gig apps like hap are extremely transparent with their pay which reflects professionalism and trust in the company that workers will get fairly compensated.
Another issue I have with them is the lack of shifts in my city.
There never seems to be much shifts available in Glasgow compared to shifts in Edinburgh which essentially means no work is available for you.

Payment scheme
It is hard to measure my latest experience when I have been working for weeks without payments. These plataform doesn't offer fulltime jobs which makes it pivotal to have a better paying scheme for employees to sustain themselves with at least two week payments.

Thank you for leaving this review. Our pay is monthly due to the high volume of Team Members we have on our system. However, we are considering alternative options for the future and will circulate any updates with our Team.
We always explain to candidates upon their appointment that the work is part-time and flexible. We cannot guarantee full-time hours due to the nature of work on offer. Most people find the flexibility great as it means they are not obligated to work certain days or hours if they do not want to.

The app is no good
The app is no good. Creates a lot of confusion. Managers are very patient and kind to sort the issues though. Please stick to the time allotted and not overwork the employees and transport provided would help more. Please understand genuine reasons of not being able to show up and not count it as a strike.

We are working with our app providers to improve the experience for our Team Members. Recent changes include a calendar for visibility on upcoming shifts and an income section that allows you to view how much you are expected to earn each payday.
Unfortunately, shift timings are always approximate as we cannot predict shift length in advance due to potential client on-site changes, such as extra time at a football match.
We appreciate that sometimes things happen which mean you cannot attend a shift. This is why we have a 3 strike policy for fail-to-shows and always try to be understanding of individual circumstances, so you can continue working with us for as long as you would like to.

Working Experience
I have been working for Arc for the past 5 years up and down the country and they have provided me with the opportunity to work at many prestigious events and venues.
There office staff are extremely welcoming and are always willing to help where they can. I’ve never had an issue regarding wages, and I would highly recommend them as a brilliant employer.

I joined Arc 2019 in Leeds and it was…
I joined Arc 2019 in Leeds and it was going well. Until one fateful Saturday, we were meant to go to Doncaster Racecourse to work so a bus was boarded for us unfortunately, they overbooked lots of us and it was a minibus. So they had to send some people home. I was already on the bus as I was one of the early people but it was funny when it was time to send people home they remove the majority of people that came early and were already on the bus. It doesn't make sense and It was very unfair. Are the others more important than me? We were all there for the same reason (to make money) so why the injustice. Because of this, I didn't pick a shift with them until 2021when I move to Liverpool for uni.
Another thing, I have noticed since I started working in Liverpool Arc is that all the shifts I have been booked for my name weren't on the list ever. I confirm every shift and all. I always write my name on a paper or they write on the system, it now looks like I just came into work without being booked. I always show the manager prove and they all wonder why my name doesn't appear on the list.
Lastly, for the two times when it's payday I don't receive my money in my account that day and any time I messaged the payroll team am always told that I don't have account details with them I should send it. But I did put it on induction, sent it again the first time then they requested it again the second time. I am confused.
I should have given you 5 stars because they are always ready to help and attend to you on the app.
2. They cancel shifts when you message them about the unavailability to attend and they understand.
3. They appreciate when you work for them after every shift by thanking you and showing their gratitude. And they are friendly and approachable.
4. If you feel you've not been paid or paid right they will look into it for you providing the dates and hours you've work and be rest assured they will pay you for your work.
4. Though people find a problem with this monthly payment and the payment has been too small but I think it is OK. As you could work 2-3 shifts (depending on the hours and rate of pay) and you could receive a reasonable amount of money by the following month)

Your guy's feedback makes no sense.
I did say I was sent home even after coming early and was already on the bus... You are saying people volunteer to go home or they choose from those that come late but that was not the case for me.
Secondly... I did mention I confirmed every confirmation before all my shifts but I still get to the venue my name isn't on the list. I show the manager on the shift and they can see I confirmed and they all wonder why my name isn't on the list.
So I don't understand what you all are saying.

We do occasionally have to overlook shifst to account for team member illness and fail to shows. And unfortunately, we do sometimes have to send people away from shifts due to overbooking. The people sent away are typically chosen at random, sometimes people offer to go home, or they are the latest arrivals. Anyone who is ontime for a shift and then sent away receives a minimum of 2 hours pay as compensation.
We're sorry that you have had issues with your pay and not being on the booking list upon arrival. You should receive confirmations for shifts beforehand that when you arrive you can show to the managers onsite.
