Awfull Aftersales Experience
I have purchased 4 brand new Ford vehicles from Allen Ford Nuneaton in the last 5 years and usually only have the first check service before trading them in, they have aways been friendly and welcoming when taking my money from me.
This year I called to book in my 11month old vehicle for is first service with just 8000 miles on the clock, I was politely asked if there was anything else and said “yes” the driver’s door seal has split (first issue in 4 brand new cars over 5 years)
On the 6th Feb I took my vehicle in to the dealership for its service however, there was no mention of the door seal on my booking, I told them on reception of my issue and asked why it had not added on my booking.
What I did then get is a video report telling me I will need new tyres soon, and required a new driver’s door seal instantly at £157
When I collected my vehicle I told them that a door seal on a vehicle less than a year old with just 8000 miles should be covered under warranty (See consumer protection Act “fit for purpose” /” Durability”) “You will need to speak to Ford about it” they replied
Sorry buy if I but a new TV and it fails within 12 months, I speak to the electrical retailer not the TV manufacturer!!
Allen ford Nuneaton said they would speak to Ford and get in touch.
Ironically at 11:29am the very next day 7th Feb I received a call from Allen Ford’s Brentwood office to ask if I was happy with their service the previous day in Nuneaton.
I informed them of the door seal issue, and they were apologetic said they would send me a form to fill out, and someone would get in touch.
One month later NOTHING!!
Guess where my next 4 brand new vehicles WILL NOT be purchased from??

I feel terrible writing this review re Allen Ford Dunton but as a regular customer for the at 10 years I feel I must as this is such disappointing service.
The vehicle in question is a Nov. 2022 Ford Stormtrak.
We use this vehicle a survey/ small service vehicle with an electric bed cover to hide and secure the tool boxes when on the road. The electric shutter has failed to work and is stuck in a locked open position!!
I have just rang Ford Dunton to book this in as urgent as we cannot use the vehicle for its intended purposes.
They have just told me that the earliest time the they can even look at this for me is 27th April. 11 weeks away. What am I supposed to do in then meantime!!!!!
Awful service. They told me they have to book it out for a whole day under Ford warranty whereas a full major service for this vehicle is booked out for 2 hours. It does beggar belief. Where is the common sense in these companies in looking after their regular customers.
No care or concern to my urgent needs with this product fault, just trying to justify why they cannot give the service that is required under Ford's warranty.
They told me the reason is that they apparently only have one engineer to deal with this warranty work as the others have recently left to join the AA for better hours and more money after finishing their apprenticeships.
Astounding to find this out. I was told to approach another local Ford dealership as I may get better service from someone else.
So I contacted an independant local garage who told me its probably because the shutter has gone out of synch and it should be a quick fix to reset if this is the case but they would help ASAP as they realise the importance of this particular vehicle being able to be used for its intended purpose.
In this instance 1 star is too high but you are not allowed to leave a zero score on the trust pilot system.
Classic case of big companies not looking after their regular customers. Whereas little companies value their customers business and realise the need to give good service.

New vehicle purchase.
I recently completed the purchase of a new Ford Kuga Black Package edition from Allen Ford, Wayne was brilliant throughout the whole process. I ordered the car a month ago and had to wait for funds to come in before paying the deposit, I explained the situation to Wayne and he was very understanding and wasn’t pushy in any way shape or form. Just waiting on delivery of the vehicle now, would recommend anyone to speak to Wayne when purchasing a new car.
Poor serving experience
I have been using Allen Ford for servicing and car purchase since 2005. After a service including air-filter change some time ago. I thought I would just clean the air filter as it is an easy thing to do. When I removed the top of the filter box I found that they had screwed the filter up so that it dropped inside the box easily rather than taking the minimal amount of time and effort needed to fit it properly, clipping it into the housing. The filter was ruined so I bought a new one and fitted it myself. It was easy and quick and I'm not a mechanic. You expect a Ford dealer to do things properly. My car has been running with a faulty air filter for several 1000 miles.
Exemplary pre-sales service
A 5 star review for the sales service - even though i didn't buy a car.
I wouldn't normally be bothered with a review from a company i hadn't bought from - unless of course the experience was terrible.
But I felt i had to leave a review for Oli at Allen Ford UK.
I was interested in a Ford Puma for my wife , I had been looking at T ROCs and XC40s. And - i have to say the service I got from Oli for the Puma was outstanding.
The car and the price was fair (and was a good negotiation) but ultimately it was dependent on my wife - and we went for an XC 40 .
What i liked about Oli at Allen Ford - was that he listened to what my preferences were, when to ring, when not to ring - and he did what he said he was going to do. He wasn't too pushy (I would instantly have lost interest) and he came back to me with quotes or revised costs quickly.
So - sadly for Allen Ford - I didn't proceed - but i have to say their pre sales service was exemplary.

Speed of service
I was not happy that my car was not looked at in a timely manner and I had to pick it up without the wrok having been done.
I am sure none of the staff did this deliberately, and that may be they are over worked. However, the delay did upset me.
Swindon Transit centre
Miles at the Swindon Transit centre is fantastic.
Spent alot of time finding the vans we wanted, and making the deal to suit our budget.

Excellent service
Bought our new Focus from Allen Ford. We knew it would be a 6 month wait, during which time staff kept us informed of progress. Delivery went very well and we are extremely pleased with the car and the dealer. All the staff we came into contact with were good but a particular shout out to Dylan Chuter.
Took the money and dropped off a cliff
Ordered a brand new mach e was. Told delivery would be 10 days it's now been over a month and they are not giving any credible info.
Avoid rayleigh and southend branches staff are total morons
Ford Focus
Ford Focus, 2019, serviced with Allen Ford since new, went in for a service a few weeks ago, all fine. Gearbox has now failed, only done 35K miles. Ford says min 2 weeks to strip it to see what needs to be done as their garage is full of gearboxes being replaced, likely cost thousands, no courtesy car in the mean time. Awful customer service.
UPDATE 20/12/2023
Allen Ford Kettering carried out a gearbox change without any consent and then sent a bill for £2.5K. Said if I don't pay they'll take it out and put the unsafe one back in and drive away in that. I collected my car and started complaints process with Ford, awaiting a resolution of a fair settlement price. In the meantime, Danny Vaughan the Regional Service Manager has emailed me saying, 'Notes will be put on our systems against your records, and you will not be welcome to use any of our facilities at any location. This is the company's final stance and is non-negotiable'.
Use RUSHDEN FORD for a proper, friendly and helpful approach.
Allen Ford are not trustworthy. Avoid where possible.

I enquired about buying a new Puma, and received a very competitive quotation. When I called, the information I was given was very helpful, and Wayne followed quickly up with a comparison chart showing the specification of the two model variants we were interested in. We didn't end up buying a car, but the service quality was excellent.
Great experience from first contact to collection
All in all a very good experience from first contact from Alex Stylianou at Dunton Ford to actual collection of my new car, regular updates and informative handover. Even though this is my third vehicle from Allen Ford over the years, Alex still treated it like it was my first experience and made every effort to make it special and exciting.
Needed a new remote for my car. They came to the rescue
I lost my remote for my Ford Cougar and couldn't open or drive the car. Luckily, my wife also has a remote so we could use the car. Allen Ford of Daventry came to my rescue and programmed 2 new remotes for me. They took the car way and provided me with 2 new remotes so I can now use the car again. Super service and a good price.
